    Dyson - Purifier Hot+Cool HP1

As a huge fan of Dyson products, I was really excited to start using the new HP1 air purifier. As the product name suggests, this isn't your standard air purifier, it is much more!. The HP1 acts as a 3 in one device, eliminating the needs for multiple devices to control the comfort of your room. The HP1 is an oscillating fan, space heater, and air purifier. This thing is like the ultimate device! I love the overall look of the HP1. It has a really nice silver and white color scheme (though Dyson has other options). Mine fits awesome with the decor of my house. The modern/industrial design is one I am a huge fan of. The included remote control has a very simple and easy to use layout. It's easy to switch from hot/cool operation, increase or decrease fan speed, and get insights from the LED display as to the current operating mode, air quality or room temperature. There is also a night mode which allows the LED display to turn off while maintaining operation so the room remains dark. Setting up the HP1 with the MyDyson mobile app was also simple. The mobile application offers similar insights into the rooms metrics, such as air quality, hot/cool operation, fan speed, room temperature, filter life, etc. I found the fan options under the cool setting to be great. At lower speeds, the HP1 was very quiet and minimal air was presented. At higher speeds, the noise level ramps up, but is still fairly quiet compared to traditional fans, and the air flow was great. Though it is summer while I am reviewing this, the AC in the house when set to cold temperatures allowed the heating setting of the HP1 to easily overcome the cool air and resulted in quickly heating up the room. This feature will be great in winter time. I have 2 dogs, and minimal allergies towards them. Having the air purifier in rooms i frequently live in helps a ton to regulate good air temperature and allows me comfort while still enjoying the company of my dogs in a more allergy free environment. Overall, I'm loving the HP1 multi-functionality and can see myself adding more of these to my home over time. These pair nicely with my other Dyson products and it looks fantastic in my home!

    Best fan I've ever owned

This Dyson 3 in one fan is expensive, let's get that out of the way. And at this price point, it better do some amazing things. And the short of it, it is the best home fan I've ever owned. It doesn't do anything out of the ordinary or new, but what features it does have, it does it very very well. The heating, cooling and air purifier is awesome. Unboxing the fan, I gotta say it is a weird size. Not big enough to stand alone, but imo, too big to put on a table or countertop. You just have to find the best placement in your home that works with this fan. I have a medium size living room and it literally took me 20 minutes moving it around to find a spot that didn't look awkward and was functional. Set up was super easy, scan the qr code on the pamphlet inside the box and download the app. Took 3 minutes. The unit comes with a remote that is very easy to operate and sit on top off the fan using magnets. Love this feature, won't be worrying about losing another remote and this one is small so I can see myself losing it somewhere. Through the app and remote you can control how much this fan oscillate. 30, 45, 90, 180 or even 350 degrees. Super helpful. And the fan can even tilt up or down. So many ways to use this fan! The dyson changes from cooling to heating in seconds. I don't know how they do it, but I was so impressed. The unit is also very quiet as opposed to the traditional fans I own. I haven't owned it long enough to know how effective the air purifier works, but based on all the other features and how well it works, I'm confident that the air purfier is doing it's thing. The Dyson HP1 is expensive, it doesn't do anything out of the ordinary or unique, but what it does do, it does very well.

The Dyson Purifier Hot + Cool HP1 does it all

The Dyson - Purifier Hot+Cool HP1 might possibly be the last fan you will ever need (at least for me). It looks stylish and modern and I always get compliments when people visit my house. The Dyson - Purifier Hot+Coo| HP1 can easily fill up a room with clean air (up to 73 square feet) providing y comfort. The unit itself is about 30 inches tall and weighs a little over 11 pounds. A handy curved remote is that is actually magnetized so you can attach it to the top of the fan, which I thought was a nice and elegan that Dyson provided. Although you can also access the fan through the Dyson app which is also convenient always have my phone on me. Not only is it a quiet smooth operating fan but it is also an air purifier which is HEPA H13 grade which can c to 97% of odors. The unit itself has a digital screen that displays air quality as well. Switching out filters is s simple, just press down on some tabs and pop out the old ones and replace them. This fan also rotates up degrees and can also tilt back and forth. Another feature with this model is the heat and it gets quite toasty as I tested it out! It's currently summer ri so l won't be needing this feature anytime soon but I already have plans to use it for my garage gym come t this will be perfect. So if you’re looking for a fan that can do it all this is it!

does the job very well, a little pricey. The heating role is very good, my office is small but it heats the room very well. The unit is very clean and really looks good in the room. The unit is very low sound, you can talk on the phone with no problem.

