Took it back after a couple of weeks. Luckily i purchased a service agreement, which don't feel you should have to on new products, they replaced it.....will see how long it lasts!!

This shredder was a waste of my money, I just wish I had used it more in the first 30 days.. As said before, if you don't put in the paper just right, it tends to jam easily, with paper between the teeth. After shredding about 200 pages, it just clogged up so badly that the teeth bent. After that it was worthless. I now am looking for a replacement and was surprised to see it still for sale. Stay away from this shredder, it's very unreliable, you may just be back getting a replacement or money back.

Aside from bogging down slightly on credit cards and CDs it works great. Frankly I didn't buy it to eat credit cards and Cd's, but rather for the shredding of financial documents. It's been about 2 months since our last paper shredder died and this chewed through the desk-engulfing backlog in about an hour, without jamming once. I'll admit, I did get lazy a few times toward the end, and stuffed unopened envelopes into it as well, easily exceeding it's posted sheet limit. It bogged down when I did that, but still plowed on, didn't jam or clog one time.

First review I've ever written but with all the bad reviews with this shredder I wanted to post about my experience with it. I have owned this unit for over 8 years and I can tell you it has shredded thousands of pages. It sits in the hallway so everyone in the office area can feed documents. Here's the good. I feed way to many sheets at times. It either slows way down and starts to smell or it jams and I hit reverse to clear it. It just keeps going even though it should burn out. The bad: Yup, the paper builds up between the blades and the housing but it keeps shredding anyway. It helps if to push down the shreds so they don't build up to the blades. Also, I don't use the oil because it builds up on the auto switch, turns gummy and makes the switch stick.

Product is what I expected it to be. It's not used for heavy shredding, and is quite suitable for our small office needs.

This is realy good so far. It dose everything it says. After reading the other reviews I had doubts but This shredder proved its self to me. You have to empty it when it needs emptyed and run paper thru it with oil like it says to keep it working like it should but thats normal. It is strong and does every thing like it should with no problem.

Looks great in your home but that is all it is good for. The manufacturer actually replaced my shredder twice (jammed twice under warranty) but hated the inconvenience. The third one has just jammed and I am moving on...
This machine is no good! Before it broke with very light use; it would only shred a very minimal amount of sheets unlike its advertisement. Store was no help on replacing the machine and the parts store-- a best buy company, says they do not offer replacement parts for this model even though they continue to sell these machines as of this posting. The plastic gears on the inside of this shredder are cheap and will break and/or strip out shortly after any warranty period.

My last shredder lasted a year which I thought was good considering it was $20. I wanted a more substanial shredder and this one looked like it would fit my needs. I love how it shreds the paper into confetti so I'm more at ease with my personal information. This shredder was working really good for the first month. It shredded everything smoothly without jams. Then a month later it won't shred at all. I have to adjust the cord to try to get it to work but its a hassle and makes me upset that I've owned this thing for 4 months and now its broken.

This paper shredder does not cut the paper into as small of pieces as I would like. Some things might still be readable.

I bought this for ocassionally shredding papers containing personal information. It started off working well, then after about a month, it seems to overheat and stop. I've never "maxxed" it on capacity, nor have I ever put anything heavy such as thick paper or credit cards in it, yet with around 4 sheets it moves slow and after a few rounds of shredding, it quits. Maybe I just got a lemon, but I wouldn't recommend this to a friend.

I have owned this shredder for approximately 2 years and have had no problem with it even though once in a while I exceed capacity. I use it all the time including shredding old credit cards. As far as the others who have had problems, my thought is that they overuse it a or needed a business shredder.

The only thing I dislike about this shredder is that sometime it is a bit awkward to put paper thru the slot to shred. Other than that it does a very good job.

For the price you cant beat it, but do NOT try to put in more than 4 pages at a time, it will jam up.

It shreds good and I'd buy another shredder just like it.

I'm having the same problems, blades jam with paper.

Had this shredder shipped to my home, opened it up, plugged it in and got nothing. The light wouldn't even illuminate. Returned to store where BB employee said she's seen a few others returned with the same issue. Buy at your own risk.
