Great new album from a great band! Dave and the boys really sound awesome! I may be in the minority, but I did like Super Collider. With that being said, Dystopia sounds nothing like it! The classic Megadeth sound is back!! They returned back to their roots with this one! Megadeth fans will love it!! I really recommend everyone to pick this one up!

I have been a Megadeth fan since So Far... Was released. They have lost their way and come back several times in their career, but Dystopia is a definite 'come back' moment. The album doesn't have any bad tracks on it. You can definitely feel the influence, of arguably their biggest album 'Rust In Piece', on Dystopia, but along with the familiarity, is a fresh new feel to the album as well. I paid the $2 extra to get the limited edition with the VR Goggles and it was $2 well spent! The extra videos that come with the app are worth it alone. With the goggles, I had to hunt to find the assembly instructions within the app, but once set up, looks great! Nice package all round. A great Megadeth album, and relevant to the times, with just a nod back to 1990! Enjoy!

Dave Mustaine and company are back with a new album and it's quite the step up from its two most recent predecessors Thirteen and Super Collider. In fact this is a renaissance for the band as a new chapter is written with yet another (but great) lineup accompanying the two Daves. I would rank this up as one of the best (but not the best) Megadeth albums, alongside Endgame and Rust in Peace (the latter being the gold standard). Aggressive and heavy, Dystopia is once again heavily influenced by current events and politics which may turn some people off, but if you're a fan of the band you're used to these types of lyrics. Coupled with a new drummer and another guitarist, this a true return to form for this legendary band.

The band recorded 15 songs for this record, out of which 11 made it to the standard CD, 2 were bonus tracks for Best Buy and iTunes, a Japan release exclusive "Me hate you", and a cover of old school metal band Budgie that did not make it to the actual release. If like me, you're a collector, this is the edition to get. You get the CD with the most material, and you get the little goggles for the VR content on top for a couple extra dollars. I bought two copies, as I gave one as a present. As stated, best bang for your buck. Rock on!

Pretty much you shouldn't be surprised by this CD. Megadeth does what they do -- and they do it well. I will admit that I haven't found this album as 'catchy' as previous releases -- but that could be as much about my musical vibe at the moment as the CD itself. But even tho it's not what I've been craving at the moment, I wanted to grab it while I could still get the VR edition in case it was truly limited copies. Unfortunately, I've been having difficulty getting the VR app to play properly, but I'll figure it out -- I haven't spent all that much time troubleshooting the issue yet. Overall another solid thrash outing from one of the originals.

Being a Megadeth fan since the beginning, I will always like Dave Mustaine's songwriting. They are my favorite band, so maybe I am , little biased with my opinion. However, this is absolutely brilliant...do NOT buy this if you hate guitar solos that shred, drums are in your face, and bass riffs punch it home. In all seriousness.....the album needs no review, you like Megadeth you will love this. The virtual reality bonus is way cool and fun.

    Best Album Since Rust

This is the best Megadeth album since Rust In Peace. It's very reminiscent to days of Peace Sells. I've been a fan of Megadeth since its originally release. Over the years the albums have had some great songs on their with some songs that were just fillers. This album has excellent songs from the opening track to the closing track. This is a must have for any Megadeth fan or for those just learning about what Megadeth are all about.

Megadeth rocks, and this album totally brings them back to their metal roots! Dave sounds great, the riffs are awesome, and the new drummer and guitarist rock. The cardboard that comes with this isn't bad, but it's cardboard 1.0 so it only works with phones that are like 5 inches. Doesn't work on my Moto X Pure or Note 4 because the screen is too big. Otherwise, awesome purchase!

This is the best work Megadeth has churned out in years in my opinion. Very solid structure to the songs. Dave hasn't pulled any punches in exactly what his lyrics reflect on this album so if political leanings bother you, this album may be a turn off. But the music is too spectacular to pass up, so just ignore the lyrics if that's your your bag baby! Lol.

Primary reason of purchase was for the extra tracks included on the CD. The Virtual Googles (essentially Google Cardboard with better artwork) are a plus but wasn't a deciding factor for the purchase. However I did mess around with them and found the idea innovative. If you're a long time Megadeth fan (i.e. from the 80's) you'll appreciate this album.

Medadeths new cd Dystopia - deluxe package - comes with google cardboard virtual reality glasses, only a few bucks more than the plain cd at 16.99. VR Glasses actually work pretty good w my galaxy s5, just not the most comfortable thing to wear, my first VR experience actually, but it works quite well, you move around while Dave & co. play on stage, full 360° immersion! so VR is a thumbsup and most of the songs are pretty decent too, still letting it grow on me....

After Megadeth's last release, I never thought that they would come back with an album as great as Dystopia. This album hooked me upon the first listen. In fact, this is their best album in quite some time. This will not disappoint long-term Megadeth fans like myself. Give it a sample and you'll see what I mean.

Megadeth has always been a great band. One of my faves! This album is classic Megadeth and has great songs. I have not looked at or interacted with the VR goggles yet as I am busy listening to the album so much! Good quality on the goggles...thick cardboard material. Can't wait to take a look at what they have!

well packaged exclusive set for best buy. actually had to buy another because i liked the first one so much. this did need to list compatibility on the box for use with the virtual reality goggles. my personal cell is too old to be able to handle the tech (maybe I should take less care of my stuff).

Not only do you get a great cd from megadeth, it comes with a revolutionary virtual reality goggles to watch 5 live videos and get a 360' view of the band. Just download the app on any smartphone and enter a virtual reality dystopian world featuring megadeth. Hopefully more bands will do the same.

What can said about the courage, wisdom, and talent of Dave Mustaine that fans don't already know. If it's Megedeth, It's gonna be worth your money, and Dystopia does not disappoint. Dave's voice is more of a growl now but I never minded it and his guitar work is still on point.

WOW! This CD is ripping! Megadeth haven't sounded this aggressive since 'Rust In Peace'. Every track on this CD is keeper. There is not a single throwaway track here. I haven't fully decided yet, but this might end up being my favorite Megadeth release of all. Way to go guys!

Great album. Mix of old megadeth with some modern touches. New guitarist Kiko brings musicality that Broderick never did. Chris Adler brings intensity missing from the last few albums. The songwriting is more inspired than the last few albums. Not quite 80's/90's but close.

MEGADETH has always been at the forefront of technology in music & this album may be well remembered for causing the future VR music industry. That & it's another monster record from one of metal's fondest fathers. Definitely a step-up from Super Collider.
