    Great Workout

I bought this product one week ago. Since then I have started the 30 day challange and have worked out 4 times (you really only work out 20 of the 30 days, they plan for rest days.) I have already had people ask me if I'm losing weight. It does everything from running to inline skating to boxing and lunges. I break a sweat every time I use it. I think it is much better then my Wii Fit, on that I had to rely on myself to come up with a work out routine. With my Active it already has them all planned out for me with no two days the same so I don't get bored. The exercises only last 1-2 minutes each so you arn't doing the same thing for 20 minutes straight. I love it and would recommend it to anyone, young or old!

    Good Workout

I bought this to use in the winter since I don't like to run in the cold. This is a very good workout. My only complaint is that you can be following your trainer to a "T" and she does not sense it and keeps wanting you to repeat what you just did. This only happens on certain exercises.

    Awesome Fun Exercise

I hate to exercise as much as most people but exercising like this is SOO much better than going to the gym or follow tv workouts. EA Active makes it more like a game and makes it fun. The big thing for me is that its helping me to get the discipline I need when it comes to exercises. It gives you enough to get your heart pumping with out going on to long and burning you out too soon. You can always add more to your routine to keep it going. I'm over half way through my first 30 day challenge and im not quitting! After watching what I eat the last month and exercising the last couple of weeks, Im already feeling a difference in how my jeans fit! Now THATS motivation!

    Having second thoughts...

I have had this product for one week and have done the 30-Day challenge religiously. However, today I bumped up the intensity level, and the Wii would not recognize the movements. After watching the promotional videos, and seeing 200+ lbs people, I felt hopeful that there was a product out there that would help me with my weight loss goals from the comfort of my home rather than going to a gym where people were constanly making fat jokes to my face. I am currently disappointed with the program, but will keep at it and give it the full 30 days, but I eagery await the expansion pack that EA Sports said would be available during the holiday season. Hopefully the expansion pack will have much more variety, and the programing will register the controllers movements much better than they do now.

The active work out is fun and you can work out with a friend. It also adds work out games like tennis, baseball or boxing in between the sqats or the lunges etc. makes for a fun workout.

I really like the idea of not having to go to the gym.. My husband and I have two small kids, and this game makes keeping fit a lot easier.. The resistance band seems flimsy at first, but you forget about that and realize that it is decent once you begin the workouts.

This is a great way to get in shape. The 30 day challenge works your entire body, with enough variety to keep interest. The rest day after two workout days is well received.

The Wii Active will give you a great work out! I had not worked out in years, but once I started with the easy 20 min exercises, I stayed motivated the whole time. Im addicted to it now. It's funny that I look forward to going home to work out. Best of all I don’t have to go to the gym and still get the same type of exercise in the comfort of my own home. It fits perfect into my busy work schedule. Just 20 min! Who knew it would make such a difference. I feel more energized and in just 2 weeks I can tell my clothes are fitting a bit loose. My next goal will be to take the 30 day challenge.

    TAKE NOTE!

This game was supposed to be greatest thing since the fit at half the cost, Instead it's a head ache and a frustration to deal with. The leg band slides down your leg during vigorous activity and the you have to stop what your doing, pause the game , replace it, and then maybe you get another 5 minutes before it happens again. The game also does a bad job at detecting your movements a thus adding to the frustration. All in all you do get a good work out from this game (even if it is in anger management)

My husband got this game for himself and I was hesitant to use it but once I did, I just had to stick with it. I am doing the 30 day challenge and love it. THe workouts can be as long or as short as you want them to be and I hope to continue to improve each workout. The trainer is motivating but can be a bit too much at times. This is not intended to be for the intense workouts that you get at the gym, but more as a supplement. If you are new to working out or not into hard core work out, I think this is game for you.

    Caution

After reading all of the rave reviews, I decided to pick up a copy. I found myself disappointed. The game gives you a variety of activities to choose from. You have the ability to customize your workout or select one of the presets. A lot of times, however, it does not pick up your movements. Another gripe, there's no scoring system for the various activities like you will find in Wii Fit, other than the number of calories burned. It's certainly not a game for the competitive type.

    EA Sports Wii

The variety of the workouts is nice, and the calendar tells you when to take have a day of rest. I selected the highest level workout, but I think it could have been more intense than it was. I was sweaty, but I get much more sweaty at the gym. The nunchuck cord smacks me in the face while doing over head exercises. The system didn't always recognize when I changed positions, the remote had to be in a precise position, or I had to shake it for it to recognize that I had moved. The "encouraging" statements from the trainer get to be a bit much, like "right on". Who speaks like that? Also, the rate of the reps is not always consistent, so if I anticipate the start of a rep, the system tells me to stay still.
