Customers regard the exercise component of the product with mixed feelings. Some found the workouts slow-paced and not engaging, with difficulties following along with the on-screen instructions. Others felt the focus on conditioning and resistance band exercises was limiting and unsuitable for all users. The product's suitability for children was also questioned.

My friend's kid loves football and wanted to train like an NFL player. This was a great option for a video game

Great graphics and selection of teams/stadiums to work out in. Creative ideas on keeping you motivated to work out. If you keep in mind that this product is designed as a work out tool and not a gamming entertainment tool, you will get the most out of this product. There are some issues with consistency with the tracking but, it doesn't stop you from the desired result (working out). It can be annoying! Overall, it's a fun tool to get some new work outs. For a discounted price, it's worth trying. If you don't like it, you can take it back.

Kicks your butt, but I see now why it's on sale.

I bought this game to hopefully light a fire under me and get myself back into shape. So far so good. I feel a lot more energetic. For the most part the game has worked properly, but lately it's become more of a challenge to complete all the workouts due to the peripherals not communicating properly with the game. I don't know if this is a common occurence amongst users, but it can really make a workout frustrating to have to stop and restart just so the "trainer" will stop barking at you. I will usually just finish the exercise and "skip" it..but it really kills your numbers by doing so. Very disappointed.

Exactly What It Says It Is

For the people who say it's a waste of money, next time look at the product before you buy it. This is exactly what it says it is. It isn't a football game. It is a workout game that uses the workouts found in NFL Training Camps.
It's a Wii fitness game that will make guys feel less uncomfortable using it. It's fun and full of unique football workouts (QB drills, WR drills, LB drills, etc). It monitors your heart rate and your calories lost throughout the workouts.
If you want a "more fun" workout game, this is it! Don't be scared by the people who gave it 1 star thinking it was a football game. If you want a game where you play football, buy Madden. If you want a workout game that is geared towards football workouts (or just not Yoga oriented), this game is perfect.
BTW, DON'T buy this for a kid. What kid wants to workout? Let kids play to get their exercise.
I was skeptical at first, but so far it's better than I thought it would be.

Exercise for the NFL fan

You have to view this game for what it is: An exercise game for the avid NFL football fan. As an exercise game, it is average. If you're an NFL fan and looking to exercise, this is the game for you. Otherwise, look at other options not tied to a professional sport.

I bought this for my 10 yr old son for christmas thinking it'll give him a football experience. He just got done playing it and to my dissapointment it's nothing but a $100 workout video. If you're an adult you're better off buying real quality workout videos. I don't even think an adult would enjoy this game. It's gives you slow pace 30 min workouts which 10 minutes of it is step by step instructions. You get to track what you eat and daily activities to see how much calorie you burn which I don't think my son will enjoy. If this gave you the full football experience it would be really cool. Otherwise it's lame.

After a month you will regret this purchse!!

I bought this game and loved it at first. It works great for the first month, then none of the periphials work. It keeps telling me to hold still. I set the motion detector on a chair and it told the chair to hold still. I contacted EA and they offer a 90 day REPLACEMENT warranty. Best buy only offers 30 days to replace the original package. If you buy it, you do not have enough time to get the replacement to return it. Just save yourself the hassle and not buy it. I promise you, you will regret it after a month of owning it.

A decent challenge- Workouts for Men

I've gotten a ton of workout games for the Wii since they became available. Right now, I'm halfway through the 60 day challenge and have had a lot of fun with the game so far. As a few people have said, this is not an all-football game/drills. These are exercises done by football players (see foot fires, conditioning circuits with ladders, etc.)- but it's primarily a workout game. I wouldn't recommend this for kids as it's primarily focused on conditioning and toning/resistance band exercises.

Very disappointing

This game is nothing like I expected. Very boring and half of the time I can not get the exercises to work on the screen so I have to skip them, which in turn gives you a poor rating. Very disappointing game.

Fun workout with NFL twist

This workout video has an impressive variety of exercises that you do along with an NFL player. You pick different stadiums to work out in which assigns different players. The exercises are fun, and many are dedicated to skills based on football position. Navigation is relatively easy, and it does not take much time to get started. Besides pre-determined routines the user can create their own. This video has made exercising fun!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son. He was able to play it for about 10 minutes and then it would no longer detect the arm and leg sensors. We tried everything from rebooting the Wii, unplugging everything, etc. nothing has worked. Unfortunately, if it doesn't detect the sensors then the game cannot proceed - there is no way to bypass it. I am in the process of taking the steps to return this game. My recommendation is don't buy it.
