I purchased a new computer and to my surprise the cords necessary to hook everything up was missing. You would think that HP would supply necessary power cords. In just two years of minimal use, my HP computer stopped working. Really seem to dislike HP anymore. Their items are made VERY cheap and they never last long so you have to continually purchase new HP products. Save your money and buy a MAC

My son won an old mouse at school but my laptop is wireless so the connector allows him to use his prize but easily disconnect when mom needs the computer.

Wanted to get some more use out of some older tech instead of just trashing it. This let me do that. Does what I needed it to do.

Purchased a new computer from Best Buy and didn't like the key board or mouse that came with the unit so purchased the USB to PS/2 Adapter so I could use my old ones with new computer... I did read all the reviews about this adapter which were poor to say the least but really wanted to use my old equipment so bought it any way.... Well the reviews were correct the Adapter worked OK with the mouse but wouldn't run the keyboard at all.... Returned Adapter with no hassle, Talked to a geek squad member and he stated that this Adapter didn't carry enough current to run both so, I bought a new wireless Microsoft keyboard and mouse combo... Problem solved

I recently bought a new 2 in1 computer. I wanted to be able to use it at my desk as well as while traveling, I had a keyboard I wanted to use but it didn't have the right connection for the port. I thought about buying a new keyboard, but why??? And what a waste. This will take care of my needs at this time and any that may arise in the future.

When I upgraded my pc I realized that my old keyboard, that I liked, had the old PS/2 cable connector and my new Dell didn't have any ports for it, just USB. This cable allows me to keep my good old keyboard and it works like a champ.

    If You're in a Fix...

I bought this adapter to hook an old PS/2 keyboard to my Mac until my Apple Wireless keyboard comes in the mail. I was worried it wouldn't work, but bam, it works excellent. Setup took a while, I'm not sure why. Works like it should. I am only using the keyboard portion and not the mouse connector. The price for this is ridiculous. I don't know how BB can get away with such an overpriced item. But hey, I bought it. This will be returned though. I would only recommend this if you have an old PS/2 keyboard lying around, and are old school. There's a reason USB keyboards have taken over.

    Bad instructions

    Posted .

I had the same problem as other reviewers, the keyboard would work like for 1 second, then it wouldn't do anything. The instructions say "Easy plug-and-play installation; no re-booting necessary". Well, this wouldn't work until I turned everything off, then plugged it in and started my computer. I was really going to throw a fit if I had to take this back into the store. Geez, why not just put one sentence of instructions on the back, or at least correct the 'no re-booting necessary' part. Maybe this will help others.

I got this so I could use an old keyboard with my Wii Internet. I have had no issues with it, but it is a little expensive. I cannot tell you how it works with computers, but apparently not well, according to other reviews. I have had no issues with mine, but buy at your own risk.

I bought a few of these to use with a couple of Cherry G80 point of sale keyboards with touchpads and they work great. It does not work with the Cherry software but I didn't expect it to, thankfully the keyboard is programmable through a key combination to get into an edit mode.

    WORTHLESS - do NOT buy

I should have paid heed to the previous reviews. I thought it would be easier to get this at BB why I was going there anyway. WHAT A MISTAKE. Like many of the other reviews, it did not work. Granted, the mouse port did work, but the keyboard port did not work. I tried reboots, I tried it on XP, Vista and W-7. Nothing, nada. Belkin makes the same item for about $6 less at one of those office stores. I already have one of those and it has ALWAYS worked. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and save yourself the hassle. DO NOT buy Dynex USB - PS/2 convertor . Just get the Belkin. It works like it should and its $6 cheaper ! Now I have to find the time to drive to BB to return this piece of worthless merchendise. Works great! Allows an old PS/2 mouse and keyboard to work via USB. Even makes it plug and play! so you don't have to restart your computer if you unplug!

    Does not work correctly.

Keyboard got recognized in windows 7. Basic typing worked ok, but multi-key inputs were a problem. The problem was if you hold a key down, that key stops being recognized as being held down when another key is pressed. Example being if in a game, holding a key to run/walk, you then hit jump key, which brings you to a dead stop until you release the run/walk key and hit it again. Tested an iogear adapter and that one worked correctly.
