It's great!

I think it is over priced for a fan that doesn’t keep your living space cool. Must run your ac while fan is on to actually notice anything.

Posted .Hello, this is Kelly with Dyson. Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air. Posted .Hello Jase, this is Kelly with Dyson. I am sorry to read your review and learn how disappointed you are in your Dyson Pure Cool air purifier and fan. Dyson Pure Cool features a HEPA filter to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust, mold spores, bacteria and pet dander. The second layer in the filter contains activated carbon to capture household odors and volatile organic compounds like paint fumes. The machine also features a sleep timer, oscillation and 10 air speed settings.
Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. If you live somewhere dusty, this is great. Con(s): It is out performed by an 80 dollar tower fan in both airflow and noise. It is significantly out performed by an 8 inch box fan that cost 24.99. With box fan set to medium and the Dyson TP01 set to high (level 10), the box fan projects a significantly better air current. Save your money unless you want to purchase this as a status symbol. I regret that I tossed the box in the trash before realizing how under powered this thing is or I would likely return it.

Purifier Not a Fan

But if you are looking for an air purifier that you can use as a fan that can move some air around and direct it at specific areas - then this is it. The fan speed levels for this fan goes from one lowest to highest ten and in ten mode it is loud and does move air around but not as much as you would expect a regular stand alone electric fan would. Basically if you want to not spend the money for an aesthetically pleasing Dyson and want to save money - then get a separate air purifier and a separate regular electric fan.

Not super cooling and base gets too hot

I also noticed that the very bottom gets extremely hot, so I immediately took it off the carpet, because I don't want it to cause a fire. It looks pretty though.

Before buying I asked an associate if it would blow cold air or just recirculate the air in the room and they assured it would blows cold air so we bought it. Being in a hot room it didn’t do much effect and would just blow the hot air back. Ended up buying an indoor ac unit instead

It is very quiet at level 5. At level 10 it is powerful and sound like a jet engine. The only issue is the very small remote control which is about one inch wide and two inches tall. If you have a dog, then it wouldn’t last long. There’s no battery in the remote control.
