This was my second robot vacuum after returning a DeeBot DeeBot 930 model. The T5 does everything I want and need in a vacuum. The App u I a great, packed full of features and easy to use. The WiFi setup was quick and easy . After fully charging fur 6 hours I set it off to map the house. It cleans while mapping and the accuracy is amazing ! The best thing about this vacuum is the batter capacity. The unit Napier and vacuumed about 2000 square feet without having to recharge . The vacuum suction is strong and you can set it even higher to Max or Max+. The mopping feature does an ok job and works best on my smooth laminate flooring , not so good on tiles, but I really did it get this product for mopping. For me , the mopping feature is just an added bonus.
The smart navigation is amazing on this unit. It gets every square inch and you can actually watch it in real time on the app. It has no problem moving over my different surfaces and no issues with my area rugs that have big dark borders around them. My previous vacuum has big problems with the rugs. The app lets you select the areas you want cleaned and you can block off areas with virtual boundaries.
When cleaning is done, you get a voice message saying cleaning is complete and the unit returns quickly back to the base .
I really live this vacuum and highly recommended it, well worth every penny.

Ecovacs - Best robot vac yet

Third and best robot vacuum we've owned. It's quieter than either the Roomba or Neato that we had before. The Roomba was stupid and would spend all day under the dining room table and would leave large areas uncleaned. The Neato would map the rooms, but it was loud and beat the heck out of our furniture. The Ecovacs is so much nicer. It's quiet enough that you can sit and watch tv while it runs. It efficiently maps the whole house and has enough battery life to clean our entire 2500 sq ft house on a single charge! Also, you can control it with a phone app.

Not only does it give you a precise cleaning with its mapping technology, but it out performs the others because it mops as well!
It does a great job on my tile floors and works seamlessly with the app for hands free control.
Best vac for the price hands down.

Lazer navigation let's it clean in dark, and I can set unlimited no go zones, and the best app compared to shark or irobot. Cleaning is good, light mopping too, navigation is the best

Better than the N79SE because it maps, of course you pay for that feature. The mopping function is a joke, though. As others have stated, all it really does is gloss over the floor with water. If you have oily footprints or paw prints like I had, you’re better off using a wet Swiffer. I would opt for the Deebot 711 if you want the mapping feature without the mop. Or the N79SE if you’re on a budget. It cleans just as good, just randomly.

This robot is smart! It can distinguish the hard floor and carpet precisely. It also has a very good memory. Just with one time use, it has already mapped and stored the floors of the whole house.
All of these can easily be set by App. It also has a good sensor to avoid falling down from stairs. When vacuuming, it strengthens its suction power on carpets; when mopping, it won't wet your carpet. It also clean the areas which you may not or cannot reach to clean, like under bedding or furniture

It’s covid times. We’re constantly making the house dirty. I am tired of dishes and cooking and floors and toilets. This thing LITERALLY gets my floors squeaky clean. Gets under most of my furniture too. I can’t believe I waited so long to get this. I Run it every other morning now when I wake up. We’re near the beach so there is always dropped sand among other things. I have already recommended it to most of my friends. Game changer.

Amazing! Charge it up, download the app, connect to wifi, and off it goes! You can watch it map out your house on your phone and it does a great job. I have a dog that sheds a lot so this is a lifesaver! It's also amazing how it finds a way to get every square inch of the house. It can even move doors a little to get behind them, then moves the door back before moving on. I love this robot! It vacuums and mops!

This is my second Deebot and the 1st with a built-in mop. It's amazing at what it does! The vacuum cleans up after 2 dogs that shed constantly without ever getting wrapped up. It does have difficulty with my barstool based, but not all the time. The mop, to be clear, is not a deep clean mop, think more like a Swiffer sweeper. It does the job nicely, especially in high traffic areas.

I am really pleased with my robot vacuum. Cleans everything thing up. The vacuum goes around the corners of the whole room then maps up the size in square foot. Then uses the map to clean not leaving a corner on done. The room is cleaned two times then it returns to the charge. The app is a must have it shows you real time location of the robot vacuum and ever place cleaned.

