Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the impressive suction power and long battery life of the V11 Origin Cord-Free Stick Vacuum. Many appreciate its ease of use and lightweight design, making cleaning convenient. However, some find the price to be a significant drawback, and the dustbin capacity may require more frequent emptying than desired. The cordless functionality is also a frequently praised feature.

This has been an excellent purchase. It works great, is lightweight and the battery use time is excellent for my needs in a 3 bedroom 2 bath house with wood floors and throw rugs. I also enjoy the fact that this model comes with a detachable battery. I was wondering how this would do on all wood floor home, and it has been exceptional for me. So much easier than sweeping and gets the floor much cleaner. It also works great with getting up all of the cat hair. Don't let the new digital screen upgrade steer you away from this. The LCD works just fine. Digital $100.00 upgrade is just not worth it.

Though intimidating because it has so many components and parts, Dyson actually makes their vacuums extremely easy to use, clean/maintain, and enjoy! It’s not too heavy & the user does not need to bend down a lot nor at all, so it is perfect for elderly folks. The suction is so powerful and the charging is quick. Our 2,000 square foot house can be cleaned efficiently with this without back nor wrist/hand pain!

I think this is the only vacuum you need. Charge is well past the amount of time I’d ever vacuum for, I think it goes up to an hour. But the display shows 3 bars and the most I’ve used so far is one bar. It sounds and feels much smoother and quieter, but more powerful than the v7 I had before. The canister also allows it to hold more and the way you push the trash out of the canister is much easier. Definitely recommend.

Awesome vacuum. I didn't care for all the fancy LED displays on the more expensive version, but had all the same performance as the more expensive version - a no brainer. It is one powerful little sucker! It is freeing to be able to grab the vacuum, and do your chore, then put it back on the charger without ever having to deal with the pesky cords. Best purchase ever.

i LOVE this vacuum cleaner. I never thought I would say that I love my vacuum cleaner, but I am! Yes, it’s little pricey, but I can honestly say it worth it. It’s definitely more powerful than my previous dyson stick vacuum cleaner but quieter. I can do my entire house without needing to charge it which is a great plus. It automatically adjust the suctioning power which is neat. It is perfection!!! I just love it.

I love this vacuum. It is easy to use. My floors are hard wood and tile so this is perfect. I'm not sure what it would be like on all carpet. I love how it can go from hard floor to area rug with no problem. It does a good job. It easily detaches to a hand held. It is light weight as well. The charge lasts for the whole house. I love not having a cord. When I detach for the hand held I do wish the "base" would stand on it's own. I hope it will last a long time!

This vacuum has enabled us to clean more often, and having just had our first child this is something we badly needed to be able to do. Our old vacuum, while able to contain more dust/hair in the receptacle, was a nightmare to lug out, unravel, move furniture, scare the dog, re-wrap the cord then put back in the closet while trying to entertain/put our baby down for a nap...the Dyson has changed the game and my wife can literally vacuum while she holds the baby without any of that hassle (she hasn't allowed me to have a turn on the vacuum yet). And not holding as much dust at once as our old vacuum isn't an issue since because of the ease of use we vacuum way more often and on a whim, so there isn't as much to have to be held and we don't feel inclined to do the whole house every time like we did with the old vacuum because of the hassle it was just taking it out of the closet. Would definitely recommend.

This vacuum is great in the sense that it’s light, maneuverability is awesome and it does not make a lot of noise. My first gripe is that when using with the shorter attachment, it doesn’t seem to work as well. I don’t know why, but it didn’t pick up debris under the cushion seat of couch as easily. Second, we had it in boost mode and the battery drained very fast and got hot to the touch. So we just avoid using that feature. Still testing but so far it’s good.

This is a Best Buy exclusive vacuum so you won’t find it anywhere else at this price. I think it does the job just as well as the more expensive models so it’s a great deal. The canister is pretty heavy so you should probably use it in intervals. It charges pretty fast and the battery lasts for quite a while. There’s three modes but I just keep mine on auto for the best cleaning power on multiple surfaces. It automatically switches suction power if you go onto different surfaces. The steering is incredibly smooth and the low height of the bottom allows the vacuum to reach far under beds and tables.

I’ve had the Dyson ball, V6 and they don’t even come close to the V11 cordless. It is quiet, long battery life and incredible suction. Would highly recommend the V11 as a whole house vacuum.

