This is a super handy camera that is cool if you only need a couple of cameras to manage. I love that you can easily watch from your phone no matter where you are. My major qualm is that they're kind of expensive, so if you need more than 2 cameras you might as well look into buying a full fledged security system with a DVR.

I was up and running in a few minutes. Image quality is superb. Night vision is clear, and clicks on automatically. I use the iOS app which works very well, and gives me options like alerts when I'm away from home. It uses the phone's GPS to know if I am home or not. It costs a little more than others, but it is worth it.

This camera was so easy to set up on wifi and then find a location to place it for security purposes. Although it's not wireless, it's adaptable in most locations so it's not easy to see by strangers. The only reason i didn't rate it 5 stars because you have to pay for the cloud recording to maintain the videos that you choose.

I bought Dropcam Pro version around 02/14/2015 from BestBuy and after 15 days trial I decided to keep it. * Camera Setup instruction was pretty easy to follow, but it definitely took me longer than 60 seconds to complete the setup - more like 10-15 minutes which also include figuring out where to place my camera and adjust camera viewing angle... (I believe there was an automatic firmware upgrade done to my Dropcam Pro camera when I first connect to my wifi network which went pretty smoothly as well for me.) * I'm pleased with quality of video, although I'm not sure it's really 1080p quality - perhaps more like 720p. However, it's good enough for me to play around with zoom-in/out features and still able to see face of the person showing up in front of my camera pretty clearly... The night (infrared) video quality is pretty decent also. It's good enough for me to see black and white almost HD quality whatever is placed in front of my camera in near total darkness. * This camera comes with free trial 14 days CVR (Cloud Video Recording). This means after 15 days, this camera is just a regular webcam which you can only view real-time video, i.e. not able to save/review any past footages without CVR. Therefore, I also ended up spent $99/year subscription anyway to be able to view any footage from 6-7 days ago with option of your own 3 hours capability to save permanently any customized footage you want... It's a little expensive CVR subscription, but my neighborhood has a lot of traffice with many solicitors. So for what I need, this CVR makes sense for me to review and to save any footages I want on CVR any solicitors' faces who knocked on my front door even though I may be out of town for a week... * One CVR feature I like is you can also setup zones for motion detections and send alert notifications to your smartphone and/or tablets. This is also a great feature in my opinion to filter out only what I need to see or only it's only alerting my smartphone and/or tablets when motions were detected on my customized zones. Pros: Good HD quality video camera and very easy to setup. Cons: The camera is already expensive, but even more expensive when you add CVR subscription. It appears you'll need both camera and CVR subscription, otherwise, the camera is just a good HD webcam with nothing else on it...

I have researched wifi cameras for months and this seems to be the best one out there with the best review. The angle of view is great and the clarity is good. For alleging to be 1080p, I don't see it. It is a good picture and the nighttime mode works well. I wish they had other options than black cameras since it is harder to conceal. White or silver would be great and an outdoor option would be awesome! I stuck one on a window looking out and it works pretty well. Just have to leave a light on outside at night for it to work and not let it use night mode otherwise it reflects of the glass and is useless. It's remarkable how low light you need for it to do a pretty good job, I will say. I have 3 of these cameras and pay to have the 7 days of recording on 2 of them. This is the other thing that I hate about them. I've already spent $600 on your mediocre cameras and how I have to spend $150 per year for cloud service?? Again, seems to be the best option out there right now. Overall a good camera and good picture... not worthy of 5 stars though.

I installed a dropcam on my Dog's crate so I could keep an eye on him through out the day. I was amazed at how easy it was to set up the camera and the quality image it streams to my phone. OUTSTANDING! I want to buy more.

This Dropcam camera is amazing! So easy to set up. The clarity is great. Easy to zoom in. Another great feature is that you can move it anywhere you want. All you need is an outlet to plug it in. I moved it several times. It has a very wide range of view. I can see 4 doors, and zoom in to see thru the window and see the lake outside. I originally wanted an outside camera, but this one gives me the best of both worlds! Very happy!

I just hate paying DVR subscription fees but I guess it is offsite and secure so it might be worth it. Setup took all of 2 minutes and the app (iOs) is super easy to use and very functional. You can set up zones to get motion alerts which is very nice so you aren't alerted every time the dog walks by. Picture quality is 8/10, night vision 7/10, sound is 5/10 but the wide angle view makes up for lack of video quality. In all it is a great package.

The set up for this webcam takes only a few minutes. Good image (either during day light or when dark) and sound quality of the area when accessing webcam with Iphone app. Cloud recording service comes with a fee, that would be the disadvantage for the full usage of this product.

We have owned several Dropcams. This one is the best ever with wider viewing area, zoom, and night vision. Highly recommend. Only downside,, you must have good wifi coverage in the area you place camera.

Awesome product. Bought it to monitor my dog. Easy to install and get up and running. Works great from my phone, tablet, and computer. Only disappointment is you have to pay for Cloud storage after 14 days. Without the storage you can't review past recordings.

Nice camera..picture quality is good ...my husband bought it for me to keep an eye on my dog when we are not around...so far so good, except she total ignores me when I talk to her via the mic... lol. Seems like the sound has bit too much static...also it is highly sensitive to sound if you ask for those alerts so they keep coming even when you breathe! But haven't look for help adjusting setting yet..so it could be fixable. All in all though -- so much fun to watch her remotely! Also good for security if you put more cameras in but Nest wants $10/month for cloud recording which seems high for just one camera.

I was recently broken into twice and have bought this camera to have proof if broken into again. The video is great, the sound when i'm sitting at my office is wonderful. The motion detection loves my cat but thats okay as i feel a little safer everyday.

We use this monitor our dogs while we are away. It's very easy to set up and easy to use. Night vision also works great. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Easy install...instant connection. Simple app download for all our devices. Free trial period to record and review. I have since subscribed for a year. Picture quality is excellent. Viewing in the dark is great. Gives me comfort to know its in place.

This is one of the best ip cams i have used. The video is comparable to y our higher end cameras. My major issue is intermittent connectivity issues. I also hope they will come uo with a less expensive plan. If u use more than 2 cameras it can become expensive.

This camera had a wide range of view. Centered in the house, we could see all exterior entrance ways. The camera spans as it should when you're moving the camera remotely. We also used an exterior view outside and it worked great at night.

Video is of high quality when wi-fi is in range. Set-up is extremely easy and can be done in less then 10 minutes. Control through mobile device is also easy. A newer model is now available with 2-way speaker(this older model is one-way only).

Bought this camera on a whim, looking for something to keep an eye on the dogs while we are at work. This fits the bill and was very easy to setup and install. Love the 2 way microphone feature as well as the great night vision.
