But as far as filtering odors, I cannot perceive it doing anything at all. Supposed to sense impurities in air quality. My neighbors smoke (weed and cigarettes) as well as cook outside which comes directly into my apartment. The air quality display never changes. If I can smell it there are particles in the air, but the fan seems to do nothing but blow them around. Yes I have made sure the filters are installed correctly. I'll keep it because repackaging to return it would be a major hassle. But I will reconsider the vacuum I was thinking about buying.

We're sorry to hear that in your use thus far, you haven't noticed a change in the air quality, while using your air purifier. Dyson Purifiers operate with HEPA filtration, which is designed to capture 99.97% of particles as mall as 0.3 microns. The 360 degree filter is designed to draw in air from all around the machine. As a result, Dyson purifiers are great for removing allergens, dust, mold and even bad smells. The filter included with your machine is designed to last up to 12 months with 8 hours per day usage or about 6 months with more continuous use. It's certainly unusual to hear that odors such as smoke from a neighbor's apartment would still be lingering in your home, after use.
