Second one was not the ball design and I didn’t like it as well and the design was poor. The hose cracked and had to be taped before it was 2 years old. I decided to try a new Dyson with the ball, hoping it would perform as well as my first Dyson. I was very disappointed at this machine. It has the same poor design with the hose, it is impossible to empty the dirt from the canister without having to stick your hand up in the dirt and hair stuck in the canister, the hard floor attachment cannot be steered at all it goes willy-nilly in all directions. I bought a Shark and am much happier.

Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. I'm sorry to read this review and see how disappointed you have been with your Dyson Cinetic Big Ball upright vacuum. Your vacuum features one-click bin emptying. There's no need to touch the dirt, just push the button to release it. The bin of your vacuum will have a MAX fill line to indicate when it is full and time to empty. We generally will recommend emptying your bin by at least the top MAX line that the bin has. Also, the clear portion of your bin does remove for optional maintenance if desired.

We have had better and at lower price vacuums than this. It's disappointing, hopefully I can fix it and make it work for a little longer at least.

No problems, until the dog chewed the cord. I replaced it with another Dyson ( not the ball design). I did not care for it. The design was bad. The hose cracked and broke within a few years. I decided to go back to the Dyson ball for my third vacumn. It was awful. Same flawed hose design. When trying to use the hard floor attachment, it was impossible to maneuver. The WORST part is when you go to empty the canister. The design makes it impossible to just eject the dirt and hair by simply pushing the release, as my previous Dysons did. The dirt and hair sticks inside. I had to stick my hand up in the canister to pull the debris out of the canister. Who wants to dig the dirt out of their vacumn? Not me. So after six months, I bought a Shark for half the cost and am much happier.
