    Zimmer creates a soundtrack of both syncopated, rhythmic propulsion, which fosters an atmosphere of imminent foreboding that matches the tension of the film and also at times a cavernous, sonorous sound world that depicts the soldier's sense of forlorn, abandonment. If you like Zimmer, then you will be happy with this work.

    By the end of Dunkirk, what stands out the most isn’t its inspirational message or everyday heroism. It’s the small indelible, unshakeable images that accumulate like the details in the corner of a mural

    The music in Dunkirk is essential. Nolan effectively uses the music to coincide with scenes in the film. Great standalone listen too.

    Another sweeping score by Hans Zimmer, reminiscent of Dark Knight Rises. A suitable match to an epic film.
