after needing a quick psu replacement, i ran to bestbuy and picked up 520 dynex, the only one of the shelf. installed it easily and started it up. just minutes after running it i hear this noise that sounds like two objects or rubbing or a bad bearing. sound got worse, returning product asap. not to mention this product is 20 dollars cheaper online on other sites.

I purchased this hoping that I would be able to use it as a gaming PSU. I purchased the EVGA GTX 550 ti 2gb as a serious upgrade from the on board GPU from Best Buy as well. That GPU needs at least 24 amps on the 12v rail for proper operations let alone installing it. This PSU only does a max of 18 amps on the 12v rail. Avoid this and get the Corsair GS600 for 30 dollars more. Will be returning soon. As a upgrade it fails at that.

Poor design, even if it worked

Cables are way too short, even for a mid-sized case. I had to rearrange all my drives to connect them, and even then it was a stretch. SATA plugs require a lot of force to connect to HDDs. The particular PSU that I got failed to power up at all.
