The sound the motor emits on lower fan speeds (5 and under) has a slightly annoying higher frequency pitch that varies. I purchased it to use in my bedroom for white noise while sleeping, but had to relegate it to another room in my house since it was too annoying to have on while sleeping. I appreciate that it has more fan speeds than air purifiers from other companies, but that's about it.

Dyson Pure Cool features a HEPA filter to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust, mold spores, bacteria and pet dander. The second layer in the filter contains activated carbon to capture household odors and volatile organic compounds like paint fumes. The machine also features a sleep timer, oscillation and 10 air speed settings. It wouldn't be normal for there to be any high-pitched type noise coming from your machine while in use, even on the higher airflow speeds. Great/ "cool" product

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I mean the remote could be better the distance of the remote like you have to have it right on the machine and pointing it and if you don’t it won’t work so I feel it defeats the purpose of even having the remote I also wish the air that came out if it was a lot colder because my girlfriend is pregnant and she’s due in July so she’s hot all the time but for People who might just want a nice fan and who Dosent live in very hot summers and humid it’s probably very good

Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air. Great fan if someone has kids

I assume it is, but I just can’t tell a difference. But I like it as a fan. I am disappointed that after a couple weeks it isn’t silent anymore while rotating. Now it creaks a bit. It would only be a problem if I was trying to sleep but this one stays in the living room so I don’t really care.

I needed a fan to put by my bed at night to help me with hot flashes and keep cool. So I splurged on this one even though very expensive for a fan. The power even at the highest setting is not very strong. My cheap oscillating fan is stronger. It is visually pleasing so I will give it points for that but my Vornado is 5x better. Would not recommend for someone that needs to get cooler...Not worth it for the fan

Nice design but that's pretty much it

The plastic seems a bit cheap though and well, for the price, I was hoping it would blow more air than it does. I have to get it to around level 6 or 7 to really make it effective. Nice design though. Having a remote is nice. Not sure if mine is defective though. I have to press super hard on the buttons to make it work.
