Fantastic air purifier. We are a family of 5 and someone is always sick, has allergies, or making a meal that stinks up the house. This was definitely an investment but I was willing to pay for a Dyson for Dyson results. The app is flawless and offered all the functionality you could possibly need, the sensors are very good at identifying airborne impurities, and it’s whisper quiet. Even on its highest settings it blends into the background. If you have an open concept home and you need to move a lot of air, don’t look any further. Our air quality is noticeably better and so are the families allergies. I’m looking to pick up another one for our bedroom in the near future. Absolutely love this thing.

Totally worth it considering how expensive it is. I clears out indoor odor is what i was after and it performs flawlessly.

I have severe allergies and this has helped somewhat. It’s a really good product. Very easy to put together. I love the app and the real time readout of the air quality. This is a great buy, especially if you get it on sale!

For the price, this really feels like a $500-$700 purifier not an almost $1100 one. I didnt really like the whole plastic body parts it had it just made it feel super cheap. Over the first few days I think the filter was "breaking in" and it had this weird spice smell coming out of it. Overall its been doing a good job, I tested this out by leaving the air purifier in one room at max speed, closing it and coming back at the end of the day. If you go to another one and go back to the air purified one you can tell automatically the difference. This is the closest I can describe it to, the air after it rains for a while. Overall its a great purifier but for the price I was expecting a ton more at least a cooling option.

Incredible product, supper recommended. I can control it from phone and will clean any smells even smoke in the room.

Amazing air purifier helps prevent asthma attacks for people with severe asthma and chemical sensitivity. Has a five year filter also. The customer service agents in the store were very kind and helpful at Best Buy of Woodland Park NJ.

Perfect Dyson air purifier! Very true to its description and specification. Easy to use and maintain. Most of all I feel better to cook now without worrying about how the kitchen or house would smell after cooking. I strongly recommend it!

This loses a star because of the price, although I still would recommend it. This air purifier is doing what it’s supposed to do. I love the stats in the app. Not going to say who, but someone in my home released some flatulence near the device and the stats in the app went off the charts. That was good for a laugh. In all seriousness, I love this thing!

We got this air purifier because of a member of the house has pulmonary fibrosis. Literally any kind of any size particle cause him several coughing exacerbations. With this machine now the house environment is cleaner and lighter for his lungs. Also her pulmonologist recommended us to buy this product eating that could be one of the best things we could do.

This air purifier has made a difference in our home after finally deciding to do something about the air inside looking like something was burnt. I can see the difference it’s made in our main floor of our home after buying this Dyson air purifier. It’s been a few weeks since we had it but it works.

My roommate is a chain smoker. I swear, this machine keeps up with her smoking. It cleans the air when she's at work and through the night. Making my days and nights breathable.

Amazing ! You don’t even hear if it’s on or not . It’s notify you if levels are high right thru the app .

Disappointed given SOOO expensive. Filter works great, but three of the 5 wheels on this unit BROKE OFF just over a year after purchasing. No response from Dyson when emailed months ago. We just move it a few feet back & forth on wood floor between 2 rooms - no kids/ dogs, no trauma (other than whatever happened before shipped / arrived). Plus, have to replace expensive filters relatively frequently if you keep it running full time.

This Dyson air cleaner, as its name clearly states, is both Big and Quiet. Like its smaller siblings, this one works well but is designed for spaces where the smaller models would struggle. It is quite imposing on the floor but fills even the largest of spaces with purified air. Even at the highest fan speed, it’s still quiet enough to enjoy a movie or quiet conversation in the same room. The built-in display provides useful information and the wifi connectivity and app integration provides convenient control and detailed historical data. Pros: * Exceedingly quiet even at the fastest fan speed. * Automatic mode is suitable for nearly all situations. * Works well for larger spaces like a great room or a home with an open floor plan. * Hidden wheels allow for easy relocation or aiming. * Convenient remote control that stores on the unit. * Useful app integration for control and data. * Long-life filters with easy replacement. Cons: * Large. * Requires floor space (not for mounting on a table). * Not inexpensive. Like most other Dyson air cleaners, this one works very well at keeping the air in your interior spaces clean and free from harmful pollutants. True to its name, this one’s main benefits are being both big and quiet. It is intended to be used in larger interior spaces like an open floorpan home or a large home with huge rooms. There are hidden wheels to allow you to move it around or spin it easily, and the Dyson app provides full connectivity and data from anywhere. While it looks like the top portion might swivel or rotate, it does not. Instead, the vertical angle of the air stream can be adjusted via the app to either project out closer to the middle of the room, or up toward the ceiling to reach further. Setup was easy as usual for Dyson. It essentially came as two parts plus the remote control. The “dome” portion just snaps onto the top of the main unit, then plug it in and connect it the app. The filters were pre-installed and everything started up smoothly. The app makes it easy to change settings, register it for the warranty and start getting air quality and filter status data. Once you find a good location for it, it will basically continue to run unattended; silently cleaning the air, until the filters need replacement after about 2 years of normal use. The main settings are the fan speed and the air output angle. I have mine set for automatic fan speed and the air tilt set to randomly change angles to create a breeze effect. It is placed in the corner of a great room that includes 3 open concept smaller rooms and it easily reaches everywhere. Overall, the main reason to select this Dyson air cleaner instead of its smaller sibling models is its ability to sustain clean air in large spaces without the need for loud fans and exceedingly strong air movement. Provided your needs allow for its size and price, this unit will exceed at keeping your air as clean as possible for years to come.

I bought this after seeing Dyson’s ads showing it clearing an entire smoke-filled room in minutes. Living in Seattle with wildfire season and neighbors who like to smoke “medicinal plants,” I thought this would be the perfect solution. Plus, their big selling point — best-in-class formaldehyde removal — sounded great since most modern furniture off-gasses. Unfortunately, it hasn’t delivered at all. For smoke: the filter makes no noticeable difference. During wildfire days and neighbor smoke, we could clearly smell it even with the Dyson running on max. After an hour of “purification,” the room still smelled exactly the same. Cooking odors also pass right through without improvement. For formaldehyde: we tested this with our kids’ new beds. We unboxed them in separate rooms, one with the Dyson running constantly and one with no filter at all. After two weeks, the air quality was indistinguishable — the Dyson made no measurable or noticeable difference in VOC/formaldehyde removal. The very feature they charge a premium for simply doesn’t work in practice. Air quality monitoring is also unreliable. It will randomly spike in the middle of the night saying the air quality is “very poor” when nothing has changed, but when the neighbors light up and the smell fills the room, it still shows the air as “good.” It’s hard to trust the readings when they don’t align with real-world conditions. Finally, the build quality feels cheap — thin plastic that’s more like what you’d expect from a $300 purifier, not a $1,000 one. Dyson makes great hair dryers and air straighteners, but this purifier feels like a marketing exercise. For the price, you expect real performance — but in my experience, it doesn’t remove smoke, doesn’t reduce formaldehyde, and doesn’t even give reliable readings. Instead of spending $1000 on this filter, just buy 3-4 reliable filters and put them around your house.