Great vacuum, but not so clever

This robot does a great job vacuuming. It is not that good at mopping and it has some controlling issues.
It picks up fine dust as well as larger sandy grains. There is traction on our hardwood floors and rubber soles started squeaking again! It is very clever how it maneuvers and gets on top of cleaning registers or carpet edges. Even when I don’t think there is a need for cleaning, it still fills the container with a ball of dust, mud and pet hair.
I expected that it would do some actual scrubbing when it mops, but that is not the case. Mopping still makes a noticeable difference getting rid of the finest layer of dust, but forget about stains.
I encountered a lot of annoying issues with the app and the controlling of the device. The worst is the management of maps. I have named my maps several times and also named the areas that were created on the map, which is useful when I want to start cleaning a room with the google assistant, a good feature, by the way. The app keeps forgetting the areas and the name of the map. Once they somehow got restored but it seems they are lost for good now. Maybe I have to go through the initial mapping again, but that takes hours. The cleaning route does not get updated unless you keep the app open. You need to exit the screen and select the robot again to see the updated route. It keeps forgetting changes that I make to restricted areas or it sometimes still tries to clean in those areas. Back when I still had the areas in my map, the cleaning was sometimes done not in the order I specified, which is annoying when trying to coordinate work in different areas. If I don’t start the robot from the charger, like after emptying the dust bin without returning the robot to the charger, it has a hard time finding the charger at the end of cleaning even though the charger’s location is marked on the map. How about trying there?
I also noticed that the vacuum discharges the air sideways, not upwards. Maybe it’s a design fault or maybe it is a necessity, but it is surely a problem with light pet hair. I watched a small ball of fur blown around without ever getting picked up as the machine was turning around it left and right always blowing the hair ball out of the cleaning path.

Loving our new robot vacuum and the app which allows me to setup different areas of the house as well as no-go zones. It syncs up with Alexa which is awesome. You can create multiple maps as well. This vacuum doesn’t bounce or goes in zip-zags and make sure it t covers all the areas. Glad, I made the purchase and bought it on sale.

The Great:
This is an incredibly powerful robot vacuum that really does clean better than my Roomba i7 did. It also uses laser mapping to get incredibly precise readings of the house. These are the main features that I enjoyed.
The Okay:
The mopping feature, while unique, simply wets floors. It pales in comparison to a stand-alone robot mop (which actually scrubs floors). The app isn’t the most refined, and can be slightly confusing if you’re coming from iRobot’s super simple app.
The Bad:
My home has a couple brown/black carpets and floors. This robot thinks that these floors and carpets lead to the abyss due to its anti-drop sensor. Most robots have this feature, but most can also distinguish carpet and floors from a drop such as stairs. Due to this, parts of my home go untouched. The robot also tends to get stuck easily, and frequently has random error messages. For example, “Anti-Drop sensor is covered in dust. Please clean.” Or “Driving Wheel Malfunction”. No matter the message, there was nothing actually wrong... the robot simply thought there was and would stop vacuuming. Despite the laser mapping (that I love), the robot tends to clean areas I had not selected. For example, I would set it to clean the kitchen and hallway (which are both clearly labeled and distinguishable on its map), yet it cleaned nearly the entire house. This happens nearly every time.
This is a powerful robot that has unique features, but unfortunately it’s brains simply aren’t sufficient for daily use unless monitored consistently.

