Customer Ratings & Reviews

The ecobee thermostat is easy to use. I have better control over the temperature in my house based on that I am home, asleep, or away from home. This will help me save in the total cost of my electric bill. I can control the thermostat with my phone, I like that very much. It is connected to my HomeKit from Apple. I can talk to it using Siri. It can detect if I’m away from home. I am contracted with Duke energy so that they can operate more efficiently delivering energy to all homes during periods of high consumption, in the process I get a credit every year $50. The first year after two months of using the smart thermostat, I will receive $150 credit. Every little bit helps! Prior to getting the ecobee, I was a prisoner of having to manually set my thermostat in this limited my ability to save money and also to better set my household up for a comfortable living space. I had no idea how the thermostat would look once it was installed, the person I paid to install the thermostat thought it might look nice without the base plate that came with the thermostat, and he was right! I really like it a lot! I know a lot of people install this themselves in. I’ve heard that it was a fairly easy install, but I am 69 years old and I’m finally more difficult too task myself with doing things like this. The gentleman, installing this explained what he was doing, the set up, it was based on the type/brand of HVAC (heat pump) I was using. I would not have known that if I’ve done this on my own. I would just suggest having someone experience and install it if you are like I am. My brothers could’ve done it, but not me. It did not take long to install the thermostat, once started. I looked at all of the different brands of thermostats, and I liked ecobee a lot in this particular model works with Apple HomeKit, which I liked. The only thing I am upset about with this unit, is that I did not bite the bullet sooner and purchase this. I waited too long! I’m very happy!

I bought the Ecobee thermostat with one sensor from Best Buy, and it has been a complete game changer for our home. It comes with one room sensor, and I decided to place it in my kids’ bedroom because their comfort is my top priority. My bedroom is right next to theirs, so once their room reached the perfect temperature, my room also became comfortable. Now both rooms feel just right at night. The biggest surprise was how easy it was to install. I’m not very handy at all, but I installed it myself without any problems. If I can do it, anybody can do it. The setup was straightforward and much easier than I expected. After installing it, the comfort difference is very noticeable. The temperature control is much better than before, and we are very satisfied with the results. I highly recommend it.

The ecobee Premium Smart Thermostat has been an outstanding upgrade for my home. The touchscreen is bright, responsive, and easy to navigate, and the installation process was straightforward. I especially like how seamlessly it works with Apple HomeKit and Siri giving me the flexibility to control my home’s temperature from my phone or with simple voice commands. The thermostat keeps my home comfortable while helping reduce energy usage by automatically adjusting to my schedule. The built-in air quality monitor and room sensor are great additions that make it feel much smarter than a standard thermostat. The app is intuitive, reliable, and makes it easy to make changes even when I’m away from home. Overall, this is a premium product with excellent smart home integration, a sleek design, and features that genuinely improve comfort and convenience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality smart thermostat.

Incredible unit. Easy to operate, stylish, pretty. Wifi is a dream come true for operation and convenience. Cannot go wrong with this purchase!!!

Love this thermostat! Sleek design and easy to use. We love having the ability to adjust the temperature in our home from anywhere!

Switching to ecobee has been such a pleasant experience. Coming from the Nest ecosystem has been a welcome change. I really love the interface on this thermostat. It’s easy to adjust the temperature and the screen is big and bright. I especially like that it has integrated smart assistants for whatever ecosystem you have. I will say that one downer that I discovered after purchasing is that you WILL NOT get the interactive doorbell screen unless you already have an ecobee doorbell. While that makes complete sense now, I automatically assumed that it would function like an Amazon Echo as there is Alexa integration. I was very wrong. It doesn’t diminish the product in any way. I just had expectations that were dashed because I didn’t research before buying. So, if that feature is appealing to you, just know that you have to already have an ecobee doorbell. The sensor was super easy to set up. It comes pre-paired so I had no trouble at all. It basically captures the temperature of the rooms you have them placed in and sets the average on the main thermostat. So, while the immediate location of the thermostat may actually be 65 degrees, it will show the average of all temperatures in the home, which could be 68. So, while this is very effective at keeping the AC on until specific rooms are at a target temperature, you can have cold spots in your home. Not a big deal to us so we are happy with the performance. Overall, this is a fantastic device that has excellent build quality. The screen is glass so it will break if dropped or bumped. I actually dropped mine and caught it with my food, but it barely hit the baseboard and left a small chip. I reached out to ecobee and they actually sent me a new thermostat. They truly have excellent service. I honestly can’t recommend this enough if you are in the market. The whole product and software are fantastic. If you are on the fence, just get the ecobee. You won’t regret it.

The Ecobee Premium exceeded my expectations. Installation was smooth, the app is intuitive, and the touchscreen display is clean and responsive. It integrated seamlessly with my existing smart-home setup. What really sets this thermostat apart is how well it manages comfort. The included SmartSensor noticeably reduced temperature differences between rooms, and the system adjusts intelligently based on occupancy and schedule. I no longer have to constantly tweak the settings. The energy insights and eco features are genuinely useful not overwhelming and make it easy to optimize efficiency without sacrificing comfort. Built-in Alexa, air-quality monitoring, and voice control are thoughtful additions that actually add value. Overall, the Ecobee Premium feels like a well-engineered, high-quality product that does exactly what it promises. Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their home comfort system.

Great product, easy installation, voice/app control, Alexa integration the added sensors improve the temperature throughout the house + Eco settings if saving money is your priority. Highly recommend.

