Guilty pleasure, just can't get enough of this album. If you can find a copy of Emotion side B I'd highly recommend to accompany this.

i have not stopped listening to this since i got it! a far better, more unified album than 'kiss', very 1980's-influenced.

Carly Rae has has left her previous self in the dust, but somehow it's gone unnoticed. "Call Me Maybe" was a great tune, but she has gone and made some of the best 80's synthpop/funk/chillwave music, a sound that is really popular right now with HAIM, Tegan and Sara, and Taylor Swift among the people vibing on in. I'd say 'emotion' is far better than 1989, and as good or better than 'days are gone', and gives 'heartthrob' a run for its money. There's even a track on here that recalls to me 'mr telephone man' by new edition. This should have won something, or at least been more popular. But to those who discover it, it's a real gem.
