Fills in the gap that was missing from others

Straight to the point, with all of the other purifiers I own/ have owned, there was always a feature that was missing. I eventually found it in another purifier that needed monthly cartridges, which I wasn't willing to continue. That feature was the handling of odors. I cook a lot, and and use lots of strong herbs and spices. If you cook, you know that without proper ventilation and expelling of scents, smells can linger for days and weeks and even filter into your clothes. This Dyson takes care of that. Running it while cooking I hear a kick up, and start working, within a few hours, the majority of the sense I'm trying to limit are dissipated. That advertise feature I can attest absolutely works. When not using in the kitchen, I shifted over to the bedroom. In my bedroom. I had an air purifier and a humidifier to keep the atmosphere where I wanted it to take care of my voice as well as keep the air clean. Having a two-in-1 like this Dyson help save some space and and keep my atmosphere to my liking without having to monitor two different devices. So far so good. The humidity level has stayed where I wanted it, and my air quality, according to two different monitors, has stayed clean and clear. All the other air quality contaminants that it removes, I just have to take its word for it as I have no justifiable way of finding that except the monitoring inside of the app. Being that it has accommodated my goals thus far, I have no reason to doubt that it's doing that. Speaking of which, the app is very intuitive and connects quickly. It functioned as a remote extension and it does everything. The manual remote would just as fast. I can handle everything that I need to from the app, and appreciate that they implemented voice activation integrate it into my Google infrastructure. Another plus is the fan. It the last purifier that this replaced had a fan built in and I can say that this fan is just as good if not better and the oscillation is something to behold for sure. It definitely cools the me down, and it's great through the night. I don't even have to go past level 6 or 7 to get what I need without my wife feeling chilly. The filters that come with this Dyson are very reasonable. I was worried that the filters of such a device would be overly priced. But no, they're just the same as my other purifiers which is a major relief. The only negative I have with this Dyson is that there are no controls on the device except for power and deep cleaning the internal filter. They compensate for this by having the remote magnetically attached to the top for easy access. But personally, I would prefer device controls in case my kids remove the remote and I don't have access to my phone, I would love to just press a button to have it do what I need it to do. That doesn't deter me from recommending this purifier, nor does it warrant me taking down the rating. Just an aesthetic thing that I would prefer. All that being said, I'm happy to use it and I've been putting it to work since day one with great results.

Dyson has been a household name for us for over 15 years, literally. Throughout that time, we've had several upright vacuums, stick vacuums, hair dryers, hair curlers, fans, and even their most recent headphones! Everything has been up to par for us. We've never had to deal with issues with any of our products. Have we been lucky? Maybe. But I can't tell you how much of a tech fan I am, and how many devices I've had throughout the years that have failed to live up to their name or hype. Dyson has always been consistent for us. So, when we came across this air purifier that not only cleaned the air but also had a built-in fan and a humidifier, it was a no-brainer to order it. Why have three devices in your space when you only need one! Yes, $1,000 is a significant amount to spend on an air purifier. However, when you consider that it also functions as a fan and humidifier, and that it should theoretically last as long as my still-functional 15-year-old vacuum, the price becomes more justifiable. Additionally, how many times have you purchased a TV for around $1,000 in the last 15 years? Personally, I've bought at least three. This humidifier can run every single day, meaning you'll get far more usage out of this device than you would from your TV. Living in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, an area renowned for its lush vegetation and stunning landscapes, comes with the challenge of wildfires during the hot summer months. Each summer varies in intensity, but over the past several years, we've experienced a noticeable uptick in wildfire activity, resulting in poor air quality and harmful smoke. To combat these challenges, we've invested in a range of air purifiers that have proven effective in filtering out damaging particles and improving indoor air quality during the height of wildfire season. Adding to their role in enhancing air quality during wildfires, we also find air purifiers invaluable in our kitchen. Cooking, especially with gas stoves, can release various pollutants into the air, from smoke to volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Fortunately, modern air purifiers are equipped with tech that allows them to detect changes in air quality, automatically activating to combat any airborne contaminants. This ensures that our place remains healthy and comfortable, making air purifiers an essential part of our home, not just during wildfire season, but year-round. During the cool nights, we keep our windows open most of the time to foster better air circulation, but this also means we inadvertently invite allergens, dust, and, during the notorious wildfire season, smoke and ash into our home. With that in mind, I'm genuinely excited about having this device to help maintain indoor air quality when our windows are shut. I'm especially pleased that it effectively manages the buildup of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) emitted from our gas stovetop, ensuring a healthier environment. I've set it to automatic mode, and to my delight, it operates whisper-quiet, making it almost unnoticeable as it goes about its work. Although I have it in the office at the moment, due to the amount of time I spend there, I often have the window slightly open for airflow. It has sensed the air quality a few times and activated without hesitation. The fan is surprisingly powerful when needed. As a sensitive sleeper who tends to wake up from the slightest noises, I've found that the sound of the fan doesn't bother me at all. It's quiet enough even on the high settings, which is fantastic since I also tend to sleep hot. Having a fan is essential for me to get a good night's sleep. The best part of the fan is that it has no blades, so there is no worry about dust collecting on the fins, which is always a problem with big box fans. The humidification feature is another appealing aspect. I look forward to that future in the winter months, when it can get scorched along with the cold. We have filled the bottom tank, just in case it needs it, and I'm surprised by how easily the tank can be removed and refilled. We've had some devices in the past that make it cumbersome to change the water. The accompanying app is excellent, too. I can't tell you how many times the app is an afterthought on most of these types of devices, but not with Dyson. It offers valuable insights and data once it's up and running, enhancing the overall user experience. We already had the app installed for the headphones, so adding this was extremely easy. It automatically recognized it when I tapped "add device." I'm happy to have a device that I can trust to work in the background, with no hands-on if I want it that way. That's what this is. It can be placed where you need it and forgotten about (except for the maintenance of the water tank). There's nothing better than that. And Dyson has offered yet another quality device for us to hopefully use for the next 15 years.

