Customer Ratings & Reviews

I really like this fan overall. It’s compact, lightweight, easy to carry, and has a sleek premium feel. The airflow itself is strong, especially considering how small the fan is, and it’s convenient for travel or keeping in my bag on hot days. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the airflow is pretty narrow. I expected it to cover a wider area, but you have to position it fairly directly toward you to really feel the full effect. I wish Dyson had designed it with a slightly wider airflow while keeping the same compact size. Overall, I’m happy with it and will definitely keep using it. A wider airflow would make it a 5-star product for me.

Una super buena compra, funciona súper bien, las velocidades y su potencia son buenas

This little unit surprised me. The power out of the Dyson HushJet mini will surprise you. The jet has five levels and the fifth level to me is very powerful. I work in retail so of course with the temperature as high as a 101 the pass few weeks this little fan was a charm. Yes it it is a little pricey, but it was worth it. It comes with a lanyard to hand around your neck and a small stand so you can place it up right. I purchased a case from Amazon to protect it. I love this unit.

Dyson deserves a great deal of credit for their unique, clever, and effective engineering. Over the years my family has used - and has been impressed with - their vacuum cleaners, bladeless fans, and their blow dryers (which my wife uses in her salon). And, while the Dyson HushJet Mini Cool Fan does technically work, it does not feel as polished as Dyson's other products. The design and color choice of this fan are quite polarizing. The color is less pink than it is a strange bandaid flesh tone. This is especially unfortunate as the styling makes the object look like some type of adult toy. Every time a new friend or family member lays eyes on the HushJet Mini, their face twists into confused concern. Looking down the barrel of this fan is like gazing into the oral surface of a Starfish. While the mouth of the fan is designed to look like the opening of the much larger HushJet Air Purifier, its cavity looks more like a puckered worm. Design oddness aside, the main issue is that the fan is quite loud. Apparently, attempting to hush a jet doesn't quite work as the fan quickly exceeds 70 decibels - which the Hearing Health Foundation states can cause hearing damage over time. The fan produces a certain high-pitched whine that is difficult to describe. But, I personally cannot use the fan indoors or anywhere that one expects any level of quiet. While it is the perfect size to set on a desk, I simply cannot use it without literally hurting my ears. As I am writing I am literally experiencing discomfort in my left ear from using the HushJet for just 10 minutes. ...I definitely would not feel comfortable using the HushJet at work as it would bother coworkers. While "Hush" is not an appropriate adjective, this fan truly does feel like a jet. I personally do not have a tool that measures wind speed, but this little guy MOVES AIR! I believe that the 55 MPH listed on the box is probably accurate. Not only is the fan powerful, but the air is extremely focused. Imagine the beam emitted by a flashlight, but instead of light being cast, it is a strong wind. The lanyard looks a bit haphazard, but it works well holding the HushJet at chest level. This is honestly the first device that my wife will actually use outdoors. It can literally blow your hair back if you choose a higher setting. Keep this thing away from your ears, but if you need a strong breeze on a hot day, this fan won't let you down.

First the good: This does a good job cooling you down. It worked best for me on my desk. It has 5 levels and a turbo mode that all cool you down very well. It claims to last up to 6 hours on the lowest setting which is good battery life. However, this thing is LOUD. You really can’t use this unless you are alone due to the volume and anything beyond the lowest setting also comes with a high pitched turbine sound that gets annoying quickly. So don’t plan to use this in an office setting with other people around. It’s nice that it comes with a lanyard to wear around your neck, but it’s a bit odd looking with a dangling single shoe lace for length adjustment. It’s also a bit heavy to wear for very long around your neck. Because it is on a swinging lanyard it wasn’t ideal for mowing the lawn or working outside. It does stays in place and keep you cool on an outdoor walk (not a jog though). Has a base stand to keep it stable on your desk or while charging. Also comes with a carrying case to protect it while traveling or not in use. Overall if you don’t mind the loudness - Yes it’ll keep you cool, but it’s unfortunately a rare Dyson miss for me.

I’ve been using the HushJet Mini Cool for over a week, including several days in hot and humid Florida weather. Overall, it’s a very well-designed portable fan. It’s comfortable to carry, easy to use, and the airflow is surprisingly strong for its size. Where it works best is when you’re already sweating. Using Turbo mode on sweaty skin makes a noticeable difference because the airflow helps the sweat evaporate faster. In very hot and humid conditions, though, don’t expect it to feel like cold air. It’s still blowing the same warm, humid air around you, so the cooling effect becomes much less noticeable. My other complaint is the noise. For something called “HushJet,” Turbo mode definitely isn’t what I would call quiet. At $99, I think you’re paying extra for Dyson’s design, build quality and brand. There are much cheaper portable fans that can provide similar basic functionality. I like the HushJet and would recommend it at the regular $99 price, but I absolutely would not pay a marked-up reseller price for it.

