Always see Dyson is a great vacuum. Not so for this one. Small, not easy to maneuver. Hose Suction not very strong.

If you buy the extra attachment beware it won't store on-the machine. Other than that this machine is great

I got this vacuum to replace a Dyson upright that we had to put down early this year. The kids were particularly distraught over the sudden loss of the family vacuum cleaner. I wanted to wait until the holidays to bring a new one into the home. I don't know why we waited so long. Our lives felt so empty without one scurrying around the house.

Performs as expected. Stores well. Easy to change tools.

Vacuum works great!! I am officially a dyson fan now.

Besides the main attachment not working correctly 1/2 of the time, the canister can be hard to empty even when it is not full.

It won't do well in a large home and the suction was a problem I returned it and got the stick Dyson

This vacuum works fantastic for me as my house is mostly hard floors. I have several animals in the house and have yet to experience the head jamming up due to the fur. The vacuum doesn't do as well on the thick throw rugs I have around the house as the brush is not motor or belt driven.

We have another Dyson upright as well, but it didn't work great on hardwood or tile. This one does not blow things around while you're vacuuming since the air flow is not next to the head.

i purchased this to deal with dog hair as is listed in product description- head gets clogged with hair after a short time, wheels get clogged with dog hair, have to empty bin several times during one cleaning- cord is too short to do more than one room- this is a 99 dollar vacuum masquerading as a 500 dollar vacuum-DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE DOGS-

It stung to spend that much money on a vacuum. It's made vacuuming easier for us with wood floors and several stories. Works well with dog hair removal with the pet hair tool.

We are a true Dyson family, from fans and heaters to vacuums. We love the workmanship and the design, keep doing a great job.

I don't like filling out long reviews. I like the product but the last one had a plastic tab that broke off.

When our LG canister vac died, we tried to buy another, only to find they no longer make vacuums. Our criteria was a bag less canister that could do well with pet hair. Having used a Dyson upright before, we were open to another Dyson. This one popped up on a daily special at a good price and we jumped. The good: maneuvers well, good suction, empties and cleans easily. The not-so-good: this is a SMALL vacuum. Like 1/2 size. Which makes it lightweight but it takes more work than a standard size vac to cover the same area. The power brush head is actually driven by the air suction, and ours died within a week. Dyson customer service was great and after some required troubleshooting sent out a new one. I would prefer a head that is truly powered. This one can switch to non-powered (suction only, no powers beater bar) way too easily. Overall. It does the job. Would I get this model again? Probably not - but I would consider other Dyson canisters the next time we have to buy a vacuum. Hopefully not for a few years.

It's ok for small jobs but it's not what I was expecting if I recommend it , it will be for small jobs such as cleaning out a car or for steps

This item worked amazing until about a week after the warranty ran out. A few little plastic things here and there broke throughout my time but right as the warranty went, so did the motor. You would like to think that if you spend this kind of money that you are getting better quality and customer service, you aren't. Don't be fooled, save your money.

We had a Dyson from a few years back that has great suction but the mechanical parts (such as tubes and swivels) left much to be desired. Needed a new vacuum for a two-bedroom apartment with carpet in which two cats are living. Tried this one as people said it was great for picking up animal hair and Dyson had supposedly improved the mechanical movement, etc. Pros: Vacuum is lightweight and it does pick up cat hair, litter crumbs, etc. fairly well. It also clogs less, moves more easily and has less trouble with the attachments falling off/ telescoping down suddenly than my last Dyson did. Cons: Carpet sweeper head is so small it's like a kid's toy. Plastic controls such as button for cord rewind and knob for carpet pile height do not work reliably. Takes forever to finish one part of carpet with that little head and though carpet is short to medium pile, it can't really handle the pile. Would be hopeless on a deep carpet. Canister is also tiny and needs to be emptied after about 5-10 minutes of use. Canister also tends to spew dust on removal from machine or on opening. Will get a different brand for next vacuum.
