Not gonna lie. I was too intimidated to set this robot vacuum up so my wife configured everything. She was able to set-up the robot vacuum in less than 30 minutes from unboxing to having it run its first cleaning. We were baffled at how smart it was at detecting and avoiding objects and how thorough it was at cleaning carpet (we're getting porcelain tile layed down as I type this so possible future update on how well it does non-carpet floor) . We went for this vacuum because we watched a YouTube video review of many robot vacuums and the guy who has reviewed more than 20 robot vacuums personally uses this one. We just purchased the self-emptying base as well but have not put that to use yet, but it is also a convenient option. Thoroughly satisfied customer here.

An amazing and must have ! It just vacuums my house very good . You can also custom it if you need on certain additional place.. you have options of selecting the water flow level and the times you want to vaccum.. the interesting part I liked is.. when you add the water reservoir it doesn't go on to carpet places.. that's really awesome

Quick summary: A well designed and effective at home robot that works in multiple situations. There are only a few minor issues with connectivity (2.4 ghz only) and size due to the on board sensors (a pro and a con). Well worth purchasing for an extremely high tech vacuum/mopping robot. Design: This thing looks cool. It is sleek and modern in design and looks neat sitting in a corner when not in use. If you need to pick it up there is no easy to reach handle, and you will simply need pick it up by the sides. This is not an issue at all but just be aware. It has a decent amount of weight to it. The top has a large knob which houses many of the sensors (more on this later). There are side brushes on both sides to push debris into the main vacuum. The main optical camera is directly in the front of the unit. The specs say the dust bin carries approximately 420 ml so you will need to empty after each cleaning. Battery is rated for three hours using a 5200 mAH Li-ion battery. Set up: It is relatively easy but you will need the Ecovachrome app to set up properly. You will scan codes from the packaging to set up during the process and tie it to your account. The only issue I ran into is that the vacuum only supports 2.4 GHz. If you are on 5 GHz wifi, this is slightly inconvenient. It took a minute to figure this out so switch to your 2.4 to set up to avoid any hassle or the set up process will fail if you are on 5 GHz. In the box you will find instructions, the charging dock, warranty, reusable cleaning cloth, disposable mop cloths (5), extra brushes (4), HEPA filter (2) and a cover for the camera. Use: In use the robot performs flawlessly. It is one of the smartest robot vacuums on the market in my opinion. The device will map out the room using a combination of sensors including cameras and lasers. This is why the bump is so large. It will hug your baseboards and walls and rarely will bump into anything so scratches on the unit and furniture should be a non-issue. It will clean in parallel lines and appears to be highly efficient in its cleaning route. Once it rolls over a carpeted area, it appears to increase suction and you will audibly hear it using a little more power. Most of the time the device is relatively quiet unless the brushes are needed, then it sounds like a small airplane propeller. After cleaning is complete, it finds its base station with ease and docks, it does not take long since it already knows where it is in the internal map. The mopping feature advises you to use filtered water which might be an issue for some. I assume this is to prevent any buildup of calcium inside to robot to minimize any needed descaling. For mopping you will attach the disposable cloth to the cleaning plate. It does not leave any wet residue after going over and vacuums / mops simultaneously. I noticed battery run time was a little lower while mopping but it was not significant. I cannot rule out that it might not have been fully charged prior to mopping though. App: The app is easy to use and shows you the most recent maps that the device has created. You can schedule cleaning times in there. Firmware is issued remotely as well so this should be a non issue for the unit. I didn’t find much use for the camera feature but you can use your camera to see a first person view from the robot while it is cleaning to your phone. It’s cool to play with but seems to have a specific use case. You can steer the robot while doing this in the app. In the app you can set up virtual boundaries to keep it out of certain rooms. Summary: There is not much to dislike about this device. Almost every feature is overkill and it appears as if it will last a long time with its high end features and durability. There are few costs of ownership here to be aware of such as replacement parts, cleaning cloths, filtered water, but if you know this going in it should not be a large issue. The only thing that felt out of date on this was the 2.4 GHz wifi support, I would have liked to see 5 GHz support since some users might need to adjust their wifi routers to support.

This models is much better than the older one. It has a camera and you can use your phone as a remote. I can let you modify the map that it creates and works good with Alexa & Google.

One of the few purchases that I was extremely positively surprised by. Works extremely well. Coming home every day to a freshly vacuumed apartment. Should have bought a vacuum robot sooner

The Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo T8 AIVI is a pricey 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop with excellent battery life, the ability to identify and avoid obstacles, and a unique home monitoring feature.

We recently switched from the Samsung robovac, which we loved. But this one does both dry vac and wet mop. It's fast and really works well.

Easy to set up and use the first time. So far hasn't gotten stuck transferring from hard wood floors to carpet.

Great upgrade from the Shark IQ. Sometimes doesn't go under tables and the app has some software bugs. 8/10, high potential for the future with improved app updates and the self emptying bin.

This is by far worth it's money. The way it maps out the rooms are great. No more towers. I'm even happy with the mopping feature. Set-up required us to reset the router. Their customer service responded on Christmas Day with a few suggestions and they worked. Great customer support. It has gotten caught on the tassels on an area rug, no surprise. It does a great job cleaning up to the wall. Cell phone app is easy to use.

Overall satisfied with performance of dry and wet cleaning, very quiet, only concern is little okay on carpet cleaning, little issue with hair tangling on the cleaning brush and side brush.

I've read that this Ecovacs vac and mop is a really good robot vacuum. I just decided to save some money and get a regular robot vacuum since I already have a steam mop.