Does a decent job moving air around, though at high at a high decibel from fan setting 5 and up. It’s of course way too expensive for what it does but I always wanted a Dyson and it’s more attractive than other options I was considering.

I had an older one and figured it’s been a while let me try this new model out. This has a carbon filter and is a fully sealed system which keeps everything inside the system. It also works as a fan which is great as well. Also helps with heating up the place when it’s cold and you don’t necessarily want to turn on the heat. You can also connect it to WiFi to see all the data on your phone as well. Tells you stuff like the temperature, what pollutants is being filtered and so forth. You can also see the percentage of what’s left of the filter so you can change it. You can also control it through the app as well which it nice. Though it also comes with a remote which is nice to have as well so you don’t need to use your phone only. It also takes like around 97% of orders as well and neutralizes them as well which is nice if you smoke or have pets or cook a lot of food. The thing spins 350° which is basically a full circle which means it can cover basically the whole room as well which is good for small rooms

I've been looking for a replacement for an aging space heater and found the Dyson Purifier. I was intrigued by it's ability to cool as well as heat and by the HEPA filtration. We live in an area that gets COLD in the winter and need a capable, rotating heater. Since everything stays closed up in the winter months the air can get kind of stale so adding some filtration was a plus for me. The added bonus is having filtration and cooling in the summer during forest fire season! Even with all of our windows closed the smoke still seeps in and can be a little tough on your breathing, so, filtration sounds like the answer to that issue as well! The unit is thoughtfully built, solid and heavy in its construction, and sports a variety of functions and methods for controlling its operation. It is packed very securely in what appears to be recycled materials and is easy to set up. There is an abundance of tape and protective plastic surrounding the device so make certain that you get it all located and removed. The in-box "Getting Started" instructions are spartan at best! Everything you need is in the box and I had it up and running in about 20 minutes! The only controls on the unit are a small color display and a power button. Initial pairing is done with Bluetooth but then switches to your WiFi after that. A remote control is included and mirrors most of what you can do with the app. You can also use the voice assistant of choice to control the device but I chose to pass on that. The magic is in the app. I was extremely pleased with the smooth downloading, installation, and overall fit-and-finish of the app. It is comprehensive and easy to use. It also provides full featured reporting of air quality parameters in real-time which I found to be fascinating! The unit can rotate over 300 degrees and can tilt back about 10 degrees so placement is very flexible. It moves an impressive amount of air and the internal heating is provided via ceramic plates so it is almost instantaneous. When Dyson says it provides cooling they are referring to the fact that you can run it as a fan-only with the heat turned off. There is NO active cooling capability. The Purifier is a solid product with good performance and advanced air quality monitoring. The airflow is impressive and the "bladeless" delivery system that Dyson is famous for is a novelty. There are a number of thoughtful features including a "night mode" which dims the display and limits the noise level, a timer and a magnetic attachment point for storing the remote. A few issues to be aware of is that the unit is pretty large and a tad heavy. It also has a premium price and replacement HEPA filters are a bit costly too. Also, the fan noise is a bit excessive when running full-out. Overall the Dyson Purifier is a premium product with an impressive feature set and a quality feel. It absolutely should make your short list!

