A Good Tripod At This Price

This style is pretty much a standard in the tripod arena these days. It is very compact when closed and folded which makes it very convenient to pack or carry. It is light weight and you most likely won't notice it when it's carried on or in a bag. Setup is fairly fast but not quite as quick as a click lock style. But still quick enough. I have a range of cameras from point and shoot to pro DSLR bodies. I can say that this is stable up to a micro 4/3 body and lens. Anything bigger than this and it gets a little wobbly. I have used it with a D200/Battery Grip and a 1D and it definitely moves when you got the shutter. But it's rock solid with my Pani GH bodies on it. The mono pod feature is a pure bonus.

A very good, compact, sturdy, yet light "travel" tripod that can support a medium size DSLR with a medium size zoom, especially if swap out the head (which is what I did). As is, it's very good value per price point.

I delayed posting this review until I had an opportunity to use it on a photo shoot. Just returned from Iceland to shoot the northern lights. The entire setup was done in sub-zero temps in total darkness. Removal from the zippered carrying case and complete assembly including adjusting the legs for the uneven terrain was accomplished by feel in the midnight darkness. In a word, flawless. This is an excellent product for all but the heaviest professional rigs. Perfect for a Canon with all the bells and whistles.

I bought this mainly because it was on clearance. I needed a tripod for my trip to Europe. I did take this with me, but wish I had spent more money one a lighter version. It was way too heavy to be lugging around Europe. But it served its purpose and still does. It doesn't have a handle for "panning" But that is ok with me as I am just a still photographer. It does rotate on a ball which is super great! I found that to be a benefit and was able to get just the angles I was looking for. It also has a monopod, I did have not used this feature as of yet, but will likely in the future. Overall it is a super good tripod, it's just on the heavy side.

This tripod is very stable and light. The only thing I would change is getting a better ball head. For this on sale and was an exceptional value

I've looked at alot of tripod reviews until making my decisions on buying this tripod. It's very sturdy, and convenience for travel as it can be folded and stored nicely on the travel bag. Other tripods I had in the past were not travel friendly. The option for Monopod is a great feature where it allows you to unscrew one of the leg and attached onto the main tube. For the price you get, it's highly recommended.

This tripod is nearly all metal with all the features youd hope to have on a professional tripod. Wish it had an arm to help move camera angle but then it probably wouldn't fold up so compactly. Carry case is a bit cheap but works.

This tripod is not the sturidest tripod I've ever owned, but it meets all the needs I have with my large point and shoot camera. It collapses into the same size as the upright extension because the leg will reverse and fold up over the top of the tripod. It's pretty ingenious! I've never seen another tripod use this method of storage. The ball head that comes with the tripod, is above average for an inexpensive tripod.

Simple to use, it's light and practical. I don't have a need for the monopod feature. The cost was great. I've enjoyed it very much. Holds my Canon SLR well. Shots came out clear.

These little tripods are awesome and compact. Is it going to hold a giant camera? Not really. Is it great for travel and being out in the backcountry? Yes.

I was looking for a monopod and found this combo which is very cleverly designed. Versatile and well made. Sturdy based on its weight. The only thing is I wish the head was a bit easier to position.