There's been many reviews about the sound being high. I think the noise is appropriate for how powerful the fan is, it does not bother the ears at all, and when you are outside, walking in all that noise, you do not hear it. specially in a concert/festival ambiance, no one will notice it. The cord accessory is excellent, and the shape of the fan fits perfectly in the hand. another surprising feature was the stand that comes with it, so it can be used on a desk as well. my wife loves that. The only questionable feature could be the battery life. but so far, it has not died while outside in use. we have not tested over a 4 hour event.

I’ll admit it: I was pleasantly surprised by the Dyson HushJet Mini Cool. Then I thought about it for a second and realized... why am I surprised? It’s Dyson. They make great stuff. And this little thing is VERY Dyson. First, it actually cools. Not in that “I think I feel a little air if I hold it three inches from my face” way. This thing moves some air. For something this small and portable, I was genuinely impressed by how effective it is. It cools like a champion without becoming the center of attention. And that may be what I like most about it. It’s unobtrusive. Put it on your desk. Take it outside. Carry it around. Use the neck accessory. Toss it in your bag. It goes pretty much anywhere without feeling like you’re hauling around a FAN. Then there’s the design. Dyson has always understood something a lot of companies don't: if you're going to make an everyday object, why not make it feel special? The HushJet looks and feels like a Dyson. Clean. Modern. Thoughtful. A little futuristic without looking ridiculous. Even the Stone/Blush color combination has that understated, premium thing going on. Yes, you can absolutely buy a cheaper portable fan. You can probably find one at the dollar store. You can order some $14 Temu shenanigan that arrives in a box featuring six fonts and instructions translated by a confused robot. This ain't that. It's a Dyson. You're paying for engineering, design and the feeling that somebody actually thought about how you're going to use the thing. The USB-C charging is convenient, the accessories make it legitimately versatile, and the whole package feels cohesive rather than a bunch of plastic pieces thrown into a box. Is it more expensive than a basic portable fan? Of course it is. So is a Dyson vacuum compared with a broom. That's not really the point. The HushJet Mini Cool takes something incredibly ordinary, a little fan designed to blow air at you, and somehow makes using it enjoyable. It works. It looks great. It goes anywhere. And every time I pick it up, there's that little reminder of why Dyson has built the reputation it has. They don't just make things that work. They make things that make you FEEL something while you're using them. You can't put a spec or a price on that. Well... apparently Dyson can. And I'm okay with it. **Highly recommended.**

The Dyson HushJet Mini Cool Fan has a sleek design that delivers an impressive airflow. I like its versatility where it can be used as a desk fan, handheld, or wearable device with and neck lanyard. On high speed, it tends to be too loud. Overall, its great mini fan with premium quality

I have many Dyson products in my home inventory that surpass my expectations., so trying out this Mini Cool fan was definite must for my personal use. Dyson, did not disappoint me, from the quality of the product and accessories that came with it. What I value most is the USB-C charging, eliminating the use of batteries. and the hours of use before having to charge again. The multiple speed options are perfect for any scenarios. Main use was mostly on very hot days outdoors and for indoors, when doing usual household chores or projects in areas with no ventilation. Overall performance scored well above my expectations and Dyson has delivered a wonderful personal product that suits my needs.

I bought this while visiting Virginia Beach and used it numerous times on the beach and visiting the aquarium. It kept up and the airflow is absolutely amazing. People complain about the noise but it is literally a fan they make noise. I love the ability to move the fan flow and the stand it came with is a great added touch.

A life saver in the summer, especially on the NYC subway. Amazing battery life. If you want to run this above level 1 or maybe 2, you might scare everyone around you, but this thing works.

The size and airflow are great. Highest setting is a bit louder than expected. Overall, a great choice for hot summer days.

I have a neck strap fan which has been great for years but unfortunately very noisy. This led me to purchase this Dyson unit. Overall very well built, and I love the fact it can be used three ways (in hand, with stand on table, and hanging from a person's neck). Sound is much less than my original fan, although not completely quiet (it sounds like a weak version of a Dyson hair dryer, with a "jet-like" sound) so don't think it goes completely unnoticed. Also, because this one will hang from your neck, after a while you will begin to feel it, which is why I took off one star.

This is a powerful little fan, but don't let the name fool you; this bad boy is loud when it's running on anything higher than 2. It comes with a velvet carrying sleeve, a neck attachment for hands-free use, and a cradle for desktop use. My one gripe is that, even though you can use it while charging, it won't go above the first speed while doing so.

Works well, holds charge. Lanyard works well when doing yard work.

My wife love this product. It works as any fan should. I don't understand why people hate the noise?. Since is really not that loud, is not the noise of a jet plane or anything.is such a hair going through the fan. And is really light that even my 6 year old son is using it all the time.

Portable and powerful mini fan , a little bit noisy , specially on the highest settings , but overall a practical global warming gadget !

Blows out cool air and is the perfect size. Can be a little loud on the higher settings, but doesn't bother me at all.

Excellent cooling. Good battery life. It does make some noise but not a deal breaker.
