My last Dyson lasted 10 years before my dog chewed the cord in half. I was able to fix it by buying new parts, but then we decided to get a newer dyson to have an upstairs and a downstairs Dyson. This machine is a beast, and I swear the older one cowers in fear when this is out. This pulled dirt out that may have actually been trapped in time and space. I love it so much.

Great product, was easy to put together and does excellent work

This vacuum works so well it actually grossed me out when I tested it. I used my regular vacuum one last time then used this new Dyson immediately after. I could easily feel the stronger suction of the Dyson. When I got done vacuuming, it was gross how much dirt and dust it picked up out of my carpet which is both gross and awesome that it works so well.

We have used this several times in the last few weeks, and it works great! Took a few minutes to put together, and is living up to expectations. Note that Dyson provides 5 year parts and labor warranty. I hope not to use it, but consider that when looking at an extended warranty.

This is a nice compact unit it is easy to use and really sucks up dirt.

I had other vacuums which showed dirt WAS being picked up. But THIS was incredible, the amount of dirt picked up was 10 times better. Its very cumbersome when trying to use on stairs - the extension hose only goes so far, then you need to switch positions. So I bought a B&D handvac for that purpose. But I cannot complain based on the results from main traffic areas

Upgrading from a sub-$100 hoover that was old. This thing is rock solid so far. zero complaints. sounds lame, but I enjoy vacuuming with it

Do yourself a favor and invest in this vacuum - much better than cheap sharks, etc. 5 year warranty, and built to last 10 years so you'll get you money's worth

What more is there to say. It’s Dyson so you know it will suck. Owned Dyson since they came out. Took this vacuum to my parents house since they have a couple dogs and have been using a Shark rotator lift away and they couldn’t believe how much the Shark left behind. They are now looking at returning the Shark and getting a Dyson lol.

I love this one. It works great. I love how it goes from hardwood floors to carpet automatically.

I moved recently to a house that mainly has carpet with tiles on some parts. I vacuumed the carpet a day after the landlord brought a company to do shampooing. The dust filled half the container. I was surprised of the stunning result and its super power. I cleaned ceilings, walls, windows, filters, carpet and tiles. It is a must have in a house full of carpet!

Very pleased with this vacuum! I would highly recommend it. It works so well on all floor coverings from carpet to laminate to hard wood. Light weight and easy to maneuver throughout the house. Picks up well and easy to remove bagless compartment when full. I love this vacuum.

Very strong suction and light enough to carry up the floors.

Dyson overall is a great product. The ball stand takes a bit to get used to. This particular model seems a little light weight and you will notice that when your using the on board tools and hose. The suction is so strong it will knock the vacuum over, possibly knocking other furniture over. Overall it’s still a very good machine and I would still recommend this vacuum.

First time dyson user. This would be replacing a old eureka vacuum. So far it performs like I would expect from dyson. Pretty simple to assemble but its not as intuitive as other vacuums, so it might not be great for elderly. Overall great so far and would purchase again in the future.

very strongest suction ever. use less time on vacuum now. but the issues are the cord and remove the dirt due to bagless filter.

Fantastic purchase! Who thought anyone could get excited about using a vacuum? I've always purchased low-end vacuums but got tired of buying a new one every 6 months due to poor quality. This Dyson is a beast and you'll be scared you when you see just how dirty your carpet is because of using cheaper and less powerful vacuums :).

The vacuum has good suction. However, more suction from the side of the of rotation brush than from the front of it. If I push the vacuum forward and have the front of the vacuum directly against the wall, the area an inch or two from the wall will not be sucked up. However, if I pushing the vacuum along the wall (the side of the rotation brush housing is in contact with the wall), most of the debris are sucked up.
