I've used this scale for about 6 weeks now, and must say it has performed very well. I use it primarily for weighing food and monitoring my diet, but it's also very handy for mail and other odd jobs. Very accurate, within a gram I'd say. The Tare function is really great. Only complaint is the position of the digital readout when using a dinner plate - makes it hard to see. However, overall I'm very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to dieters.

I weigh my food, and it has been really hard for me to find a food scale. I had one that I liked a few years ago but I broke it by dropping it, and since then I was using a postal scale that I had since I couldn't find a decent replacement. This scale is a bit smaller than what I thought it would look like, even though I read the reviews here first. Sometimes that happens. So this scale is just under 6" wide, 8-1/2" long, and 1-1/2" high. The one thing I would like that this scale doesn't have is a way to pull out the digital display if you have a plate on top of the scale, you can't see the measurement. One good thing about this thing is it doesn't make beeping sounds upon turning on. I like quiet things. What I like about this scale is that you can switch the type of measurement, pounds, ounces, grams, kilograms. Things like protein powder seem to be weighed in grams, whereas a portion of chicken breast is easier for me to measure in ounces. So I love that. It does not measure in in between measurements for grams; so you would get 2 grams, then 3 grams, not 2.5 grams. Of course the tare button is a must have when shopping for a food scale, and this has one. This way you can zero out the bowl or whatever and weigh out the food/item without having to subtract anything yourself. The only thing that is annoying to me about this scale is that it can be difficult to turn off. It will eventually turn off by itself if you just leave it, but you have to press the button to get it to go off if you want to save your batteries, and it can take several pokes to get it to do so. Not a huge deal though. For the price, I think this is a great food scale and I recommend it.

Sleek design, low profile that doesn't take up much counter or cupboard space. Easy to use. Many applications from weighing food to calculating weights for shipping on small items. Can adjust to metric also. Great.

A nice size for the kitchen. Seems to be quite accurate. I tested it with an ounce of water. Tare function works well. A bit hard to get big items on it and still read the display, but that is to be expected with a smaller unit.

I have used another digital scale for years, mostly for baking. The problem was its capacity, 4.4 pounds or 2 kilograms, not as high capacity as I wanted or can use. This new scale has a capacity of 11 pounds or 5 kilograms. The first time I used it, I was able to "piggyback" weighing ingredients by weighing one ingredient, then press the tare button to reset it to zero and continuing with the next ingredient, and on until every ingredient was weighed. It was very quick and easy. I'm happy with my purchase.

Best option of this scale is that you can change measurement gr/oz/kg/lb. Very light and compact

A nice kitchen scale that measures in whole grams, kilograms (thousandths, in 0.001 increments), ounces (hundredths, in 0.05 increments), and pounds (thousandths, in 0.002 increments). It's great for taking the guesswork out of portions and provides better accuracy and consistency in recipes.

I was comparing to Cuisinart - PerfectWeight Digital Kitchen Scale which definitely feels better made, but this is just as accurate at almost half the price. The Cuisinart - PerfectWeight Digital Kitchen Scale, also shuts off too quickly if you are gradually adding to the weight.

Simply said, this is an inexpensive and accurate scale. Meets my needs for a modest price.

I find this to be very accurate (tested it with weights) and the fact it automatically accounts for the weight of the container you place on the scale before putting the food in, makes it much easier to calculate the weight of the food.
