We have had several upright vacs over the last 25+ years and the Dyson DC25 does a better job than all of them! We have had it for a year and are just as happy with it as the day we bought it! we cleaned our carpet with our old vac and then went over it with the DC25 and came up with alot of dirt the old vac left. I would highly recommend the refurbished DC25 as you save at least 200.00 and it looks and works as good as one you would pay full retail price for. You get a 6 month warranty on it. If you want a longer warranty you can pay 200.00 more dollars for the DC25, but I think it's a waste of money. We ordered ours on line at bestbuy.com and it was shipped to the local Best Buy at no charge where we picked it up.

This is a great buy! It came in looking new and perfect. I have had my previous bagless vacuum for several years and thought it was great until it went out for the 2nd time. Bought the Dyson on recommendations from friends and online. We've purchased other things refurbished, and thought we would give this a try. It's fabulous! Works better than my other vacuum ever did. My carpet looks revitalized and my dark hardwood floors (that show every crumb) have never looked better. It's not super lightweight, but because of the ball it's very easy to move around (and I'm almost 9 mos. pregnant right now!) My 7 year-olds even like to use it. I no longer have to stop and empty the canister midway through vacuuming my house like I used to, but it's actually very easy and tidy with the Dyson. I have to say that I've only had it for 2 weeks, but it has been wonderful!

After doing some research and talking to people the DC25 Dyson was the vacuum I decided to go with. I have a lab and beagle so i needed a vacuum that would really get up the dog hair. We vacuum at least twice a week and after one use with the DC25 Dyson we were amazed at how much hair and dirt this vacuum picked up that our old vac left behind. It literally looked like we had not vacuumed in months. We went back to take a closer look and there was no more hair in the carpet. So if your a pet owner this vac works great. The ball technology is wonderful and makes turning easy and hassle free. There have been some reviews about people having problem using the wand. The problem is not the wand its the people trying to operate the machine without reading the owners manual on how to detach it. The wand is easy to use and accessible but the only issue i have with it is you cant really stretch out the tube and keep the vacuum stationary. But other than that it was a great addition. I was a little worried about getting the factory refurbished model mainly because the warranty was so much shorter, but the model i received looked brand new and there were no problems with it was so ever. Great Purchase.

I was looking into buying a brand new Dyson DC25, but came across a refurb on BestBuy.com for a fraction of the price, so my husband suggested that we purchase it since refurbs usually function better than brand new products after being tested, tweeked and retested again and again. When we received the vacuum, not only did it look brand new, it performed much better than I expected! Put it this way, I went from vacuuming once a week to vacuuming three sometimes four times per week (yes, you can call it an obsession)- especially since we have a new baby in the house. One particular feature I absolutely love love love about this vacuum is the bare floor feature... you can turn the brushes off when vacuuming on bare floors - so it sucks up all of the dirt and dust without blowing any debris out like other vacuums do. It's such a great, I tell ya! So if you're looking into buying a new vacuum... or if you're planning on buying a new Dyson DC25, check out the refurbs first! You won't be disappointed.

I have replaced 3 vacuums in 4 years. 1 of which was really expensive. After spending tons I went to a mid-priced one, it lasted a while (1 year 1/2) but then parts started to break; rather than go through the hassle of trying to find parts and fix it my husband just wanted to buy a cheapo. We did and definately paid for it. It didn't suck up the dirt at all and spent more time clogged than working. My carpet looked dingy and dirty; worse after vacuuming than if I had just left it. In short it was ruining my carpet. My sister owned a Dyson and swore by it, as they had theirs for 4 1/2 years. I decided to give it a try. The dirt I vacuumed my first time filled the cannister 3 times. I could see that the dirt it sucked up was the really fine dirt that my other vacuum didn't get. As far as the hose is concerned it isn't my favorite feature. It does take quite a bit of effort to pull it out, however once it is out it sucks up great. The machine itself is easy to manuever and light enough weight for my kids to carry up and down the stairs when they vacuum. I have only had it 3 weeks so I am still waiting to see if it will continue to suck this strong or fizzle out like all the others. Time will tell, but for now I like what I see. My carpets are clean again!

