I had a Dyson v7 for like 8 years now, even after the battery mod to use other rechargeable batteries and everything. I splurs and got this thing cuz I figure I'm going to have it for another 8 years. So far so good. What's funny is my girls actually enjoy vacuuming now, specifically with the hardwood floor green light. It's Miley disturbing to see whatever is on your floor which even after you vacuum, if you go back a couple minutes later you'll just find more dust. I'm not sure if the automatic mode makes sense but it's got enough suction on eco mode for everything so far. I will have to say that I'm not the biggest fan of having to remove the attachments to empty the canister. It might seem sleek or something but I say that was a bad design move. Also, the thing is a beast off the wall. We had it in our garage by the stairs for easy access but now we're going to have to move it because it sticks out so far

I don’t have much experience with buying vacuums but all i know is i hated having to buy a new belt for them! I’ve had a pretty good vacuum sitting in my home for about a year now (about 8 years old) that i’ve been debating on getting rid of or trying to go out of my way to find the specific belt it needed that stores no longer sold and seems impossible to find or know if i’m getting the right one online. It was a good vacuum but let’s be honest, dragging a big ol vacuum around all the time with all the cords and attachments really does get hard to keep up with when you do a lot of daily cleaning. This christmas i got beyond fed up with the stress of not having a working vacuum and lack of having easy access to the things i needed. I clean on a daily basis and got a shoulder injury throughout the year due to unrelated issues, making it hard for me to sweep, mop and do any daily chores, we have one long haired cat and one dog + a lot of hair on our carpets from our elder dog who passed later in the year leaving a lot of hair tangled up in our living room carpet. I was skeptical buying this vacuum mainly because of the price, negative reviews on some dysons, if it really even lived up to its price or expectations and was stuck between the LG CORD ZERO and the dyson v15 and its other models , ultimately i went with the dyson v15 detect and taking a chance seeing how many pet owners owned it and seemed to love it as well! And i might say, this really is an amazing vacuum! Looking at all of my options i knew i had to spend a little more to get a bit ‘more’than i was getting before, As soon as i opened this vacuum up the first thing i did was vacuum our living room rug, the amount of hair it picked up in the first MINUTE of me running the vacuum over was insane, the amount of dirt and filth it drew out made me want to rent a rug cleaner! So the review on the rug portion, 100/10 and i’m beyond impressed. The microfiber roller for hardwood floors/ tiles is amazing! I would definitely say i have the most OCD in my household so me getting my hands on a vacuum with all these attachments as well as the light on the floor attachment was the best/worst things i could’ve done! And by that i mean you literally can see every single piece of dust you’ve ever missed with any other vacuum/broom! Between the extra pet hair around the house that we have on a daily basis, and the cat litter our cat kicks out, and the crumbs from the unknown, this vacuum definitely does the job and in my experience it gives me just enough time to get my chores done depending on how OCD im being that day! We have a two floor home and i’m able to do upstairs, downstairs and the stairs all with one battery charge (depending on how much hair is around the house that day). A full charge for me seems to be about 45 minutes. I’m able to use the attachment with the light on it on other things such as shelves, my tv stand, other certain low rugs, and i couldn’t be happier! It has taken a lot of strain off of my shoulders and gives me peace of mind knowing that i’m actually getting up dust, dirt, hair and whatever else there may be in the places we think are cleanest, without putting extra strain on my body. The attachment for upholstery also does an amazing dog and is AMAZING for cleaning inside of your car if you don’t have easy access to car vacuums! Even great for cleaning pillows , it’ll leave that nice looking detail mark which shows just how great the vacuum is working too! The suction on the vacuum is amazing and even though the v15 detect only has 3 modes (eco,auto,high) it does an outstanding job and i’m beyond impressed and happy with my purchase. + the filter is super easy to clean but just takes some time to dry :-) on my first week having this vacuum i vacuumed up a small cat dookie my cat dragged out of her litter by accident not noticing until it was too late, it got tangled into the microfiber roller and smeared all over BUT dyson made this attachment easy to take apart and CLEAN!!!! I was able to wash the whole roller piece with dish soap and i was able to dry it and use it just like new. i was so beyond grateful for that so if these are any things you are concerned about or things your considered, this is definitely a great vacuum to go for! the only maintenance you might not like doing is just having to cut hair out from between the little wheels all around the vacuum. but i guess id rather take that than to change a belt and have a bulky vacuum again.