    Best In Class

As Dyson vacuum user for 20 years, I had high expectations for this this new Purifier Humidify+Cool PH2 De-NOx (PH2). Like many, I was attracted to Dyson vacuums for their cool look but sold on them for their practical design and effectiveness. I’ve tried other brands, and I don’t think there is a comparison. So, my disposition here before opening the PH2’s box was it’s going to be great. And it is, but not for the reasons I assumed. Its workings are not on the ingenious level as Dyson vacuums, but still excellent. What makes the PH2 a complete winner is it has so many capabilities done well it literally has no competition. It’s best in class because it is the class. THE PH2 UNIT Like all Dyson’s products, the PH2 is fun to look at and that is its visible positive differentiator to would be competitors. Where other humidifiers, even when prettied up, still stand awkwardly in a living area, the PH2 resembles natural décor that works in all but formal rooms. That said, it’s best to admire from afar because it’s all plastic, something that fooled me when viewing it online. I hoped the bottom grilles might be aluminum, but no. Ultimately, I suppose it doesn’t matter, because a device like the PH2 is not something you touch often, and it performs well. It's quite portable too. Even though it’s hefty its weight distribution and shape make it easy to move from room to room, as needed. The PH2 is designed to be controlled remotely, so it has just two onboard buttons: Power & Deep Clean (of the humidifier). Two remotes are included, an app based one and a physical one. I’ll detail the app in the next section. The physical remote is a disappointment to me. It looks great, but it uses old-school IR technology that demands the user to aim directly at the PH2. This makes it especially uncomfortable if you place the PH2 behind, or to the side, of a room’s main seating area. The PH2 has wireless connectivity to connect to the app. It should have the same for the physical remote. Another downer, the PH2 has no integrated remote holder. While not essential, a “home” on the PH2 would be a convenient way to keep up with the remote, especially for those who won’t use it much. Below the fan outlets, a 1.5” round LCD display informs users of current mode and air quality. While 1.5” may seem small I find it “Goldilocks”; big enough to read without being distracting. I love devices but I don’t want my family room to resemble NASA Mission Control. There is also a “night mode” that turns off the control panel. The rest of the PH2 is all business – filter covers, water tank, fan outlets. Dyson being Dyson made replacing filters simple. The covers detach easily. The humidifier’s water tank even has instructions printed on it negating the need run to the online manual if you forget a step. The only other required maintenance is occasional descaling, something every humidifier requires. Dyson thoughtfully includes descaler solution to get you started. Overall, it’s a no (or maybe a tiny) -fuss, friendly user-friendly design. One note of concern, though it may be my 30-year-old floors. I found the PH2 was easy to rock back and forth, creating a potential tipping hazard for small kids or big dogs. So, something to look out for when placing your PH2 if you do have either. SETUP & APP Set up is like other purifiers and humidifiers I’ve owned. From opening the box to finished took about 20 minutes. Since the filters are preinstalled once it’s in your preferred location it’s just a matter of adding water to the tank, powering on, and downloading and pairing the app. Water is only required for humidification. The filters, like in your home’s HVAC system, will eventually require replacement. There is no set time like an HVAC, it’s based on several environmental factors. The PH2 will let you know when it’s time for new filters. So be sure to budget for that expense. The app is available for Android and iOS. I used the iOS version. A QR code in the box directs your iPhone to the app on Apple’s app store. Once installed you’ll need to log in to existing Dyson account or set up a new one. However, if you don’t want to register, the app is not required to operate or setup the PH2. The PH2 automatically pairs to your phone when you place it next to the PH2’s display panel with the app in pairing mode. Once completed, the app and phone, at least in theory, can communicate with each other. But in my use of the app I’ve noticed the PH2 occasionally drops its signal. The PH2 can also be slow to react to a command from the app, taking 5-10 seconds to respond. It could be my router but have over 60 Wi-Fi and smart devices in all areas of my home and the only time some of my devices get wonky is after the power comes back after an outage. The