Utilizing Blu-Ray Java technology, this lastest effort from Digital Leisure has succeeded where other versions have failed. The blu-ray version not only has far superior sound a visual, but it also emulates the arcade version to a t. From the same rotation of scenes to the patches of black when the dvd is searching, everything gameplaywise is jsut the same as it was in 1983. Add the extra commentaries with Don Bluth, Gary Goldman, and Rick Dyer and you have a complete package. Hardcore animation fans may dislike the fact that 12% of the original footage was removed from the top/bottom in order to make the transfer to widescreen, but that is minimal to the overal presentation! Definately for DL fans!

This is an amazing release of a game that brings back such fond memories. Fully restored in high definition, and now with 5.1 audio... what more could a fan of these games ask for. This Blu-Ray version looks, sounds, and works flawless... just make sure you have a blu-ray player with fast drive access such as the one in a Playstation 3. You have to see it to truly appreciate it, I would suggest getting yours now.

THIS GAME DOES NOT PLAY ON OUR BRAND-NEW SONY S350 BLU-RAY. Even with the most recent firmware upgrade, we cannot get this game to play for more than a few seconds before it becomes non-responsive and jumps wildly from image to image. After we found that we could not play it, we did some research and apparently A LOT OF PEOPLE cannot get this game to play on their systems. Do a keyword search and check out the experiences of others before you buy. BEWARE.
