    EXCELEENT CARDIO!!!

I read many reviews before buying the game and I was not disappointed. I agree with many reviews, its very easy to use and actually gets the heart rate up. I was sweating so hard after my first workout. The game is like a home gym. Although it doesnt replace the gym in terms of strength exercises, it definitely is great at cardio and getting you to move!

I bought the Active Personal Trainer today and used it today. The setup was very easy and I chose the pre-programmed 30 day schedule. I started off on "easy" and by the end of the workout I was sweating pretty good. I loved the kick/boxing training so much I went ahead and setup my own workout routine with just those excercises. By the end of that routine I was wiped out. The best part was the quick transition between exercises and not having to think about what you want to do next. My only dissapointment was that I thought the resistance band didn't give a whole lot of resistance. I guess it will be easier to feel the burn quicker once I increase the level from "easy" to "medium" then to "hard." I did not have any problems with the leg band but if it's not on tight it would slip off with all the movement (common sense). Also, it doesn't give your BMI or weight like the Fit but then my Fit never got it correct anyways. However, it does keep track of your time exercising and calories burned and keeps it in a journal. If you have the Fit let the kids have it and get the Active for yourself!

I have had the Wii fit for a while and found it to be too choppy in the workout. You always had to pick something, do it, go back, pick something else, do it. Not with EA Active, this is great. I am not a huge exercise buff and so I needed something that keeps it real and interesting but moving along so I don't get bored. This is it! My husband got it for me for Mother's Day because he heard me talking about it and I am liking it a lot. My 5 year old was working out with me (he thinks the inline skating is cool!). My biggest con is one I found out the hard way. I had gotten up before work and was going to do a work out but ran out of time and did not finish, I lost my progress and did not get credit for what I had done. I guess that is made to encourage you to finish but I was bummed that I did not get any credit for what I had done. I am getting up earlier tomorrow morning so I don't lose out and can finish.

    This game is awesome!

This "game" is the best out of all the workout games that I own. I have Wii Fit, My Fitness Coach, and this one. This is by far the most fun and challenging. For anyone who says that the game does not register movements, all you have to do is make sure you are holding the controls correctly. They even TELL YOU how to properly hold the controllers. The people who are not able to register movements are probably the people who DID NOT watch the instructional videos BEFORE they did the exercises. Trust me, if you are holding the controllers PROPERLY, your movement will be registered everytime. Also make sure that the nunchuck is facing DOWN in the leg strap... and that the leg strap is high enough up on your leg so that it can track your movement. If you have it on too low, it will not work properly. SO basically to everyone having trouble... make sure your equiptment is ON and working properly!

It's everything I thought the Wii Fit would be. You can use the balance board with it, but I didn't even use it for the first week and didn't notice. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to add some activity to their life in the comfort of their own home.

I highly recommend this game. Not only can you have fun with friends and family on a split screen but you get an awesome workout. I have done many other workouts for 45 minutes to an hour and very little sweat. This game had me sweating as if though I had just done a marathon and I only worked out for 27 minutes. I love the fact that you can track your calories burned and journal all of your workouts. I started the 30 day challenge last night on medium intensity. I felt every muscle in my body at work. I will be going today to cancel my gym membership. As a stay at home mom it is very hard to wait until my son falls asleep and then drive to gym just to do cardio. By the time I get there the personal training is not available. With this video your Personal trainer is there for you at any time. I have already called family and friends this morning to let them know about this game.

So far, with the EA Sports Active for Wii, I am motivated to workout. What I like most is the variety... there are about 20 or so preset workouts that can be modified before doing them. Plus, a user can also create custom workouts. I have created workouts catered only to a specific sport to work on those skills, and I have also created some custom stress burners (punching bags!!). Motivation is a big factor for me, and so far, I am motivated to do this workout because the game tracks progress and gives progress awards (trophies) along the way. The "personal trainer" gives motivation along the way, but even that feature can be shut off if you grow tired of it. If I could change ONE thing, it would be the ability to create more than five profiles. I have six people in my family. But other than that, it's a great find!

I bought the EA Sports Active personal trainer in an attempt to stick to a New Year's resolution. Thankfully, it has worked! I have read that people have a difficult time getting the game to register their movement. I have found that when that happens, it is my own fault for not following the directions properly. There are videos for each exercise that show and tell you exactly what you need to do. The resistance band is weak and I ended up breaking mine after 6 weeks, but I liked having a weak band to start out with. I think that I would have gotten frustrated starting out with a stronger band. I have lost fat and gained muscle using this product and have recommended it to my friends. It is cheaper than a gym membership and easier to motivate myself to do than driving to the gym.

I looked around for a a good workout game for my wii and decided on this one. I am very happy with my choice. It has customized workouts for you at 3 different levels of difficulty. So if you are a beginner there is an easy level or if you work out a lot there is a hard level. There is also a medium level if you are in between. You can also make your own workout by choosing from TONS of different activities they have such as boxing, squats, or baseball. They have a journal for you to fill out every day which helps with your workout. They make sure you are also living a healthy lifestyle (drinking a lot of water, eating your vegetables ect.) Trust me if you get this game you will not regret it. You get a serious work out! After one day of using it my legs were hurting the next day! But it was worth it!