So far so good with this Dyson. Our other stick vacuum broke so we decided to try a different brand. Very happy we chose this Dyson. It is powerful, easy to use, battery life is sufficient and it comes with great accessories. Love the light on the hard surfaces floor head, just wish the carpet attachment had a light. Also wish the trigger had a lock or they changed to a digital on/off switch but that is the only real issue I have.

I’ve been using the Dyson V15 Detect for a while now, and it’s hands-down the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. The laser light on the hard-floor attachment is a game changer, it shows dust and dirt I would’ve never noticed, making cleaning almost satisfying. The suction power is incredible. It automatically adjusts depending on the floor type or amount of dirt, so I never have to think about settings. Carpets, hardwood, pet hair—it handles everything effortlessly. I also love the LCD screen that shows battery life and the size of particles being picked up. It feels high-tech and actually useful. The battery lasts long enough for me to clean my entire home, and it recharges quickly. The attachments are really practical too, especially the anti-tangle tool for pet hair on furniture. No more stopping to cut hair out of the brush! Yes, it’s a bit pricey and slightly heavier than older Dyson models, but the quality and performance make it worth every penny. The air feels fresher after vacuuming thanks to its filtration system, which is a big plus for allergy season.

This vacuum! I live in an old building that is incredibly dusty, have a cat and have sinus issues and allergies - this vacuum has made a real difference. I have had an original ball Dyson for 14+ years, it still works well, but wanted something lighter, quieter, cordless, but still able to really clean. I made the mistake of buying a shark cordless, and it just did not do a good job, so I decided to splurge for the Dyson v15. I”should have started with the Dyson, but am happy I figured it out and now have the Dyson V15 detect. First, the main attachment for rugs and multi-surfaces does as well or better than my old Dyson workhorse. and it’s quieter, which my cat appreciates, he no longer disappears for hours under a bed when I vacuum. I have hardwood floors and area rugs throughout my apartment and my favorite tool and feature is the fluffy floor - optic cleaner head - it is amazing. You might think your floors are clean, but this shows where the dust is and does a remarkable job really cleaning the floors. The fluffy optic head turns and maneuvers easily to fit under just about anything. It is so easy to use, that I am able to do a quick morning and evening pass through the kitchen, halls, and where the litter box lives - and my apartment is much cleaner. actually LIKE using it! The other tools are helpful and have been put to good use, it is easy to empty to bin without mess, it quickly becomes a handheld, it is quieter, holds the charge well, have been able to vacuum the entire apartment without any issues. I never thought I would say this about a vacuum, but I love this machine and actually like vacuuming now.

We purchased the V 15 Dyson vacuum August 24 and brought it home. We were at the store looking at the two different vacuums and there just so happen to be a representative from Dyson there at the time, we asked him a few questions about the two different vacuums, and he was very knowledgeable and very informative about all the products he had there on the shelves. We told him that we had already purchased three other Dyson vacuums before purchasing this V 15 and we proceeded to ask him what the difference was between the two, I explained it very thoroughly which helped us make up our minds about the one that we actually bought. The year 2018 was the first cordless Dyson vacuum that we purchased, and my wife loved it, the Dyson cordless vacuum is all we have ever used. When we purchase a Dyson vacuum we always purchase the five year warranty on each of the vacuums, even though it was a little more than I planned on paying on a warranty but the decision was well worth the purchase. now with this new V 15 Dyson vacuum that we purchased with 15 different accessories they’re amazing. and again well worth the price of the machine. it’s got an attachment that has a luminous light. that can detect dog hair on the wood and tile floors that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Another miraculous attachment it comes with is an attachment for the sofas, chairs and also the mattress for getting rid of dust mites in the mattress all in all the machine is amazing thank you very much Dyson.

I live in a small apartment with 5 cats and a carpet that covers most of the living space. I don’t know why I refused to acknowledge I needed a Dyson vacuum. I bought a small handheld for “the little messes”, but just 1 month into moving here, I had to face the truth. I AM A GIRLY POP THAT NEEDS A GOOD PORTABLE VACUUM. As soon as I got it I started using it, and haven’t stopped since. Every single day I use it, and my life is better because of this. I even asked for assistance to my trusted AI, and it told me this specific model was indeed what I needed. The battery lasts me two days, and it’s multiple heads help reach even behind my appliances. I honestly love it. I had my severely cat-hair-allergic cousins over and they completed their visit without crying or itching. The filter is crazy good and the suction is amazing. Honestly, don’t doubt it too much, this has being the best decision ever.

