Replaced my SCHWINN IC4 that was terrible... This bike is amazing, easy to adjust and its recommended for tall people as you can get your adjustment perfectly.

Great bike, but fit adjustability is limited

I am a cheapskate so there was little chance of my ever buying the market-leading spin bike whose name begins with P, though I do use this bike primarily with the P classes using their digital app. At the time of writing this review I've had the bike for about 2 months and put around 40 rides on it. I have experienced zero tech problems, including the Bluetooth dropouts that some users have reported. My only complaint is that I cannot achieve a good fit and position on the bike - the reach to the handlebars is too long for me due to a combination of long legs and a somewhat short torso. By raising the seat high enough to achieve appropriate leg extension, the seat also moves farther backward away from the handlebars. Dropping the handlebars can them closer to the seat, but then my upper body is in a weird low-hunched posture that creates different kinds of discomfort. I purchased this Echelon model specifically because both the seat and the handlebars have fore-aft adjustability, but it turns out that the adjustability is all in the wrong direction (great if you are a giant with a super-long torso, though!) and insufficient to give me a comfortable upper body and arm position. For perspective I am 5'7" (so not a tiny person) and I actually have long arms for my size (sleeves on blouses and jackets are often too short). I used to cycle competitively so I know all about fitting bikes to my body. My reason for writing this review is to let prospective buyers know that while the bike offers quite a bit of adjustability, if you are built like me it may not work for you - I definitely recommend trying it before buying if you can. Or buying it from someplace you can return it to without disassembling it! I was really really hoping to find some kind of aftermarket handlebar extender such as those made for the P bike, but I haven't seen any so I guess I'll need to MacGyver something.

Worst purchase. Price has dropped $1000. I could have gotten the bike with the monitor for much less if I had waited. My iPad broke shortly after purchase and now I don’t have a way to watch classes. Do not buy this bike.

    Uncomfortable for T-rex arms

Hurt myself on the level knob. If you have t-rex arms this will be uncomfortable too. But I guess excercise bikes are not supposed to be comfortable.

Apologies for this happening. The bike does have adjustments to make it suit more to your comfort. You can check out our Youtube page Echelon Fit on how to adjust. Echelon
