We may have made this purchase for the wrong reason as we were looking for something that would actually cool our living room since we did not have an air conditioning unit but even having the air blow right on you does not do the trick. It was quiet though, sounding something like white noise and the look of course was great but that's about it.

Posted .Hello, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you've found the Dyson TP01 Pure Cool Tower to be disappointing in your use. Dyson Pure Cool features a HEPA filter to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust, mold spores, bacteria and pet dander. The second layer in the filter contains activated carbon to capture household odors and volatile organic compounds like paint fumes. The machine also features a sleep timer, oscillation and 10 air speed settings.
Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.
