I got this album to complete my collection. Not really digging Mansons newer style. Its more radio rock than his earlier material. If you like his older stuff, you may not enjoy this Cd all that much.

Not What I Was Expecting

Thankfully, we all like different things so I know there will be people out there that will love this album. But for me, it was very slow going when compared with "Golden Age..."
Okay, blah, blah "you can't compare this release with the previous albums." Well, if I didn't then I would have had to give it fewer stars. I know Manson can create some killer music, but this didn't seem to have that angry edge as before. Maybe he wrote this through heart shaped glasses (groan).
"Mutilation..." and "You and Me..." picked up the pace toward the end, but by then I had already made up my mind and two tracks weren't going to save the album for me.
Manson is very creative, very talented and very intelligent which is why I was surprised he released this album.

Best Album Thus Far...despite what others say

This album, though much different in terms of vocal levels and style, still has the lyrical nature we are all acustom to hear from Manson. As heard through the grape vine Manson went through some difficult times after his divorce, and thus explaining the larger gap between this and his last album, along with the difference in song styling. This album is about the end of his marriage and the aftermath.
This new release like those of other artists such as Rob Zombie shows the capability of the band around the singer. There are amazing solos and long intrumental sections of the songs that rarely appeared in Manson's previous songs. Though the new style may not appeal to everyone it has multiple powerful attributes. Anyone who is a Manson fan should purchase this album.
Thanks for reading the review.

I personally believe that Eat Me Drink Me is quite a strong and solid album, I do not understand why this album gets such a bad wrap by critics and fans alike, a lot of them regard this album as his worst album. I really do not understand that. The first track ( almost 6 minutes) really allures the listener into the album in my opinion by the dark environment and catchy chorus. The best songs on the album are If I was your vampire, Red Carpet Grave, Putting holes in happiness and evidence. If you want MM to be rock oriented than this is the album for you, this album by far also has the best guitar solos. Pick this album up and see how great this album really is.

ok, ive met the man and this is the most personable album hes made. if u dont like it then u didnt hear his messages he put into this album. he got divorced so of course theres gunna be sum stuff that reflects on that. he talks about a number of things on this album. this is what the romantic manson sounds like. its supposed to sound like a romace cd because "If I Was Your Vampire" is one of the most romantic songs in the history. I believe he finally showed his deepest sincere form of himself on this album and at times its tear wrenching. GET IT!

I was very excited when this album dropped, i am a long time manson fan but this album was worst album i bought in 2007, plain and simple, its boring, but the lyrics are more creative other than that not much going on here, skip this manson cd and pick some earier work.

I bought it because it bore Manson's name. I generally expect quality from the man, but this was a complete letdown. Keep in mind I like some of his slower stuff, but this was ridiculous. His lyrics are self-loathing and, at times, downright immature. I found the music rather minimalistic, I know this was supposed to be a true Goth album and all but this is ridiculous. If you want something in that vein, that's done right grab a Sisters of Mercy album. After hearing this abomination it makes me thrilled in so many ways that Twiggy Ramirez is now back in fold. Thus, if their work history together is any measuring stick, some of the band's greatest work is right around the corner.