I was hesitant to pay the higher price for a cordless stick vacuum, but I am glad I did. It was so easy to clean areas that were a chore to do with my old upright vacuum (like my carpeted stairs), and it did a much better job too. I'm glad I went for the more capable V15 - I don't think I would have been satisfied with the lower cost (and less-powerful) models. The fluffy cleaner head was a game changer for my hardwood floors. I thought the particle counter readout would be a cheesy gimmick, but it actually makes cleaning more interactive, even my kids are excited to use it (at least for now haha). I bought an inexpensive stand on Amazon so I didnt have to mount the charger dock to a wall, and it'sright near where we will use it the most. I can vacuum busy areas regularly without draining the battery. Overall a great investment!

Battery life is incredible compared to previous models. I live that the light on the head of the vacuum shows you invisible dust and dander. The suction level adapts to the level needed when switching from hard wood, linoleum, and then to carpet. I love that the LCD screen shows you exactly what’s been sucked up and how long of a change is left to complete the tasks you need. The reservoir holds quite a bit and is very easy to clean out! Absolutely Love this!

Many attachments but my favorite is the bare floor one. It emits a green light showing ALL dust, crumbs, or hairs on the floor. I love the auto power adjustment to throttle suction up or down as needed. Battery seems to hold well.

I have two full sized Dyson corded vacuumes and a Bissel corded. This is my first dyson cordless. I bought it for kitchen hardwood floors and tile and maybe for spiderwebs in the basement window sills. Started off badly, the power adapter (see photo) prong was bent over has if someone stepped on it. Im guessing it was like that from the factory because the box and packaging was not dented anywhere so someone at Dyson must have put in a bent power supply. I had some small vise grips and was able to bend it back without snapping the plastic housing. You do need a working power pack to use. 1 Star off for quality control in packaging, someone was not paying attention. Floors the Fluffy with the green laser worked pretty good but seemed to clog easily setting off the "clog warning" was hard to see just a bit of paper at the brush end where it leads into the hose. Not quite enough power to suck it all that way in. I corded vac or a wet dry would have powered that in no problems. After I cleared it I give it a 7/10 for the hardwood floor maybe a little weak on auto. - Weight - A non issue to me, if you people think this is heavy start working out of something its not heavy at all. I would not want it any lighter as the battery would not have enough to give it the limited suction it has. Weight I give it 9 of 10 stars Its light enough. - Carpet attachment - limited use, seems to do ok but I would not use it for entire house I think it would run out of juice, it does drag more than a standard upright corded vacuum on medium carpet. I give it 8 of 10, it does well but not sure how large a house you could do with the 1 battery. Its not match for the up right corded dyson on carpet, just does not have the power but its not bad for its weight. I could see it doing ok with a 1 bedroom apartment. Light pipe crevice tool - I liked this one alot. Very good for reaching up into high corners of ceiling and windows to get spider webs. I had a basement window that seems to be a camp ground for spiders in the summer, they spin a web then in the corners and are hard to reach with the desks in the way. This light wand made it very easy and almost fun to suck in the cobwebs. I have allergies and its exhaust was clean enough where I did not have asthma issues from the particles, which I normally have with say a mini shop vac. Dumping the container is easier than changing a shop bag. Hair screw tool - works but not sure what its for. I have leather couches and furniture so it seemed a bit aggressive, I think it needs cloth to dig into not smooth. The fluffy optic is pretty nice, does smooth hardwood well and can do some carpet where it meets the tile. Its best to change to the more aggressive carpet head but it will clean carpet just not as well. Power - hmm it does not feel super strong on med or auto mode. The max setting is what I used for spider webs. I wish there was a setting between the med/auto and max the auto is not bad just seems a little weak to me at times, it might be all that is required though to save battery life. I am just use to industrial strength Bissels and corded Dysons. This feels like a glorified hand car vacuum. in comparison. My needs are quick clean ups in the kitchen, entry carpet and maybe my car, tile areas of the house + spider webs it crushes. I do like that I don't have to mess with a plug its good enough for most things. I can't see doing a 20x24 carpeted room with it. Maybe it could do it, but I would not be as fast as a upright and not as robust. My bissels is built like a tank its not going break. They Dyson I feel like I have to baby it or I will snap it like a dry twig in the desert. Just too much plastic. Yes I get it they want plastic for weight but its not stronger than steel. I give it s 6 of 10 for robustness, I just don't see this thing lasting a long time without it breaking. I would love to be proven wrong. Price - $599.99 + 6% tax (that is sale too) is maybe a we bit over priced. If it lasts I wont sweat the cost. Pros - lightweight, no cords, decent power, easy to empty, useful attachments. Cons: Bent charger prongs = questionable quality control No bag or holder for all the accessories, they can get lost easily. 1 gallon zip lock might do the trick for the cost hmm they could have included something like a dyson bag. Directions were a bit weak on the attachments like give a photo of how best to use the storage clip thing, basically zero info on it. For me 1. No coards 2. Light 3. Decent power and run time good enough my needs Im still going to run a wet swizzler or mop in the kitchen for sticky stuff, the wet Dyson is not ready for prime time. It think this + a mop once in a while for sticky is the ticket for kitchen, tile floors bathrooms. Im still not sold it can do 2000 square foot carpet house as the main cleaner. Im sure some people do it with 3 batteries just like by brother mows his lawn with 4 batteries and tiny electric mower that needs to be tossed in the trash :). -