app’s contents are a combination of the PH’s display panel, basic operational functions included physical remote, plus the ability to schedule functions by day and time and use voice control (Alexa, Google Home, and Siri Shortcuts). I tried Siri Shortcuts by linking “Hey Siri, High Speed” to fan speed 10. Instead, it turned the fan off. That’s Siri Shortcuts for you. I wish the PH2 was true HomeKit, which I have good results within my home. Setting up a schedule in the app is a useful feature, especially for automatically turning on night mode at a specific time every night to turn off the display and fan, if it’s on. But there is a caveat here, unfortunately. As mentioned, I found the PH2’s Wi-Fi a bit inconsistent and with that, the PH2 didn’t always wake from night mode as expected and I had to do it manually. A major app feature is its graph of a home’s pollutants over the past months, not just in real time. The app is also useful for general control and notifications, like when it’s time to refill the water tank or filters. Broadly, I’m against the trend of every device having an app but I think this app is worth the download and registration because it does add information, convenience and access to useful features. Similarly, I loathe device apps that hard sell accessories and replacement media. This app does have a shopping component but it’s not “in your face,” and I think will make ordering filters easy when the time comes. COOLING The PH2 is unique because of is it’s 3-in-1 functionality and its ability to filter out more kinds of pollutants. This fusion of features is why you buy the PH2 over something else. It’s cooling feature was the big draw to me because I have rooms in my house that my HVAC ignores. I’ll use the cooling feature in summer as much as I’ll use the humidifier in winter. I love having both features and more in a single unit. It cools amazingly well for not being an actual air conditioner. The air that comes out feels cooler than the room temperature which I find amazing. It can’t cool down a room like AC, but it does give an appreciable cooling effect to people (and pets). Air can be directed at a specific angle or distributed across the room. Fans are noisy, and this one is no exception at the top speeds. I recorded 58db at 10ft away at its highest setting but just 39db at mid-level. In my use, except for levels 9 and 10, the sound melted into background “white noise” after a while. And certainly, I’d rather have the fan with a little noise than melt in dead silence. Performance aside, what makes this cooling feature so unique is that it’s blowing out clean air, unlike a traditional room fan. So, while you could buy a separate fan in addition to a purifier/humidifier it’s not the same effect as what the PH2 offers. PURIFICATION This is where the “De-NOx” part of the PH2 factors in. Its fancy speak for it will remove types of air pollution that other brand purifiers ignore. Dyson’s technical explanation on this is going to be more lucid what I could offer, but from a practical perspective, my family room and kitchen (different rooms technically, but open floor plan) smells fresher and we breath easier than with my previous air purifier, which was no slouch. The PH2 kicks in automatically as soon as it detects something noxious in the air. After only a few days it’s too soon to make an ultimate judgment but I like where it’s going. I have confidence that the PH2’s purification prowess is equally as remarkable as it’s outward design. One hiccup with purification is if you have the cooling fan set to a specific speed you can’t use auto purify mode. And in auto purify mode the cooling fan is set to what feels like level 2 or 3. So there is a bit of a juggle between these two functions. HUMIDIFICATION This is a tough one for me to evaluate because I got the PH2 in summer when my house is in the 50-60% humidly range. I really need a de-humidifier now. But while I can’t know yet how effective it will be come winter, based on what I’ve seen out of the cooling and purifying functions, I’m more than confident it will better the performance and ease of use of my last humidifier. Speaking of ease of use, the PH2’s water tank has a lid and handle that makes it easy to refill and reinsert into the PH2 without spilling water. Having owned a few humidifiers, this is no small thing. My last humidifier had an open tank that was also difficult to get to. BOTTOMLINE The PH2, while not perfect, does more, and looks better, than any other humidifier/purifier I’ve come across. In my experience it’s purification and cooling features are top notch and while I can’t fully test its humidification until dryer months come, I have no doubts it’s going to be just as great as its cooling and purifying functions.

