This was my first Dyson and this vacumn lives up to its name. My whole house feels so much cleaner now after running the Dyson over the floors. I love the fact that it automatically adjusts itself going from carpeted floors to bare floors. It has proven to be a real gem and a definite worthwhile purchase!

Had to replace our old vacuum (not Dyson brand) because it was making a loud high pitched noise that was very unbearable. Other reviewers said that the bottom of the canister would stop locking in place so all the dirt fell out. We bought it anyway because it was no big deal, We had a similar Dyson that had that problem before. It was used, but it worked. That’s why we decided to go with this one. It picked up so much fine dirt, besides hair and stuff, from our carpet. We were in shock. We couldn’t believe how much tiny dirt was stuck in the carpet, and couldn’t believe how much dirt the previous vacuum missed! Other reviewers also complained about the handling of it. It is a bit on the heavy side, but not hard to handle. My wife has trouble with heavy objects because of a hand problem, but she can easily maneuver this with hardly any trouble!

This vacuum has very powerful suction. Much greater than I'm used to from my older Hoover. This particular model is specifically for multi-floor use with the idea being that you don't have to continuously bend down to adjust the height of the roller when changing carpet/floor heights. Personally, I feel this function is better suited for non-carpeted floors. Other reviews state this machine is hard to push on longer pile rugs, which is sort of true, but it is much more difficult for me to use on our low profile area rug. To be fair, it is a very cheap rug. We do also have a long pile rug and the limited height adjustment does make for a good should workout. The rest of our house though, has average medium pile carpet on which the vacuum works beautifully. The attachments allow for easy stair and sofa cleaning and it's very easy to switch from push-vacuuming to attachment-vacummuning. I will say that the handle feels like it could crack pretty easily, especially on the higher pile carpets that make for tougher pushing. Also, it can be tricky getting the vacuum to lock in the standing position. There isn't a door peddle or anything, it's sort of automatic. You just have to get the hang of it. Pros: STRONG suction, excels on hard floors and medium-low carpets, long cord, bagless, life-long filters, easy switching to attachment-use, easy to assemble Cons: expensive (unless you get it as a deal of the day), flimsy-feeling handle, difficult to push on thin area rugs and long pile rugs, sometimes tricky to get to stand upright and vice versa

Best vacumn I have ever bought. it has more suction than a Kirby that I had owned years ago. The weight is light and not heavy compared to most motor driven vacumns! I rate it 5 stars for everything, price, usage, weight, looks!!

We were in search of a new vacuum and knew we wanted a Dyson, we were just unsure of which one. We selected this product and it does great (I am very particular). The suction power is very strong and the vacuum is easy to maneuver once use to. I would recommend this item.

I’m in love with this vacuum cleaner. The suction is insane, it’s easy to assemble and stores easily. This is definitely worth every dollar paid and this is the only brand I will buy going forward. You will not be disappointed on this one.

I am so happy I finally decided to get a Dyson. After my cheap vacuum stopped picking up dirt, I knew I needed to buy a good quality vacuum that will last. It really works and picks everything up. It glides easily and is light weight compared to my older vacuum.

This vacuum was probably a little overkill since I have only a couple area rugs and mostly laminate flooring. With that in mind: 1. Cleans area rugs very well. I thought it was able to remove a lot of dirt and helped bring the rugs back to life. 2. This vacuum is not intended to work on hardwood floors very well without an attachment. I purchased the attachment separately. The suction for attachments is very good. Only issue I have is that I'm concerned that I will destroy the hose (near the handle) as that area seems to receive a lot of stress/crimping when using an attachment to clean the hardwood or ceramic tile floors. 3. It is extremely easy to empty the container filled with dirt. There is a lot to like about this vacuum.

Easy to assemble and well packaged. The vaccum has a powerful suction and lightweight. It's easy to maneuver and clean bin at midway to have continuous powerful suction. This is better than my dirt devil I had. I feel like it picks up crumbs from the floor just as goid as a broom. It really is the first vaccum you should invest in considering I've gone through 3 and should have just bought a Dyson to begin with.

The suction power of this vacuum is really high. It is capable of getting the dirt and the dust from both carpets and floor; it's also fairly easy to empty the container for the dirt and dust. The only thing that is not perfect is: it cannot clean up the whole area under the bed. Generally speaking, Dyson's vacuum is really great.

Excellent performance for the money. The difference in performance of my old Hoover and this Dyson is night and day. I was surprised at what it sucked up in one use. The vacuum is also very lightweight which is nice. Overall excellent product.

This is a great vacuum. The suction is supreme. The ball style takes a little getting used to but once you do it's easy to use and is great when you want to hug corners or navigate through tough places. The hose attachment is great too

Love this vacuum, powerful suction, easy to maneuver and turns on a dime. Love that it's easy to remove and dump the canister. I was fortunate and bought it when it was on sale.

this is by far the best vacuum I have ever owned. It does an amazing job cleaning the floors, and the wand has really strong suction. It is very maneuverable, and easy to use.

I hate paying more (though this Dyson was actually close to other high end vacuums at Best Buy) but Dyson is simply better made. This vacuum has incredibly strong suction and moves between my floors (wood, tile, carpet) adjusting level automatically. The ball takes some getting used to, it doesn't move like a traditional vacuum so you sort of have to figure out how to move it but after some use it gets to be second nature. The only downside I have seen is that the cord doesn't detract automatically, it is one that you have to unwrap and rewrap after each use and that annoys me after having that feature on my last vacuum. Overall it just works, every time, with basically zero maintenance (clean filter in sink every now and then and get hair/lint off roller) and great performance.

This sweeper is lighter weight than my old sweeper, maneuvers easily on my rugs as well as linoleum kitchen floor. Suction is very strong. I like seeing how much dirt is pulled out of the rug in the transparent container.

What a difference this product makes..cleans what other cleaners left behind, essy to use..light and powerful...thumbs up

Many plusses to this product. I enjoy the fact that you can empty the dirt ben so easily. It is very easy to us and has really good pickup. The attachment are on board and easy to access. The filters are also easy to clean.

I purchased this. Dawson Bagless vacuum to use in my home I have Carpeting and also tile. I'm able to use it on both floors which makes it very convenient it also has other attachments to use to clean furniture it's easy to use and and slides on the carpet and flooring I used it to replace an older vacuum I'm glad I purchased this one and the price was also great for this product it was on sale would recommend it to others

I tested it to see if it’s high reviews, were adequate. Performance is awesome. I was surprised at the heavier weight, in my opinion all great things are built solid. I am not convinced at the pivoting motion Of the head, wish that it had an option to lock it. Using the attachment for the stairs was a plus. Overall, it is priced right and the performance is excellent.
