Big negative for me about this product is the lack of a washable filter….. the need to purchase a new filter instead of being able to clean one is both uneconomical, inefficient of my time, and an unnecessary negative effect on the environment. If I were reading this review, I’d be thankful to have been advised to look instead for one with a washable filter, as in the real world, that does amount to being a big deal

Posted .Hello James, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're glad to hear that initially, the TP01 Pure Cool purifying tower fan worked so well for you. The EVO filter contained in the TP01 collects and traps allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns. With regard to the unit's filter, it's not washable or reusable as that would damage the integrity of the filter and how it works to remove allergens and harmful particles from the air. We recommend replacing your air purifier filter every 12 months. This is because over time, filters can get clogged with pollutants, and even let unpleasant odors back into the room. Your purifying fan will alert you when it's time to change the filter.

While the look is DEFINITELY enhanced, the circulation not so much. Unless you have it very close to you, you wont feel a thing. Also it is very loud if you want to actually feel a breeze on the higher settings. I'm keeping only because there was a promotion for $100 off when I purchased, got lucky. Hope this helps

I loved that it’s quiet and the noise didn’t compete with the volume on the TV however you can barely feel the air coming out of the fan even on the highest setting. I bought them for two different rooms just to help keep temps cool in the hot Texas weather. I decided to return the fans as I wasn’t completely satisfied.

Dyson Pure Cool features a HEPA filter to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust, mold spores, bacteria and pet dander. The second layer in the filter contains activated carbon to capture household odors and volatile organic compounds like paint fumes. The machine also features a sleep timer, oscillation and 10 air speed settings.

I was taught that Dyson are very quiet. However, I got a different result on my testing. Mine was very loud and bothersome at night. I’d rather save my money to get the bigger models to get a better air purifier than this model.