I've been a Dyson user for about a decade, consistently impressed by their vacuums, fans, and even my desk lamp. When it comes to premium home appliances, Dyson truly sets the industry standard, and this purifier/humidifier is no exception. The Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool PH2 De-NOx is an absolute top-tier device. Living in the dusty Western US, a good air purifier is essential. We currently use a Dyson fan for purification in our living room alongside a HEPA filter for our HVAC system. I'm eager to replace our current Dyson fan with this new humidity and cooling purifier, moving the old fan to another room, as it continues to work perfectly, operating 24/7. I can’t overstate how nice this product is. The first thing that struck me was its solid construction. Dyson has a long history of making excellent fans, and this model feels like their best yet. Upon unboxing, I noticed it has multiple layers of filters, a departure from the single round filter found in most older Dyson fans. These high-quality filters are capable of removing dusty, noxious air and all sorts of pollutants in your home’s air. It also features a clear display showing current air quality, represented numerically, with yellow to red indicating progressively worse air quality. At any given time, it will ramp up the fan speed, and the number/color on the display shows you how poor the air it’s treating really is. We live on a pretty busy street, so when I open my front door, the fan quickly recognizes the air is likely polluted, due to the cars on the road in front of us. I've had it running quietly 24/7. It's almost imperceptible unless the air quality deteriorates, and even then, it remains remarkably quiet. One impressive feature is its rapid detection of poor air quality and quick response to filter out odors. This is particularly useful in a home with a garage, a gas cooktop, natural gas appliances, and a lot of dust and smog. So far, my experience has been outstanding, and the unit is already exceeding my expectations. A particularly ingenious design innovation is that the unit itself remains stationary, unlike older models that physically oscillate. Instead, the fan blades move back and forth within the oval assembly via a vertical slit, which is quite innovative to watch in operation. It quickly increases fan speed to address potential airborne irritants. The integrated humidifier is also a very welcome addition, as we use a separate humidifier in the winter. This all-in-one is perfect for my needs. The performance, with or without the humidifier running, is exceptional. Aesthetically, it's classy and blends well with any room decor. My only criticism is the high cost, but that's typical for Dyson products. In my opinion, the prices are justified, given the quality and features Dyson engineers into its products. If you are looking for an all-in-one filter, fan, and humidifier, this is an excellent choice. Furthermore, the Dyson app is fantastic, providing detailed information about the fan's operations and what it's filtering. Highly recommended.

The Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool PH2 De-NOx is a futuristic looking device sporting the classic Dyson fan design. The color scheme is modern with gold and nickel accents and a white fan casing made out of a plastic polymer. The central portion is covered by a stylish gold metallic grill hiding the filters. The filters are easy to access by removing the gold grill. The 2 filters are semicircular both with HEPA and carbon filters (HEPA+K-Carbon). According to Dyson the filters trap 99.97% of all particles 0.3microns and larger. It also filters out formaldehyde that is emitted from your furniture, flooring and other household items! The filter also captures additional Nitrogen dioxide compared to their standard model with its impregnated Potassium carbonate (the K in K-Carbon). The filter is rated to last about a year running the purifier 12 hours a day. The app will tell you when the filter needs changing. The fan is a large white oval with integrated veins that can oscillate from side to side to direct the air. There are several patterns available. The fan can be adjusted from low to high level or left on automatic, letting it adjust on its own just based on the levels of pollutants in the air. The humidifier has a one gallon tank and can give you up to 36 hours of humidified air depending on the initial room humidity. The humidifier keeps the mist bacteria free with 275nm ultraviolet light. The machine has an auto deep clean button that you activate with one button press, it will tell you exactly what to do to keep you unit at peak performance. There are automatic settings for the purifier allowing it to adjust fan levels based on the current pollutant level. There is an automatic setting for the humidifier so it will turn off and on to keep the level where you desire. For those of you sensitive to noise or light there is a night mode that lowers the fan so it is very quiet and dims the LCD. There is even a sleep timer that can turn the fan completely off. Dyson has an Android and iOS app that can be used to control the fan, the levels of pollutants and the humidity within your space. The app will track the pollutant level over time. You can see the Large and small particulate levels, the Volatile organic compounds and Nitrogen dioxide. The graphs give you insight into the environment of your home and suggest changes that can help improve it. I can tell you that my allergies have significantly improved since using the Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool PH2 De-NOx in my bedroom. I do not wake up with a stuffed up nose any longer. I love the monitoring of the air and the automatic adjustment ability and the unit just looks so cool. This is a big thumbs up if you need one of the best air purifiers out there, I highly recommend it.

Dyson makes amazing home comfort and lifestyle products and their bladeless fan and Air Multiplier technology is a big reason for their earned reputation. This unit builds on their pedigree, but choose carefully!!! They have multiple products that look the same but function very differently. This unit looks like a fan, but cooling with direct air flow not its forte, its primarily an Air Purifier which is what the air grates and enlarged mid-section do. There's multiple layers of filters that collect and filter debris, from HEPA cotton to charcoal. Also, this unit has something I've never seen on a filter of this type, a Humidifier! As a parent of young children, this is amazing which is why I chose this specific model. Children are not only sensitive to debris, pollen and dust in the air, they also can be extremely sensitive to dry air which can contribute to upper respiratory illnesses especially in the dry cold winter months. The Purifier feature is also great for our playroom because we still have a baby/toddler in diapers who likes to go in the corner to do his business. He's gone near the purifier a few times and I can gladly report the Dyson was up to the task! Also, there's no moving blades so there's no fear of him trying to reach his hands into the unit! Another huge bonus for these kinds of bladeless air circulators from Dyson. While the unit is almost made entirely of plastic, it is substantial and premium in both look and feel. Dyson has that premium lifestyle motif down cold and their products are a perfect blend of form and function. There's an included remote (which I hide immediately bc of kids) but it will attach magnetically to the top of the fan oval and the curves line up perfectly. I personally just set it to Auto via the phone App. The App experience and out of box experience is exceptional as well. Every Smart device company should take note. There's so much going on under the hood but all you have to do is mostly confirm settings and enter your WiFi password and you're good to go. App nearly mirrors the layout and functionality of the remote control verbatim which is an excellent experience. The one MAJOR oversight that still exists from my previous experience with the App is that it does NOT allow you to set a custom name for a room. This is a pretty glaring oversight in my opinion, as almost every other smart home app I've used allows you to set a custom name for a room. How do you have "Conservatory" and not a pre-set for "Nursery" or "Play Room" is beyond me, maybe its because Dyson is a British company? No Tea Room or Parlor pre-set at least. Maybe this is to limit voice control variance, but they just integrate with Siri, Alexa or Google Home in the App, and all of those services have no problems recognizing the room names I listed for my other devices. Just very odd that a company that has such great attention to detail missed this. I did appreciate how the app automatically registers the unit for you which starts the 2 year warranty, that's a nice touch! Another knock on this unit as I mentioned is that it isn't a great Cooling Fan. If you want something to circulate direct air and cool in a room, or even heat up a room as some of their units will do, this is not the unit for you. While there are some surprises I was not expecting, like the ability to oscillate, the fan and cooling function is generally underwhelming as there is very little direct air pressure even on the highest setting of 10. Also at that level, the fan becomes audibly loud to the point it is difficult to hear a conversation, talk, or listen to TV. It is also a higher "gush" pitch than I find comfortable for use as white noise, so not great in terms of that functionality either. I am not sure if the oscillating function + humidifier is the cause of this increased noise, because the unit does not swivel as a whole, likely due to the heaviness of the water tank for the humidifier, so they had to make slits in the oval air tower that move left to right which is a novel idea, but I think the forced air through those slits creates extra turbulence and noise. The humidifier is also excellent which is a primary reason I chose this unit. The water tank sliding out with a clip cover prevents spilling while you move after filling it up, but I will likely just fill up a pitcher and bring it to this unit. I'm not sure how frequently I'll need to fill it up or clean it but that will likely depend on how dry the air is. Right now we're in the heat of summer but overall it is pretty humid, I would expect the humidifier to work more in the winter when its dry. The last major thing to consider is cost of maintenance and replacement. I have the Big and Quiet and those replacement filters were very affordable (<$100), easy to clean and have not yet needed to be replaced, so I would imagine this unit is similar. Overall I really enjoy this Purifier but its not quite perfect. I mainly docked it points due to the price and how it just falls slightly short of the high bar set by Dyson. They've got a high standard and reputation to maintain and this product is just a little bit unbalanced overall, but still an excellent buy as a purifier and humidifier especially if you have young kids and pets!