I purchased this for my wife. We wanted something that was a little lighter than our other vacuum. It was easy to put together and easy to use. I was amazed as to how much that this vacuum picked up. It also has an auto adjustment that controls the vacuum intensity due to the amount of dirt it is picking up. You can also set it to eco for longer battery life or full boost for very dirty areas. It has a gauge for how much of the various size material it has picked up.

This thing is incredible. Im still trying to figure out if its worth the price tag, however if you have a best buy credit card, they offer affordable, intrest free financing so that's what i opted for. This thing cleans phenominally. I was skeptical at first if this tiny thing would be able to effectively clean my mostly carpet house, but its surpassed my expectations by a ton. I have a kitty who sheds like nothing else and this thing picks up so much fur and dirt. The amount of dirt it picks up is actually kind of scary, but at the same time, i feel better knowing its out of my carpet. The included attachments are so convenient. Im able to vacuum my couch, stairs and corners so easily. Being 32 weeks pregnant, that's a huge bonus for me. Its pretty quiet compared to a plug in vacuum as well. I love that its cordless. No more lugging around a heavy vacuum and plagging it in and having to maneuver around the chord. The battery doesnt last super long especially if you use the boost mode, but i usually use it on auto and im able to get my entire house done and have some battery left and it still picks up a sickly anount of dirt and hair. I actually enjoy vacuuming now and thats something i thought i would never say. My only issue with it is that it struggles with taller carpets like the ones i have in my upstairs. If i run it on anything other than the eco mode, the brushes dont move. With that being said, even on eco mode, it still picks up a ton of stuff. If you have the money and are questioning if this is worth it, i promise you, it is!!

Dyson V15 Detect Absolute Vacuum: The micro-dust feature on this vacuum is a plus! My hardwood floors literally look freshly mopped from dust, not to be mistaken from soiled floors. The sun hits my floors in an angle and still looks dusty from my other vacuum. As I vacuum with the Dyson I can actually see all the tiny particles it picks up that my old vacuums totally missed. I would absolutely buy this vacuum again! Yes, it’s a bit on the heavier side but an easy fix! When my right forearm arm gets achy for this 68 yr old gal, I just switch to using both hands and keep going. Because my house is 3,046 sq ft (big, open floor plan!), the batteries don’t quite last for the whole house in one run. But I found the perfect system: I vacuum one side on Thursday and the other on Friday. Splitting it up keeps my arms happy and the floors sparkling. Also great by Cat litter box!!!

This is such an easy-to-use product. It is light, with great suction power. I have a German Shedder and Dyson makes cleaning so much easier and convenient.

I have 5 dogs and 2 are bad shedders and this is my 3rd vac stick I’ve tried and it does a great job! I use eco on my runners and med for the floors and unlike the other brands, I can do the entire house with only 10% use. It also empties easier and doesn’t clog like the others. Worth the price definitely for dog owners.

Quiet east to use on the stairs and long run time . I had a coreded Dyson and it was such a great machine but after going cordless and the amount of dirt this machine picks up I am convinced thay cordless is the way to go also makes cleaning fun again