My husband bought me this as a Christmas gift in an attempt to rejuvinate my work outs. I was actually a little disappointed as I usually don't play video games. However, I read the reviews an decided against taking it back. I'm so glad I didn't return it. This is the best workout I've had in a long time! I'd previously "worked out" using the WII Fit and balance board and barely broke a sweat BUT EA Active had me sweating bullets within minutes. I love that you can customize the workouts or do preset workouts. I've only been using the game for 2 weeks and I'm beginning to see a difference in my body already. This is insane! The only thing that I don't like is that the WII remotes aren't wireless but that's not EA's fault. And also, the remote sometimes has a hard time reading your position.

This is a fun fun game that will make you sweat and keep you attention at the same time. This is what makes it easier to lose weight. The first week was difficult and i was sore but i kept going because it kept my interest. Months later i'm still doing it and feeling great. Fun exercises that don't get old! It's also set up in a way where one cannot cheat the game to get through the exercises. So needless to say it makes you work for it. Don't worry if you don't have to Wii Fit balance board because the absence of it doesn't limit you at all. You can do everything without it. In fact the balance board kinda makes it difficult during some exercises because of the feeling you get when on it like you may fall off or feel unstable. Eliminate it and get to being active!

Overall, Active is one of the best games I have ever owned. I was in between of buying this or My Fitness Coach and I was persuaded by the Sales Associate to buy Active. I'm so glad I did. The range of exercises is great from variety to level of difficulty. The trainers say motivating things & when you are slacking on the exercises, they let you know. You can also make your own custom workout that includes any & everything you want. I started my 30 day challenge yesterday and cant wait to go back home and play again. Its a game but trust me, you will get sweaty and you WILL get a workout. My body is definitely feeling the affects of the workout from yesterday. If you are on the edge of buying this, I say DO IT! Great Investment!!!

I really am enjoying this product! You get a great workout and when doing the 30-day challenge they mix up the days so that some days you work on upper body and other days you are doing squats until your eyes want to pop out! I would suggest that you have two of the nunchuks and leave the one in the leg strap and tuck the end of the cord in the band or shorts pocket. The pouch is a tight fit and, maybe it is just me, but getting it in and out is kind of a pain as you seem to go back and forth often. I have found it easy to use a second one and just unplug and swap out. Your mileage may vary. Overall, makes great use of the Wii's capabilities! You will sweat, guaranteed!

    Good workout using Wii

This has given me (age over 55) a good workout with "trophies", a trainer, etc. I work up a sweat and sometimes talk back to the trainer when she says "let's get our heartrate up" and mine already is. My daughter (age 24) feels there should be a tougher (as in not as nice) trainer. I like the variety of types of workouts (waling, running, lunges, use of resistance bands, inline skating, dancing, boxing, tennis, etc.) and the ability to create custom workouts doing activities that I really like in addition to the standard workouts. When using the 30 day plan, there is good variety of exercising different muscle groups on different days. It's never a dull workout.

I'm not overweight and I'm a pretty active person, but this game did give me a serious workout, even on the 20 minute easy routine. I thought, 'honestly, how hard could it possibly be?" And really, it wasn't 'hard,' it just really makes you focus on your follow-through. It's easy to start slacking once you get a little tired but the game totally calls you on it. I haven't gone through all of the routines, obviously, but there seem to be quite a variety, which is nice! It was definitely engaging enough that I could see myself sticking with it and looking forward to making time for a more rigid exercise routine.

I bought the program a couple weeks ago and have been using it at least 4 days a week. I'm currently doing the 30 day challenge and have already seen results! This program is fun because it mixes it up and challenges you. I also like that the program alternates the workouts for you. But you can choose them yourself if you want something different. The inline skating requires more timing then it tells you. You have to jump on the green to do the tricks. And the fast kick ups are so difficult just because of the pace. BUT it gets your heart pumping. Over all, a great program, I would recommend it!

I absolutely love this game. It really gets you involved the minute you put the game in. You get to answer some questions, and it helps to pick the workouts that will help you get in the best shape. I honestly feel like there is a personal coach guiding me because after a workout, he will give you a review of how everything went, what you did great on, and what you can improve on. THIS GAME WILL HAVE YOU WORKING UP A SWEAT! If you are debating between this and WiiFit, WiiFit focuses more on aerobics and flexability. If you want to get in better shape, this is what you need.

My daughter and I both worked out with this choosing two different workouts on Easy mode; I felt like I was going to buckle over considering that I was working my leg muscles (Lower body and Lung - Easy routine) to hard. I definitely felt it and the muscles were actually sore and fatigued afterwards. This is a great workout and I use it in conjunction with My Fitness Coach. The only downside is that it doesn't incorporate an Ab routine or Stretching; although, you do work your Abs with other excerises and sports like Tennis, Volleyball, Batting, and etc.