Very easy to install. At first, the reviews made it sound like it was very challenging to install. I found out after researching that if your house was older than 90’s it could be somewhat challenging but not impossible. The step that might be difficult for some is having a blue wire for constant power. A adapter is also given with purchase, just in case you don’t have that blue wire that runs from the furnace to your wall mount. If you do have to use the adapter, it’s very simple and the 4 wires needed are marked on adapter just so you are aware. So, this is a definite upgrade from what I had in my house. I had a somewhat older version where you could select times and dates. It was good but I wanted to be able to control the thermostat from my phone because of my schedule with work, family, etc. I’ve had it for almost a month now and I haven’t had a problem with it yet. The learning period of it was very simple and user friendly. What I also like about it is the fact I don’t have to replace batteries any longer. One thing to check into after purchasing this Ecobee, is the rebate through your electrical company. I have ComEd and I’m receiving a rebate in 4 weeks. All in all I’m happy with purchasing this one vs the Nest. I rented a house out that had the Nest and it was very similar but I really like the Ecobee more because it’s slightly bigger and it’s easier to read and work with. Plus the base mount that the Ecobee sets on covered my existing open box where the wires came out of. I’ll take a few pics to show. There is a few more things on the display but only able to add 6 pics.

I recently purchased the Ecobee thermostat from Best Buy, and it has quickly become an indispensable addition to my home. From its sleek design to its intuitive features, this thermostat has exceeded my expectations in every way. First and foremost, the Ecobee thermostat excels in its ability to optimize home comfort. Its smart sensors intelligently detect occupancy and adjust the temperature accordingly, ensuring that every room remains at the perfect temperature throughout the day. Furthermore, the Ecobee's compatibility with voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant adds a level of convenience that enhances the overall user experience. I can effortlessly adjust the temperature or check the weather forecast with simple voice commands, making it incredibly convenient to manage my home's climate. One feature that particularly impressed me is the Ecobee's energy-saving capabilities. Through its smart scheduling and usage insights, I've noticed a significant reduction in my energy consumption, leading to both cost savings and environmental benefits. Installation was a breeze, thanks to the straightforward instructions and compatibility with most HVAC systems. Additionally, the sleek design of the thermostat adds a modern touch to my home decor, further enhancing its appeal. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the Ecobee thermostat from Best Buy. Its combination of smart features, energy efficiency, and ease of use make it a standout product in the world of home automation. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their home's climate control system.

I purchased the Ecobee after owning Google Nests for years and I can say I prefer the Ecobee. The Homekit features are so nice to have after years of not having it with the Nest. The installation was extremely easy. I also purchased two additional sensors and it was a breeze to connect. I definitely recommend this product!

Ecobee delivers on all promised features, including a very user-friendly interface with easy-to-read numbers. Regulates temp of our house quickly and accurately to our preference. Planning to buy again as we move into new home. Not unimportantly, looks good on the wall!

I did a lot of research and landed on this one. It was fairly easy to install and has all the features I needed. Really like that it works with the Apple Home ecosystem. I even added the home security service to it and got ride of the overpriced SimpliSafe. I love the alerts it proves to stay on top of HVAC maintenance as well as big humidity. Also really love the additional sensors you can attach to balance out the temp across multiple rooms in your house. It’s made my upstairs bedrooms more comfortable and balanced.

This is my favorite new technology that I have purchased in years. It looks sleek and beautiful but my features are phenomenal. Being able to control our air conditioner from anywhere, turn it up or down before we get home from work, have everything automated, have them track the humidity in our home and let us know when it gets too high or too low, air quality, music coming from Ness, Siri works great with it etc. etc. This was more than worth the money.

Got 2 of these for my place. Super easy install, got it connected to my apple home with no issues. I prefer this one over googles thermostat.

The Ecobee Premium Smart Thermostat is incredibly easy to use, with a sleek touch-screen design that looks great in any home. I love how seamlessly it integrates with Alexa, making it super convenient to control. The smart features, like the mobile controls and energy-saving modes, really help lower utility bills without sacrificing comfort. Overall, it’s a top-notch thermostat that delivers on both performance and style, definitely worthy of a 5/5 rating.

Product was easy to install and setup. So far it has been an excellent product and the smart features are spectacular. The app is very useful when I am away from home. Looking forward to utilizing the features more as I become accustomed to the thermostat. Recommended highly.

We have been using the ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium for about 1 month now and love it. It replaced an old AprilAire programmable thermostat. Installation was pretty simple once I sorted out the wiring running to the old thermostat. I had an extra wire (3 extras actually) that the old thermostat did not use that I connected to 24V common on the furnace control center (which Bryant did a good job of hiding from plain view) to use as the "C" wire on the ecobee. If you don't have a "C" wire available, ecobee includes their Power Extender Kit (PEK) in the box that you can use as an alternative. With the old thermostat, the entire HVAC system ran based upon the temperature in our dining room (one of our least occupied rooms). With the ecobee system, we now have the thermostat in the dining room plus 3 additional SmartSensors (1 included, 2 purchased) in the basement, main floor and master bedroom. The system can either average the readings from all sensors or you can set it up to use any combination of sensors depending on your needs. For example, overnight the sensor in our master bedroom has full control over the HVAC system. However, I can still see readings from the other sensors. There is even a Follow Me mode that you can use. These sensors also include occupancy and freeze detection which I plan to use for additional automations in the future. I should also note that I actually spoke to my local Bryant HVAC contractor when trying to decide between the ecobee and Nest thermostats. The contractor stated that outside of the high-end Bryant Evolution Connex Control, they only install ecobee smart thermostats. There is actually an ecobee Smart Thermostats Powered by Bryant section on the Bryant website.

Just bought one of the best thermostat on the market. This thing does so much that even after you read the instructions its's not enough.
