I have had many vacuums and have never had a hose come apart. Just after 2 years mine fell apart. Called Dyson and they said they would not cover the hose. We do not abuse our vacuum. I cost way to much for this vacuum for them not to cover $40 hose.

Bought this after we got a cat. Literally the biggest waste of money ever. The machine is hard to use and often runs over simple items on wood floors without picking it up. Not sure what "never loses suction" means. Further the wand is designed such that you can't use it around corners because the wand is literally a part of the main machine's handle so it doesn't flex. "Slim design" but useless. Forget cleaning out your car. When you pull out the wand to use it, it pulls the main machine over on you. I contacted Dyson shortly after I bought the machine to raise issues about the design. The one and only response is "we make the best machines ever". TOTAL waste of money. My 15 year old Hoover puts this machine to shame. If you want to impress your maid, buy it. But if you intend to clean yourself, no question that you will be disappointed.
