Thanks for your review. We're very happy to hear you are enjoying the light weight and easy assembly of your DC56 cordless. At a mere 4.7 lbs, this machine is able to deliver fantastic suction power in a very portable package. By delivering 65 airwatts of suction power, it ranks among the most powerful handhelds on the market.
In addition to this, the DC56 offers up to 15 minutes of fade-free performance before requiring a recharge. Using a nickel manganese cobalt battery pack, the DC56 releases its charge evenly so there is no drop in performance. Other cordless machines may claim longer run times, but thanks to fading batteries, clogging bags and filters, they can quickly lose up to half their suction power in use. When empty, it will take 3.5 hours to get back to full charge. This has been reduced from 4.5 hours on earlier Dyson cordless and handheld models.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this review. It is unusual to hear that your machine is only getting 2 minutes of run-time. The DC56 is designed to provide 15 minutes of continuous power on standard power mode and 6 minutes on the much more powerful MAX power mode. When purchased new, this machine will come with a 2 year Dyson warranty as well as a team of experts that value the opportunity to ensure your machine is performing as it should.
