The performance is pretty good. The only knock to me would be the build quality. The plastic feels thin and cheap. This may very become an issue but it’s just an observation.

    A Really Expensive Fan

There's nothing special about this product other than it's look. It's just a really expensive fan with a unique design. A regular fan, in my opinion, delivers just as much wind power.

Hello Amandala, this is Kelly with Dyson. I am sorry to read your review and learn how disappointed you are in your Dyson Pure Cool air purifier and fan. Dyson Pure Cool features a HEPA filter to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust, mold spores, bacteria and pet dander. The second layer in the filter contains activated carbon to capture household odors and volatile organic compounds like paint fumes. The machine also features a sleep timer, oscillation and 10 air speed settings.

Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.

I liked it but it could not keep me cool. Even at night, about 10-15 feet away from the fan, I could not feel the airflow cool me down. Nice product and looks great, but could not get the job done. Not worth the price.

Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. I'm happy to hear that overall, you were pleased with your Dyson Pure Cool Tower. Our air multiplier line, unlike an AC unit that is designed to chill the air, consists of blade-less fans. The air temperature does not change, it is the air flow which cools the user. Each of the machines have the option of increasing the speed of the air expelled from the machine, which is adjusted with the remote control.

We would value the opportunity to ensure that your unit is performing as intended as we are committed to customer satisfaction. Please do not hesitate to contact [email protected]. We are keen on providing support.

      Best wishes,
      Kelly

Great product. The top portion is flimsy and I thought it would impact the effectiveness but it doesn’t. The control options are a great feature and I feel so much better allergy wise.

Was very hesitant at purchasing a Dyson fan. I had a hard time believing it was worth the extra cheddar cheese. Man did Dyson prove me wrong yet again. Had this for awhile now and I have no regrets!

Great Fan! Very quiet and moves a lot of air. Wasn't crazy about the retail price, but found it on sale and decided to make the purchase. I own many Dyson products, as always they are well made and built to last.

Wonderful! My husband spends a lot of time in his man cave. When the Ac is on he’s usually cold and the third level is of course a little warmer. This fan is great. Just the extra little coolness for us both to be comfortable

Seriously love this fan. I had purchased a cheaper tower fan 6 months ago. It started turning on and off itself. I knew when I bought it I should have used that $80 towards a Dyson. You get what you pay for!

It's nice, and pleasing to look at. The fan doesn't have as much power as other fans, and it is very noisy on setting 8-10. I'm happy enough with it though.

I have been using this Dyson upright fan for three years in my living room. It works great with good air filtering. So I bought another one for my bedroom. I love both of them.

Bought more for the aesthetic and ease of cleaning. Have only been using it for a few months but overall satisfied with it. It goes well with the minimalist theme of our house.

Does the job well, but I am a bit disappointed it doesn't have wifi support. I didn't know there is a different model that is "smart" but not this one. But it also costs $150 more so I kept this one anyway.

Had mold and dander issues in the apartment and seems to wake up less congested. Fan is not as noticeable unless on 9 or 10 speed but bought it for its air purifying capabilities.

Nice fan. Not as quiet as I thought it would be but still pretty quiet. I bought it for the Collings but mostly for the purification which I can't gauge after only one month of owning. But I would say its the nicest fan I've ever owned.

best investment that I made this year. I have always wanted this fan after seeing it on QVC I decided to purchase it. I wish I could have gotten it from QVC because it was a $100.00 cheaper nevertheless I am happy with the fan overall.
