A Brutal Thriller from Johnnie To
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Johnnie To is one of Hong Kong's biggest action filmmakers and his latest feature to be released in America is a great example of why he is so popular. Drug War centers around a team of cops busting meth traffickers in a country where manufacturing meth can carry a death sentence. After apprehending a big time meth mogul, the cops use him to bust his associates only to find that he is not fully cooperating. It's a tightly constructed and engaging thriller with a brutal ending that distinguishes it from similar Hollywood films. It's a shame that this disc is devoid of extras...

Easily in the bottom 5% of my collection
