I rate this vacuum five stars for its powerful suction, which performs impressively. However, I need a vacuum suitable for my entire home, which includes hardwood floors, carpets, and thinner rugs (not throw rugs) under my dining table, couch, near doors, and by the stairs. The product description claims it automatically adjusts for different floor types, but it struggles with my thinner rugs on hardwood floors, sucking them up and causing issues. Additionally, using it on stairs is cumbersome, as you must carry the entire vacuum while cleaning each step, which is inconvenient. Overall, it’s a solid vacuum, but these limitations prevent it from meeting all my needs.

This is my second Dyson vacuum and again, I’m extremely impressed. The first one I had was a wireless vacuum and it was versatile but I was looking for something with more power. The amount of quality and attention to detail Dyson puts into their products is unmatched. My wife has been using it for the past 2 weeks and she loves how quick it picks up anything in its path. It definitely saves us a lot of time from having sweep all the time and picking after our son who likes to make a lot mess. It also came with a lot of attachments for corners and upholstery which is a plus. Only thing to keep in mind is that the vacuum is big and needs its own area to store it. Overall definitely worth what you’ll spend on it.

My last Dyson lasted for 10 years. The hose on it split and since I was moving at the time, I really didn’t have the time to find and wait to replace it. I seen this one was on sale so I grabbed it. It works just as great as the old one. I like that it came with extra attachments. A storage bag would’ve been nice though. Overall I love Dyson and I highly recommend especially if you have pets.

I am pleased with the performance of this vacuum. I am still learning the functioning parts, but it is starting to come together. While it does stand up straight once locked in to place, It seems to be a struggle. I am looking forward to using all the parts and very glad I purchased this product.

Great Vacuum! Strong Suction. A little on the heavy side if using on stairs.

Vacuum works great and we got a deal for Black Friday. The thing is that it can almost be to strong. My wife has to use her whole body to vacuum now.

The vacuum works extremely well—the suction power is incredible. The first time I used it, I filled the canister completely, which really showed me how much my old vacuum had been leaving behind. The suction is almost too strong, giving me quite a workout, and I’ll need to figure out how to adjust it since my wife finds it a bit difficult to use. That said, it truly pulls everything out of the carpet and leaves nothing behind. The attachments work great, though the extension hose is a little stiff and not as flexible as I’d like when fully extended. It still gets the job done, though, and overall I’m very happy with how well this vacuum performs.

It’s great on tile or low carpet, but the suction is too high for regular carpet. It’s really difficult too push it on carpet, and the brushes stop spinning. It seems to be a design flaw.

The Dyson Ball vacuum is an excellent product. We are using it at our office and it works well on all floors and carpeted areas. We're very happy with the purchase.

I have never had another vacuum that performs like a Dyson...other than another Dyson! It was absolutely shocking what this vacuum picked up AFTER the carpet had been swept with the old vacuum that was the "highest rated" by a so-called "consumer" magazine made now-defunct big-store brand! Requires very little effort to push on even high pile carpets and the maneuverability is outstanding. The long cord allows me to reach the entire floor of the house from a central plugin. Only bad thing I'd say about is the lack of a tool holder is somewhat inconvenient and the handhelds are kind of awkward. It also takes some DIY thinking to assemble the unit. Instructions are poor/non-existent. That being said of the product...Dyson customer support is absolutely ABYSIMAL! Possibly the worst I have ever dealt with in my life!

Love it, gets a lot of dirt from carpet, sometimes a little hard to push on rugs because of the intense suction, but it’s fine with me for its effectiveness. Definitely beat vacuum I’ve owned

Dyson - Ball Allergy Plus Upright Vacuum - Moulded Blue/Iron 2 week review. I've used the Dyson several times since receiving it. It's amazing how much dirt and dust is coming out of our carpeting, that our previous vacuum was leaving behind. Positives: • Great suction • Easy to maneuver • Lots of attachments • Long Cord - so less stopping to change outlets. • Works well on bare floors • Emptying the container is really easy with the push of a button.

I owned another Dyson for over 20 years and it finally went had enough. After reading alot of reviews I finally pulled the plug and bought this model to replace what I had. Now, is it loud, I personally don't think it's bad. The suction is very powerful! I read comments on the wand being cheap plastic. I will admit it is plastic which I was shocked-it does seem cheap in that area. BUT, it does the job & honestly it is just the wand part that you attach the tools too, I don't see how it could say fall apart. Only time will tell-You do get a 2 yr warranty if you sign up the unit after purchase. All in all I feel Dyson is the best when it comes to their vacums!

Awesome vacuum! This has all the attachments you need and some you don't. It has great suction and is not too heavy to use comfortably. It is easy to push and maneuver.

It becomes a little difficult to push over fluffy newer carpet because the brush is so tight to the ground but it does a great job getting everything cleaned up

I really want to love my new vacuum, as I have loved it's predecessor for the last 15 years, but I really barely like it. It is very heavy and awkward to move around plus, although I have 3 dogs and should welcome it's cleaning power, it actually has too much suction power making it impossible to use on many of my carpets.
