This game has a ton of content and will keep you gaming for many hours. Great combat and is adjustable to your play style.

You can play this game in either 3D or 2D mode for a retro feel. Very involving adventure that's been fun to play.

I played the PS4 version some years back that made me love Dragon Quest again. Now when the Switch version was announced as definitive edition, honestly I was skeptical. Let me tell you they are correct, the orchestra music alone is incredible, but with all the extra character play through ( won’t spoil it here) and the 2d mode , it was worth double dipping to play this remarkable game once again.

I waited for this to come to the Nintendo switch because of the portability and the the extra content that the ps4 didn't get

I bought the Dragon Quest XI at Best buy. The game has excellent graphics, good story and characters. Highly recommend !

Well 130 hours later I have finally finished Dragon Quest 11 including the post game. If you're looking for an RPG on Switch, do yourself a favor and get Dragon Quest 11 S instead. 2D mode, orchestral soundtrack, it looks and runs fabulously, a landmark addition to the library.

Played the eshop demo for 4+ hours and fell in love! My first gaming experience with Dragon Quest, but I'm a veteran Zelda player. If you're a fan of Breath of the Wild, you'll love the amazing graphics of this game and the open world exploration qualities. The fight sequences are turn-based, which isn't my favorite style, but every other aspect makes up for it. Can't wait to dive into this new fantasy world!

This IS the definitive edition in my opinion. The performance the music is amazing! I spent over 10hrs on the demo and the save data transferred over! Im just happy to be able to play this amazing rpg anywhere. I highly recommend to anyone and if ur not sure theres a demo available