Smart and Capable

The only reason I have to give it 4 stars is because I can't get Alexa or Google to recognize that I have a vacuum that is compatible with them, so no voice control... yet. Now onto everything else. However, when I got this to review it didn’t have an app in the Playstore, I had to download it from their site, but now it does so I’m guessing Alexa and Google integration are coming soon.
So, this is probably the most complicated and easiest to use vacuum I’ve ever opened. There are two side brushes that are color coded and a set of spares of those in the box. There is also the regular vacuum head brush that is smaller than most other brands and I as a little concerned at first. There are also 5 disposable mop covers and one reusable one along with the mop attachment. Last (besides the vacuum and instructions) there is a device that exchanges the brush for a direct air type vacuum. I've tried both.
I focused far more on the direct air vacuum and mop portion as that is what I was most excited about (along with the app)
Vacuum with brush:
The brush head and traditional vacuum part worked perfectly on carpet and it gave the straight lines I like versus others that bounce all over. As for the job it does, well, we don't have an actual traditional vacuum anymore, we have a battery powered lightweight one for the stairs, couches and sometimes the corners but no heavy duty vacuum as this does an awesome job and getting up dirt.
Mopping: We aren't getting rid of our steam mop, but that isn't close to the whole story. I've used a few different robot mops and this is by far my absolute favorite. First thing is that it can vacuum and mop at the same time which is a game changer. We used to run the vacuum robot then the mop robot. With one caveat, it will avoid carpet when the mop head is on, but for our first floor that is almost all 'engineered hardwood' (vinyl) it is perfect, I put the brushless vacuum head in and the mop on the back with some floor cleaner ( i couldn't find any material saying not to do this or to do it but I figured none foaming stuff would be fine and it hasn't had any issues so far and what is the point of a mop if it can't handle that) Then I let it go. The first time I did it I used a medium amount of water, the floors didn’t look wet but had a nice fresh smell to them. I finally settled on the ultra-high setting (which it warned the robot could slip but will still let you do it which I absolutely love) and it looks freshly mopped and smells wonderful, if you have old stains on the floor like if you forgot to pick up some lasagna pieces that dropped on the floor, it might not pick all of it up. But I wasn’t expecting that so I am happy, if you are expecting that, you might want to wait a few more years on the robot mops as they don’t have the ability to scrub yet. But it did a better job that I figured it would, it probably got 90% on the first go (and yes I let lasagna sauce and pieces sit on the floor overnight to test that theory, I even blocked it off so our puppy couldn’t get to it) That is another wonderful thing about the brushless vacuum, our old dog clogged up and destroyed a few robot vacuums. Not an issue with this one… sucks the hair right in without a complaint and without the hassle of cutting hair off the brush every couple of days ( or spending a ton on new brushes I suppose) So if you want your floors to smell nice every day or every other day this is a perfect mop, and will probably keep your floor clean to the point where you steam mop a whole lot less. As for the reservoir of water, on ultra-high it went through about ½ tank in a 614sqft area. Also, the battery had zero issue (our two-story house is 2700sqft, but with counters, couches, and such the first floor has less actual floor sqft and it had two thirds of the battery bar remaining, just for reference to your situation). Also, as a side note, it’ll run without the reservoir in the vacuum so if you just want to vacuum pull the reservoir out and let it go do its job.
The Robot/App:
So the robot it’s self is one of the smarter robots I’ve used, it seems to be able to avoid cords for the most part, so no sucking up cords that I accidently leave on the floor or are always on the floor for a lamp and such. It has a harder time sensing small objects like my kids socks, the puppy chew toys, trauma pads, etc. (trauma pads where from when my four year old was trying to find my wife a band-aid); but it can see water bottles, shoes, cans, and avoid those, the smaller stuff it’ll just push along until it turns a corner at some point. Talking about corners, this doesn’t have any. The side brushes help quite a bit as well as the ability for this to pull in stuff more than other vacuums, but the very corners of rooms might be missed a bit, though stuff isn’t going to pile up in the corners like some of the older round vacuum models. The app itself is one of my most favorite apps for a vacuum period. It gives you so much control over the vacuum and its settings. The only thing I couldn’t find was the battery percentage. There are four vacuum power settings, four water flow levels, auto boost, optional continuous cleaning, optional do not disturb, cleaning schedules, a cleaning log, accessory usage along with estimated hours of ‘life remaining, optional voice reports, and optional multi floor settings. The last one is an option I played with but won’t use as I have a vacuum for my second floor. It works, but you need to move the base and each time you change floors the base needs to go in the same place that you first put it for it to remember where it is at and have zero issues getting lost (this thing hasn’t gotten lost once on me) If you want multi floors, I’d suggest buying a second base to leave in place on each floor. The cleaning reports show the exact time it took, a map of the floor with white lines of everywhere it went, as well as the square footage covered. This data is also available live while it is cleaning. If you want a custom cleaning after the first time you run it to create the floor map it’ll create different areas, and it did it exactly how I would have divided it up except one area (our living room, kitchen and dining room is one big area, but you can create custom areas too along with virtual boundaries and no mop zones, etc. I don’t know that I can express with how much I am impressed with the ability to control what this robot does.
I think that sums up how this thing has worked for me. Overall, I love it and when the upstairs vacuum fails, I’ll most likely switch it to an Ecovac as it is the smartest, thinnest, and user controllable vacuum I’ve used. Everything I’m looking for in a vacuum.
Pros:
User Configurability
Battery Size
Information on the battery
App (information is available live as well as after)
Quality of work (it doesn’t leave junk behind)
Multi-floor/multi map capability
Thin (can go under our downstairs couches)
Cons:
Alexa and Google aren’t working quite yet.
Round
Couldn’t find actual battery percentage (probably not important to 90% of people)
Smaller brush head (didn’t seem to hurt the results)
Overall I’d definitely recommend this to anybody looking for a capable mop and/or vacuum and especially to those looking for both.

This thing is absolutely insane! I couldn’t be happier. The set up was super easy, it’s very effective and I really love the suction boost when it goes over carpeting. I would love to find a solution that works in the reservoir instead of just water, but for a quick spot mops it’s great!
