I bought my refurbished dc14 in Jan 2012 and it's now Sept 2012 - I'm still lovin' my vacuum. I picked up my dc14 from my local best buy and immediately put it together and started to read the owner's manual and try out all the functions. I couldn't get the wand to slide out of the hose - so I called dyson customer support and they sent me a new wand. Didn't fix the problem. So I took the vacuum into my local certified dyson dealer's repair shop and they determined that it needed a new hose. Once the new hose was installed the vacuum was as good as new and I've been a very happy dyson owner for the last nine months. All the repairs/parts were covered by the warranty. I think I'm very lucky there was a certified dyson dealer close by as I had read some horror stories about people who had to ship their vacuums in to dyson for repair.

I actually like this vacuum. It picks up great and has lots of USABLE attachments. Runs real quiet. I can vac around the dogs and they don't run.....even run the hose on them and they seem to enjoy it. I did get the refurbished. It looks and runs no different than my friends who bought a 'new' one....only mine was over a $100 cheaper. Woo hoo. Great Vacuum.

I was a bit of a skeptic to the whole "Dyson" thing. I mean how can this thing be soooo much better than my $100 special?? Well we shampooed all the carpets first then went back over them with my old vacuum. A day later, I received the remanufactured Dyson, which looks absolutely brand new. We put it together and gave it a test run. I could literally not believe the funk that came out of the carpets after I had just vacuumed, shampooed and vacuumed again. All from 2 year old carpets... I'm a believer now! I can't however, see how the $600 Dysons can suck any better than this one. They would probably be good if you are trying to suck the dirt up from under your slab! Quit wasting money on a cheaper vacuum and buy this sucker! Your wife will thank you and love you forever!! Well at least every time she vacuums!!

I purchased a Dyson 14 today and couldn't wait to use it. I vacuumed our family room area rug with our old Hoover first, for comparison. It was unbelievable! There is no comparison! I had to empty the cannister after doing that one rug! I proceeded to vacuum the rest of the carpet in the house, which is half hardwood and half carpet/rugs. I emptied the cannister a total of 5 times before I was finished!! We have two shih tzus, which are kept groomed. And much to my shame, we have been living in filth. I expect this vacuum to significantly prolong the life of all of my expensive rugs and carpet, and to keep our house as clean as we want it to be. I swear I even noticed that the colors of the rugs were even more vibrant after the vacuuming!

delivered to my front door free, open box, pull out Dyson, plug in and go. My kind of vacuum for 2 dogs - one is a shedding lab, a house in the woods and a husband who has a wood workshop. Using the Dyson is a joy, but cleaning the cleaning the container that collects the dirt is the ultimate: Hold it over your garbage can, push the red button, dirt drops into the garbage can, close the lid. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased the refurbished unit and spent less than $250. The most I ever spent on a vacuum cleaner but I would never go back to the cheap models which we replaced annually.

At first the bare floor/carpet switch wouldn't work but then it somehow did. It has picked up so much stuff that I had no idea was in my carpet. I can't imagine ever owning a different brand.... However, next time i will purchase one w/ a 5 year warranty because i'm afraid i'll have to live without it at some point and don't want that to happen. BUT the refurbished price is amazing and haven't had any problems yet :)

I have gone through 3 vacuums in 5 years, yet I still have a 27 year old Hoover at our lake house - point being, they don't make vacuums like they used to. At least that is what I thought until I bought my Dyson. It works great on both hardwood and carpet - most vacuums blow dirt around on hardwood, but this one really sucks it in. It also seems durable and the design is well thought out - I love the handle suction wand. Overall great vacuum.

Easy to put together and use. Looks and works as if it is brand new as opposed to refurbished. Completely addictive as you can see all the dirt and dust it's able to pick up...and I thought my home was really clean.

It is an amazing vacuum!!!!! Everything about it is awesome..... Easy too use comes right out of the box ready to clean your floors.... My wife and I love our Dyson even though I hate to vacuum.... It does truly suck up everything amazing..

Got it in four days, just vacuumed with old sweeper, put the Dyson together & vacuumed with it. cuoldn't believe how much dirt it picked up! Great buy, great value!

Good, strong vacuum. Does a great job picking up my cats hair! my apartment feels a lot cleaner now! The quality is good - guess thats why its so expensive!

Bought this refurbished dyson for my son. Now I want my older dyson refurbished. It's just like brand new but at less cost! What a great deal!

Amazing vacuum. Its easy to put together from the box, easy to take apart to clean. Directions in book are easy and concise. Its not heavy or irritating like a canister vacuum. It doesn't clog up with dog hair. Totally worth it and I should have bought one long ago.

I purchased a refurbished vacumm. The product was delivered quickly and works great. I usually don't like to buy refurbished items but the price was good so I thought I'd give it a try.

Love it, will never buy a vacuum with a bag system again.

Happened to see this in the outlet store on the website so decided to try it..Price has been going down on this model, but still got a great deal...Works like brand new....We have 2 long haired dogs and it keeps up..Couldn't be happier...