Dyson continues to refine its cordless vacuums. This is a new model in Dysons line and there is not much info on it at this time, but given its retail price and name – origin - I believe this may be considered Dysons “entry” level vacuum. Even so the vacuum is very powerful with some upgrades from my current V10 Animal, which I have had for 2 years and have had no issues with and works as well today as new. This bodes well for this unit I think. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something that will vacuum up the smallest particles and you want to go cordless. But there are several different versions of Dyson vacuums with each having different/more accessories. So, make sure you purchase the version you want as adding accessories after the fact can get pricey. Positives; Nicely packaged using all recyclable paper. Was very easy to unpack and put together Unit is thoughtfully designed and seems sturdily built. Cryptic user manual – mostly pictures with little verbal info. Comes with wand to connect vacuum/handle to supplied torque drive cleaner head. Also has small clear storage clip that attaches to the wand to store the supplied combination and crevice tools for easy access while vacuuming. Docking station, plug in charger and 1 removable battery also included. Took about 2.5 hours for initial full charge but battery was not fully dis-charged. Took around 3.5 hours from full dis-charge. Having a detachable battery makes it much easier to replace or have multiples available to complete your vacuuming. A BIG step up from prior models. It seems they run around $150 apiece. While it does not have the minute count down as to how much power is left, as some Dysons do, the 3 bars have been moved to the top of the vacuum making it much easier to see when vacuuming. However, I have my docking station high enough that I cannot see the bars – but there are 2 little blue pulsing lights on either side of handle that go out when fully charged. A nice touch. Also, you can charge battery alone or attached to unit and you have option to not use docking station at all – just plug into charger. The power mode control is also located on top and now has push button rather than a click switch. VERY powerful vacuum motor with 3 power modes; Boost – using with powered floor attachment I got 10 minutes of run time. This is extremely powerful suction to the point I felt I could actually see the head lower when running. A tad difficult to maneuver on tile and almost impossible to move on carpet or rugs due to the extreme suction. Auto – using with powered floor attachment I got exactly 40 minutes of run time. You could feel the difference between this and “Boost” or “Eco” settings. Still very powerful suction and mode you would probably use most often. This mode is supposed to automatically change suction and I did notice an audible difference on vacuum when going between thicker carpet, tile or thin rugs. Eco – using with powered floor attachment I got about 60 minutes of run time. While this is the lowest suction setting it still is powerful. There is also a sliding adjustment on the floor attachment you can use to control some of the suction as well. I changed this for less suction when using on thicker carpet or rugs, rather than change the power mode. The other accessories do not have any adjustments. I did not do a run time test using just the non-powered attachments but would assume longer run time due to not running the beater bar. Very easy to maneuver but that is no surprise given Dyson more or less was the first to use the “ball” design. The power head is a tad small but it fits around the toilets very nicely as well as under most of my furniture. Has HEPA filter but still surprised it picked up as much dirt as it did in areas I had recently vacuumed. The cover is now clear making it much easier to tell of dirty. I had forgotten to clean this on my V10 and it would not run and told me I needed to clean the filter. This new model does a s well. Bag-less design allows for easy viewing and touch-less emptying. Dust collection area is very large but you do have to disconnect the wand or any attached accessories.to empty. Powered floor attachment is easy to dis-assemble to clean beater bar Filters in vacuum are easily accessed and cleaned using water. 2 year warranty and easy to register on Dysons site. Negatives; It’s a tad heavy. Still no way to lock the button to run so you must keep it pushed it in. I found this very tiring so I wound up using a twist tie to keep it pressed which worked nicely. Still no lights on power head. I know there could be an argument made that these would use power and lesson runtime, but LEDs use very little power and having more light in some areas would be nice. Battery took just about 3.5 hours to fully charge. This can certainly hamper your vacuuming if you have a large house and need to re-charge to finish. But at least now you have replaceable battery option. The power unit dust collection area is so large that trying to use in your car or in tight spaces can be challenging and makes it hard to see where you are vacuuming. Overall a very nice cordless vacuum and a nice step up from my 2 year old V10 animal.

Suction Power on Carpet - One Word: WOW!

Wow. The suction on this is amazing! We've had Dyson Ball upright and Dyson Canister over the years, but this by far surpasses the suction power of even those. Using it on the + setting, trying to push and pull it back was a working out! You not only feel the suction, you have to literally pull it away with the floor piece on (and on the carpet). It's lightweight, self-cleaning and automatically senses when you are on a carpet and kicks the suction up a notch. That's nice for the area rugs on the non-carpeted areas. It's worth every penny, especially if you are a clean freak like I am! :)

I was in need of a new vacuum. I have an 11 year old canister vacuum which still worked well but the cord got slightly damaged and I was having trouble getting vacuum bags for it. I also have 2 stories that I have to drag it up and down. I bought this thinking it would be my back up vacuum mainly for the basement and for quick jobs or light work until I got another canister. I have used stick vacuums before and have been disappointed, they just didn't clean as well as a canister. When I received it I was excited unboxing it, it's packaged nicely, It's a nice pink color and looks impressive. I plugged it in and waited the 4 hours to charge and started vacuuming. AMAZING this vacuum picked up so much more even though I used my canister the day before. It's so portable and everything looked so clean. I had to empty it multiple times but there was no tripping over the cord or plugging and unplugging it in each room and no tipping over the canister or dragging it. I was actually enjoying vacuuming. I almost cleaned the whole house in one charge. I have a mix of hard wood, rugs, tile and wall to wall. It worked well on all and switched automatically between the surfaces. It didn't throw stuff off the beater at the edges of rugs like my canister. I didn't have to switch heads between the carpet and smooth surfaces like my canister. I did have to turn down the suction on a few throw rugs because it is powerful and it tried to suck up the rug. It is really a great machine I did not know what I was missing. I love this vacuum. It will be my main vacuum. I don't think I will need to get another canister because this cleaned so well. Only negative I have is I find dumping this messy. I have long hair and 2 spaniel dogs so hair gets stuck in the collection canister and you have to pull it out with your hand and its dusty and dirty. It's a small sacrifice with everything else being a positive.

We love the updated features on this version of the Dyson stick vacuum! Better battery life, a battery charge indicator, on board storage for attachments, and automatic suction adjustment depending on the surface to lengthen the battery life. Add in the already great cleaning power and incredible turn radius and you have a great all around vacuum for everyday use in the home!

Upgraded from the Dyson V6 to this V11. Everything that annoyed me about the V6 was changed and improved on by the V11. Bigger dust receptacle, battery monitor, better roller, easier to empty. If I were forced to complain I'd say it's a bit heavier than I'd like, especially if using as a handheld, but the power is worth the weight.