I've had a few pretty nice purifiers over the last few years. This is probably the most advanced one I've used. It adds the ability to maintain a humidity level. It's got a really neat oscillation design. It connects to wifi so you can control everything about it from your phone. Pretty nice stuff. Setup is pretty easy. Discovering that the box just collapses completely was pretty nice (just pray you don't need to ship it back!). It takes a few minutes to discover and remove all the tap that holds everything steady while it's boxed up. Then you can just plug it in and turn it on and you're already ready to roll. If you want to go a step further and add the device to the Dyson app, it's also a pretty easy process. Hold the power button to make sure the wireless is active and just let the app search for the device. Once it finds it, you can control every aspect of the machine right from your phone instead of needing to find the remote. The purifier works as well as you'd expect. It seems to do a good job detecting when there's some cleaning it needs to do and gets to work (if you have it set to auto). There's a nice little graph that scrolls by so you can see how your air quality was throughout the day. I really wish there was a way to keep the purifier on auto mode so it would kick in when the quality drops but also set a minimum fan speed to get a nice breeze at the same time. For the most part, when it's on auto and there's nothing to do, you'll barely feel it. The humidifier also seems to work as advertised. You can just spew water into the air at a steady rate if you're into that kind of thing, or just set the humidity you'd like to maintain and if it detects it's too low, it'll increase it's output until it's hit it's mark. The tank on this thing is massive and really well thought out. It has little coasters on the bottom so it's easy to slide the tank in and out of the purifier. It also has a really nice collapsible handle so you can fill up the massive reservoir and then just carry it back to your humidifier with the handle. I really like the handle design. The water also lasts a pretty long time if you're air isn't particularly dry. The standard Dyson fanless design of the air output lends itself to a really neat oscillation feature. Each side of the output can sway back and forth independently. This leads to a few cool options when it comes to oscillation with the purifier. You can set a 45 or 90 degree swing. But you can also set it to blow out of the other side if you want. The feature I like the best is the "breeze" setting. This makes both sides sway back and forth at varying speeds so you really do get some randomized breezes throughout your day. Most fans I've used with a breeze or "natural" option usually just randomly increase and decrease the speed of the fan and usually is incredibly distracting because the noise ramps up and down a lot. This randomized sway is really, really nice. Overall, I'm liking this purifier. It works as advertised. It might be a little pricey depending on your budget. So keep that in mind and if this fits your budget, give it a try.

This review is for the Dyson – Purifier Humidify + Cool PH2 De-Nox This was a quick and easy unbox and setup. Not much to do after unboxing, Just remove some tape and plastic plug it in and you are good to go. I have other Dyson products so I already have the MyDyson app. But if you don’t you will find it for both apple or android phones and tablets. After you have the app it paired very fast and easy. It does come with a remote if you prefer to use that over your phone. But you will need the app or remote to use all of the functions this unit offers. My children have bad allergies, so we try our best to make our home a safe place for them. So, in doing so we have 5 different air purifiers around the house. This one is a bigger unit and is in our living room, They make such a big difference in their breathing. They also help remove smells from cooking and our pets. The unit itself is constructed very well and feels of high-quality. It has very good air movement. And it even has an oscillating option. The humidity option can be turned on or off was you wish, and just uses tap water.