I got this Dyson Purifier a few weeks ago. Seemed like it would be an upgrade from our prior floor standing fan. It sure is! No exposed rotating fan blades like traditional per the Dyson magic ultrasonic air mover systems. Decent design too. Pretty much plug and play right out of the box. Setup first with the included little remote (which nicely magnetically attaches to the top of the unit when not is use to help prevent using it). Remote is IR, so you do need to aim it pretty much at the little display on the front of the air purifier. Easy to set temps or manually adjust speed, oscillation, and go from cool or warm air. App setup was easy as well, but note you can’t activate the heat from the app (maybe a safety thing so they force you to use the little white IR remote). Cranking the “fan” speed up to the max of 10 blows the air pretty well. I look forward to also using this in the winter time since I’ve only tested the heat to check it out. But I’d expect it works as well as the cool air during the summer at the moment. No complaints at all. Recommended if you are in the market for a nice multi-functional “fan”. I hope it lasts for many years!

I’ve got a couple of other air purifiers that I bought during a renovation to help keep the dusty air a little cleaner. After the renovation, they help with the cat hair, pollen and other allergens. Compared to these not cheap, but just air filters, the Dyson wins hands down. First, the fan; I love me some air movement to keep cool and just stir things up in a couple spaces in the house that don’t have great airflow. I do also use small fans as white noise machines- the Dyson is so quiet that it’s almost not useful for this. Second, the heated fan; granted, since it’s the middle of summer, my testing of this function was minimal, but I can already envision its usefulness on chilly days when I’m trying to keep from turning up the HVAC thermostat another degree or two. Third, unlike my other air purifiers, the charcoal filter actually makes some difference when it comes to reducing odors. Why 4 vs 5 stars? 1) it’s just plain pricey (& so are the replacement filters) 2) I’m not using the Bluetooth connectedness and am not, generally, an IOT fan- I’d actually prefer the option to turn of the BT entirely

While I admittedly am a fan of Dyson and their products in general, I am still able to provide fair and balanced feedback when necessary, and unfortunately this Dyson - Purifier Hot+Cool HP1 falls just short of perfect. This is the second one of these I have acquired. The first one I purchased 5+ years ago (same model minus the HP1) and it is still going strong and I am still regularly replacing the filters. It turns on and off as expected when the room reaches the appropriate temperature and/or when the air has been purified. This new HP1 model seems to be hit or miss when it comes to turning off the heating element after the room reaches the appropriate temperature. I will set it to 70 degrees and even when the inside temperature is 71 or 72, the heat is still blowing out of the unit. This seems to happen about 50% of the time. The rest of the time it works as expected. The air purifying part works exactly as expected and, if possible, I would have given this five stars but obviously cannot. I would still recommend as it heats a very large area and can cool a large area as well. Ideal for when other small units don't have enough power to get the job done.

If Only It Wasn't a Whiner

I am generally a fan of Dyson products. I have vacuums, other air purifiers in their line, and even some styling products from them so I feel pretty confident in the name. Let me just say I really want to like the Purifier Hot+Cool HP1, but am struggling. It isn't one of the biggest units in their lineup and I placed it my bedroom as a temporary replacement for a large Blueair unit I have. It comes with a remote and has an app too. It can heat and 'cool' a room, as well as, air purification through a HEPA filter. I have cooling in quotes because it does not actively cool through any kind of air condition or refrigeration process. The act of moving the room temp air feels cooler. It checks the right boxes so what's the problem? Well, the noise... and I don't mean fan noise. Air swooshing through the unit would be fine (and expected). No, after you get it to about 1/3rd fan speed you can hear something in the fan making a high pitch whining sound. I had a previous unit a couple years back that did this and I had really hoped this would have been sorted out as many people have complained about it, but alas, this unit whines. It isn't super loud, but once you hear it you can't unhear it. It doesn't bother my spouse, but drives me up the wall. So, it might be a non-issue for you and you would have an otherwise great fan/purifier for a medium size room. For me, I pulled the unit out of my bedroom and placed it in my family room for now. The ambient noise in the room masks my issues with it and it helps to clean up the air, as well as, keep the air moving. It is a nice fan and wish it could replace my Blueair unit, but this attempt did not meet muster. If I can't sleep with it then it needs to go elsewhere. Your mileage may vary and you may get a unit that doesn't even exhibit the issue, but mine did.
