there is plenty of variation in height to get the shot you want. and as long as you are going to stay at the tripod for like a steady shot or something its great. but there doesn't seem to be a great way to keep the camera vertical after you get it right where you want it, unless im missing something. if you want to fuss with balancing the camera just right its fine but there doesn't seem to be a knob or anything to tighten to keep it in place.
I would recommend this to a friend

This is a great tripod/ monopod. I really appreciate that each leg adjusts independently of the others. The weight is adequate for the unit.

i was pleasantly surprised upon receiving this t-pod. quality was easily as good or better than some of more known named t-pods.
