This does all and more than the advertisements say. It is easy to maneuver, can vacuum under furniture and swap heads for pet hair.

Good results on carpeted, wood and tile surfaces. Extension arm and cleaning heads easy to attach and remove. Easy to carry from floor to floor or outside to clean the car. Well-illustrated assembly and filter-washing directions (although the twist-and-turn removal of the cleaning heads from their storage holder could be better explained).

Very pleased with the Dyson vacuum. Not only does it work better than any vacuum I've ever used before, but I even enjoy vacuuming with it. It is easy to use, though does require a little time to get used to the opertating features. Lightweight and mobile, I can use it anywhere on the house.

Quick and easy to get out and use. Picks up a great deal of fine dust and dirt. This is my first bag-less vac, so I'm not crazy about dealing with the dirty bag-less canister - which reaches the full line quickly due to the dog hair; but at least I can SEE that it's doing it's job. Tips over easily because it is so light and head is small so it takes more passes to get an area vacuumed. LOVE how well the cord retractor works!

Nice because its small, light and easy to carry. Force is good. Canister and floor attachments are too small. Have to empty frequently and go over the floor many times. Good for a apartment, not a big house.

If you never purchased a Dyson before, you need too! This is literally life changing! The suction is so strong and all the extra accessories for fragile items or pets make this vacuum the complete package! It is a little more expensive then some other brands that Best Buy sell but you get what you pay for ... and more! It is great on carpet and does wonders on my hardwoods!

This vacuum was nice but it was much too small for our house size. Might be useful for apartment or condo. Returned and bought the larger one.

Best vacuum, lightweight and powerful so easy to use

loved this for the hard surfaces on the house, and for baseboards it was also great. The machine is small and relatively quiet, portable and lightweight. There is a Huge HOWEVER here. I had high expectations from this I was sorely disappointed with its performance on the large carpeted areas of the house. It also didn't want to move backwards, only forwards (meaning it bounced and resisted going backwards following every forward motion, meaning 50% of the process was this annoying bumpy nonsense). I am wondering if I did something wrong, yet this is the first time I've had a vacuum that did so poorly on my carpets and, assuming I DID do something wrong, the first vacuum that required some other special way of working. Not sure what to make of it, but I'm curious if any of you other users out there had this issue.

Bought this vacuum for our family cabin. It has great suction and the canister is easy to remove and empty. The attachments are easy to change. Cord retracts for easy storage.

The wonder vacuum is powerful and very convenient .With all the optional attachments you can reach and clean at an angle. Easy to carry and designed to move with you.

I've used both a Dyson upright and the canister now. I much prefer the canister. it has a better ability for getting into places. The uprights handle hose makes it difficult at times.

I bought this Vacuum on a deal from bestbuy but still one of the best Vacuum . Its suction is so good that it could pull of ur carpet if you have it for some seconds on the carpet. the one thing i hated was the width of the carpet cleaner . It covers a small area compared to upright vacuum. but still its really a great one with warranty for a long time too

I have three dogs and two cats, and they tend to leave a mess of hair everywhere. This vacuum gets almost every last hair.

Pros: Great suction. Bagless canister. Very lightweight. Canister follows you very well. Works as advertised. Being a Dyson, it'll last forever (I've owned them before). Cons: Short power cord (norm for the style regardless of manufacturer, unfortunately). Smallish attachments. Small canister requires frequent emptying.

Summary: Buying this DC-47 to complement DC-41 since DC-41 is too big to maneuver in certain locations of the house. Pros: * Light weight to maneuver (teens can vacuum now) * Push a knob to retract power cord to the canister. * Carbon fiber floor tool does the job well to reach under tables and clean the tile floor. Cons: * Canister may flip over * Power cord is not long enough * The width of main cleaner vacuum head is too narrow (good as a secondary vacuum, but too expensive then). DC-44 or DC-35 can do the same tasks but more portable

This is my second Dyson. My old one lasted me for over 12 years and never lost power. The DC 47 is a very practical and powerful machine. Very please with my purchase.

The head of this vacuum stinks. The suction hole is to small. Also the spinning brush in the head gets stuck all the time.

Overall the vacuum is good. The floor tool is sort of small but handles very well. Due to the small size of the unit it can be stored very easy in just about any location.