I was very hesitant to spend so much money on a vacuum (this price is so much better than the new prices other place though), but read other reviews and decided to try it. When it came, I was disappointed, because it's so lightweight and small and I didn't think it would measure up. But I am happy to say that I was very wrong. My dogs (we have two) shed so much hair that we go through $75-$150 vacuums like crazy. They clog and we have to clean out hoses and filters every time before vacuuming. Not with this baby! It is easy to use and it SUCKS THAT HAIR RIGHT UP! My house has never been cleaner! And I also love that I can switch from carpets to hard floors by just pushing the button! The hose takes a little practice to use the attachments, but I love the suction on that too. If you go through vacuums, this Dyson is a wonderful investment and worth the price!

After getting enough grief about the cheap $100 vacuum we have not working very well I thought I would try a Dyson. It showed up this week, and just trying a couple of spots it sucked up 3 full canisters of dirt! We vacuum at least once a week and I was amazed at how much dirt came up from the carpets. It's night and day compared to the old cheapy we had. The only hassle is that right away the carpet brush is intermittant, and I have to replace. Having bought it online, and mistakenly thrown away the box I have no idea how I'm going to package it to send it back via shipping since bestbuy.com said returning it at a store isn't an option. Stinks that it showed up defective, I can't return to a store, and I'm not looking forward to the hassle of trying to figure out how to package it back up. Wish BB.com would allow store return. Other than that it's an amazing vacuum.

I bought a refurbished vacuum and was a little worried, but it works GREAT! PROS: It works better than any vacuum I have ever had. The ball is awesome and non-restricting like normal four wheeled vacuums. Cleaning is very easy and doesn't require unscrewing anything - for filters and the bottom brush bar. It's amazing! CONS: The hose fits back into the vacuum as the handle, which is really cool, but it makes it a little hard to wield because its got a long handle bar in the front and and equal sized hose down to the vacuum. Perhaps I am just too worried about stretching it too much and breaking it, but at the moment it makes it kind of awkward to clean the stairs and upholstery.

This vacuum picks up everything & yet is pretty quiet - it is very manueverable making it very easy to use. I have a dog & can't believe how much dog hair was in the carpet - The wand is a little clumsy to use but it sure cleaned the corners & edges. I'm not sure how it would be on a flight of stairs because i don't think the wand is long enough to reach the top from the bottom as it shows in the manual. But I love the machine & the price was great - as a rebuilt it looks & was packaged just like new!

The best part about this is the size and ease of use. I have a bunch of tile some wood and some very thick carpet. On tile it picked up great and was easy to use. The wood floor, it did great. I do need to use the wand to hit the corners...Easy to do, just pull the wand and your good to go. Simple and easy. My carpet is really deep Frazee. It does have a hard time picking up larger objects. Have only had for a few weeks, I would recommend this.

Don't be scared of buying a refurb dyson, it's just like new! After looking at the website, Dyson sends vacuums that have a problem after assembly back through the line to be re-worked and then considers them 'refurbished' Ours had never left the factory and was brand new. Great deal!

Great job cleaning all types of floors. My only gripe is the hose is so hard to stretch out that it is almost impossible to use. I can not pull it far enough without pulling the machine along too.

This is the best vacuum I have bought for pet hair! Purchased the refurbished one and it arrived looking brand new! The amount of hair it picks up is amazing- can't believe I waited so long! Well worth the price!

Received the vacuum as if it were brand new. Perfectly clean, all parts and product information were enclosed. Definately worth the money, easy to use, relatively lightweight and emptying the cannister is quick and easy.

who knew vaccuming could be so much fun. great suction power, it is amazing how much stuff vacuums up. it is also easy to use & light weight.

Easy to maneuver. Not heavy to pick up. Instructions are limited on how to change it to hose vaccumming. Overall, I like it.

I just sent this to Dyson, My wife bought a DC 25 ball, all floors model with every attachment available. I use it occasionally. It is the most worthless, frustrating device I have used in 50 years of buying things. Last night we fought with it for 15 minutes trying to get the wand out to vacuum up some pretzel crumbs. Today the rug beater won't engage. We have owned it for about 6 months. I'm going to go down to the garage and get the $150 Shop Vac to clean up the household mess your vacuum can't. I'm glad your advertising works because your product certainly doesn't.
