I bought this after reading reviews and watching cnet review... the first one i received charges only up to 2 bars instead of five after following all instructions in manual., but it runs 20mph so im still a bit happy.I decided to get a replacement then bestbuy said i have to just return it and order a new one, which i did. Then after 5 days my order arrived, so excited. Wgen i tried charging it now it reaches only 4 bars, i was bewildered, maybe i was doing something wrong but i followed everything correctly.since i really wannt this scooter i said ill just let this issue pass and just enjoy the scooter, but then this time another issue came up, as i was trying the scooter the maximum speed was only 13mph compared to the first which was 20mphand as advertised. So i was really disappointed as this scooter has no standard at all.. i went back to bestbuy to return it within 3 days of receiveing the product then they gave me a store credit, not a refund of 956 dollars! The customer service said she is also surprised why the system gave me only store credit, we spoke to the store manager Tod who said he also cannot do anything about it and that we have to call the bestbuy hotline. .it was 3 weeks of calling and explaining until a guy named Adam from the corporate helped us and was able to process our refund. After going all through this i was really regretful of having been attracted to this substandard scooter. How i wish they gave us a non-defective unit the first time and ill definitely give this a five star..

I had it for 60 days and use it all the time, hands down best Electric Scooter for the money. I should have spent the extra $200 for the rear shock, riding in NYC can be bumpy. It is really well make and handles really solid.

To FLEOUR: Sorry about your poor experience. The M3's are typically shipped out with the speed limiter engaged to top out at 12mph. As an eco friendly company, their manuals are available digitally and it gives you step by step instructions on how to turn off the speed limiter or bring it down to top out at 8mph for kids are beginners. Your experience with your first scooter was just defective. Eco Reco has great customer service and should've been able to help you out directly. As a reseller, I wouldn't have expected Best Buy to know about the speed limiter issue on your second delivery. To date, the Eco Reco M3 is still the fastest 36v scooter with 6" wheels. It doesn't get more compact. Even the soon to be released Momas Carbon 36v tops out at 15mph on 5.5" wheels. Others like the CityBug2 from Brookstone top out at a pathetic 11mph while the Eco Reco M3 doesn't stop accelerating until it hits the low 20's. Specs show 20mph, but with smooth paved flat roads, you can hit 23mph if you're under 160lbs. TFL on YouTube can contest to that in his review. The Eco Reco products are solid. I'd consider 15mph scary and 20mph dangerous. If you're up at those speeds, you'll want something with some substantial weight so don't let the weight of the Eco Reco line shy you away. You may notice the width of the handlebars is much wider than most electric standup scooters. Though this may look goofy in proportion, it helps a lot with handling which you definitely want when you're cruising at high speeds. After a ton of research, (enough to know about the speed limiter thing), I decided on the Eco Reco S3 which is the newer version and replaces the M3. Though Glion has the cool trolley feature, I didn't like the look of it and with the sale price I got on the Eco Reco S3, I couldn't resist. A lot of people chose the ETwoW (now Uscooter) over the Eco Reco M3 b/c of the lower weight, but the new S3 is drastically lighter than the M3 and more competitive in that category. For efficiency, stability and handling, you don't want a front wheel drive scooter like the EtwoW anyway. Eco Reco is also local in the Bay Area and has many DIY how-to instructions on Youtube. It's great to have a company that has supporting resources showing you how to swap out new batteries, adjust the brakes, etc. You won't see that with any "competitor."