I had a Dyson fan and air filter but when I heard Dyson was making a humidifier, air filter and a fan all in one unit I had to have it.

This Dyson is amazing. It cools, adds moisture to the air, and cleans it all at once. The air feels super fresh, and I breathe better at night. The app is easy to use and shows air quality. It’s quiet, looks fancy, and works great. A little expensive, but totally worth it if you want clean, comfy air at home.

This Dyson is quite the statement piece when it comes to combination fan technology. I have been a long fan of the Dyson fan brand, with one of my longest living fans a heat/cold model. Dyson does not disappoint for their brand/line with this product. To start, the fan is assembled out of the box (beyond attaching the power cord). Took about 2-minutes to take off the packing and put all pieces in place. There is not a lot of detail regarding information in the box - rather a QR code to download the Dyson app on a smart phone. From there, once pulled in the Dyson pairs to your phone via Bluetooth and then will connect to Wifi. Once hooked to Wifi, you are able to access the unit from the app and make adjustments along with see information report (instead of just having the screen/remote for control purposes). The fan is sturdy/heavier than I expected, with my previous model in mind. The fan weighs about 20lbs, without water in the reservoir. I initially had placed it on a piece of furniture but found that it seemed a little too high up in the room and subsequently placed it on the floor. My previous hot/cool is on a small stand because it was not high enough. The cool. This model has 10 fan speeds available - air primarily comes out of two slits on each side of the fan. The base is fixed (and at first I told my wife "I guess this unit does not auscultate") with the ability to auscultate actually embedded into the individual pillars of the fan. Nifty, low profile action. There is also the ability to reverse direction of air, which is of benefit if placed in a larger room, depending on needs. Of note, seems to make a bit less noise than I'm accustomed to - my more scared cat has confronted the unit head on and is not petrified as she is with some appliances. The humidify. There is a water reservoir on the bottom of the unit that is easily detached. There is a nifty handle that you can use during filling. There is an insert included that explicitly tells you not to get the top piece wet or could malfunction. Worst case, if it does, there's replacements available on Dyson website, but expensive. Once filled and back in place, humidify option was as simple with the press of a button (or through the app) and adjustment as needed. Surprisingly, the room I placed the fan into already had 69% humidity (thank you mid east states for that disgusting atmosphere in Summer), so I was not able to fully test efficiency will improving humidity but visually/mechanically very straight forward and looking forward to using as needed - especially during the winter months. The unit comes with descaling packets as well, to get you started - and the unit/app monitors when this is needed depending on water type. The application. Gives the hub for clearly presented information. The front page has room temperature, humidity and dominant pollutant displayed. Swiping down, you are able to see further details including light indicators (and numbers) for air quality index, particulate matter, formaldehyde, volatile organic compounds and nitrogen dioxide with graphs of trends over time. This purifier is designed to address each of these noted components, which depending on environment may or may not be overkill. The filter is HEPA. One of the nice features is that the water is reportedly hygienically processed to remove bacteria, so you more confidently hope you're not aerosolizing bacteria. Both my wife and I are very satisfied with placing this in our daughters room, which is a bit overkill in my opinion, but reassuring to keep the air surrounding her purified, cooled and humidified.

Hey, so I have a Dyson. This thing is pretty big. I actually had to read the instructions and watch a few videos to figure out how to get it up and running. Probably the best looking piece of hardware in my house. Oh yeah, it works pretty good as a air filter. It's the middle of the summer so I have no idea how well the humidifier function works. Hopefully it works as well as the filter. This was pretty easy to assemble and get running. I initially thought that it just moved air directly in front of it. Nope, there is a way to get it to move the air from side to side. The remote is kind of small but it magnetic so you can stick it to the top of the unit so you don't have to worry about losing it, like I said, it's small. It isn't the quietest but on fan speed 2 & 3 you should be able to forget about it being on in the room. Now the app that is a companion to this unit is pretty slick. I can't speak on the extra features that thing has cooked into. Have no idea what the benefits are going to be for me. I have noticed a difference in the smell in the room and I had a air filter in the room previously. So it is definitely doing its job. I need to use it a little longer before I can recommend it. But I do like the way I can use it with either Alexa of Google.
