I recently started collecting these DBZ seasons on blu-ray. These are worth getting because I believe teh blu-ray specification is here to stay for at least 5 years. Just be aware that because the format of blurays are 16:9 ratio, some of the original video which was made in 4:3 ratio is cropped. However, reviews on amazon and other sites say that the cropping is actually well done for these blu-ray discs.

Highest quality DBZ has ever been. Sure the grain is gone, but I owned a level set with the grain and I did not like the grain. It does cut off a Tiny bit of every scene but funimation went scene by scene to make sure they only cut out as unimportant/noticeable parts of the scene, so usually it isn't to obviously, besides this is what got the majority vote so clearly this is what most people interested in buying it should want. It is a classic and I have loved every second of rewarching it!

I have grown up knowing what Dragon ball was, but never got the chance to see it. I finally decided to put down a couple bucks and buy the first season and it is great. The quality is fantastic, and the story is wonderful. I can't wait to watch the rest of the series. Only wish my Best Buy had the first couple seasons too instead of the later ones

Gave this as a gift to my son-in-law. He loves this kind of stuff. He's been following this series since he was a kid. I was so happy when I came across it in the store. He plays the discs whenever he has the time. It's been one of his all time favorites. I am so thankful I found Dragonball Z, can"t wait to find season 2.

You can't go wrong with DBZ but when you buy it blu Ray man does it go full HD on your screen. All episodes are full screen which is a plus since nobody likes black bars on the top and bottom. I also have Battle of Gods and they appear to use the same menu functions on them but dang that video quality doesn't compare to seeing it on cable

Being a Dragonball fan since it was first introduced in the US back in 1996. So seeing it in released on Blu-ray a second time I got to admit that I was a bit worried since they had stop releasing them a couple of years ago since they didn't want to "mess" up the process by transferring frame-by-frame by overall I am pleased with the results. Most people didn't like the transfer to 16:9 widescreen format as most people preferred the 4:3 full-frame format but I can't complain. Overall, Great way to start recollecting DBZ, this time in Blu-ray format.

All, I've ever seen of DBZ before is random bits and pieces of whatever series my younger brother was watching while growing up, so it's great to start the story from the beginning. Beautiful animations and wonderful presentation. Widescreen looks much different than what I vaguely remember from way back when. Great stuff, excited to see the rest of the show!

The Blu-Ray is a great update to the series. Higher quality graphics, and you can listen to the English Fub or Japanese original or Japanese with English’s subtitles just by changing your settings. If you enjoy the series it’s worth the investment.

This Is one of my favorite shows of all time. I had to add the blu-ray version to my collection. It looks amazing and there’s almost 1,000 minutes worth of episodes in just season 1 alone!

Decided to watch the series on Blu-ray since I never got a chance to watch all the VHS tapes sitting on my shelf. I have no VCR, lol. The entire season 1 on disk. Video quality is nice and the price is fair.

Vegeta just wants to rule his own planet and kill Frieza and beat Kakarot. WHY is that so HARD huh?? Let the guy have some wins. Lord have Mercy on his poor soul. Kakarot is such goodie-two-shoes. Let the king fall and the prince RISE.

The Saiyan Saga is amazing and I had purchased this after catching up on 'Dragon Ball Super'. After buying the blu-ray (which is beautiful by the way) I felt like a kid again, rushing home from school to turn on Toonami to watch DBZ.

This is something any fan of Dragon Ball Z should pick up in a heart beat. This is the beginning of the Dragon Ball Z series which takes place 5 years after the original series introducing the viewers to iconic characters such as Gohan and Vegeta.

This Blu-Ray was a great addiction to add to my collection of other Anime Movies. Dragon Ball Z was always one of my favorite shows growing up. It was good to watch the films again with fantastic sounds and awesome picture quality.

So this is an awesome show. I was excited to see they were starting a blu set even though the quality would be the same with out it. and for the price its a good deal. i will be collecting these slowly as they come out.

Awesome that we can get these in dvd. The only problem is that they always are sold out of one season so you have to wait sometimes to watch it all.

I see a lot of reviews about the cropping but sense I haven't seen the un-cropped version I have no reference, this version looks good and I enjoyed the missing peaces that where taken out of Dragon Ball Z Kai.

Just got DBZ Xenoverse 2 and decided it would be neat to start watching the series again to jog my memory on its events. Very nice to see them available in blue ray and at a reasonable price.

This is the season 1 blu-ray for DBZ, though they have the DVD pictures on the website. It has the correct cover art which links with the other seasons.

I ahead always seen some of the episodes here and there when I was younger. When I saw that the series was on sleep and lso in blu ray I had to get it so far it has been a great binge watch.
