I discovered that a relative had never seen this movie, so I wanted to purchase this great classic movie for my relative. I could not find this DVD available in any store even though I prefer to purchase in an actual store. Best Buy had the lowest price that I could find for online purchasing of this great classic movie.

Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman give memorable performances as two people in the Old South on opposite sides of the social spectrum. Seeing how their respect for one another and their friendship develops over a period of time is inspirational.

Funny movie and great acting throughout the whole movie. Some sad moments but not many.

A rich and lovely story with a stellar cast of characters as well as the actors who portray them. A must have for the library!

Will enjoy watching movie without commercials, and will be able to watch from start to finish. A heartwarming movie

Morgan Freeman, Jessica Tandy, and Dan Aykroyd are great. This is Freeman's breakthrough film that placed him, justifiably so, in the top rank of film actors. The entire cast is great with kudos to the three leads. This is a top notch production all the way. The Blu-ray looks and sounds *great* -- better than in the film's theatrical run and better by far than any previous home video release. For story and character development -- this is a top notch film.

Excellently portrays the relationship between a retired school teacher and her black driver during the civil rights movement. Characterizations of that era, from set design to costumes are extraordinary. Dan Akroyd proves his acting chops, and Morgan Freeman is, as expected, believable and character driven. Jessica Dandy excels in her character of a wealthy Jewish woman coming into realization that the world needs to change, and becomes does her best to change with it. Excellent movie.

This movie touches the heart in a way that many others seem insincere. The writing, staging, costumes of the time and production in general was wonderful. Again, the condition of the DVD was outstanding, neatly packaged and easy to use. The mailing packaging could have been more substantial. I was fearful of what I might find because of the way the package was "stuffed" into my mailbox. However, as it turns out...it arrived in excellent condition.

All time favorite movie! Jessica and Morgan plays their roles in such a way that you can’t stop watching it!

A special sentimental movie. Great acting also! This is one movie you can watch again and again and not get tired of.

I was glad to find this DVD. It is such a heartwarming movie. Segregation in the deep south was pretty nasty, but it put everyone though a lot. A must see film.

Relatable movie. I enjoyed watching this movie. Tandy and Freeman had an amazing chemistry. A sure family favorite.
