    TIMELESS CLASSIC

This timeless classic is a "must see" for all! Johnny Depp's stellar, yet super scary performance is amazing. His hybrid persona, which is half human/half scissors, sets the stage for a unique entertainment style that only Johnny can dramatically carry out. I highly recommend this anniversary edition.

I found this while browsing through the store. A must have movie for my collection and it was cheap. So happy there are still stores you can go to and find random surprises while browsing

Now that I'm older, Tim Burton ain't all that. Still unique, though. Wait, did Winona start that whole "turn your fingers into a heart" thing that idiots around the world have been doing? If so, I'm so done with Winona. #BeetlejuiceisbetterthanEdwardScissorhandsbutAlecBaldwinisanawfulhumanbeing

This film shows the talents of Johnny Depp as one of the great actors in recent times for his role as Edward. The cameo appearance of Vincent Price as the Inventor makes this film a classic. The plot involves an "Inventor" who creates a sort of android from a metal robot who made cookies on an assembly line. The Inventor dies just before completing Edward's human-like hands leaving him alone in the mansion. He is happy there until an Avon Lady makes a visit to solicit sales of cosmetics. She takes Edward home to live with her and people problems evolve in this suburban development. He finds plutonic friendship with her daughter, Kim. However, Kim's boyfriend becomes jealous and tries to kill Edward, and also runover Kim's little brother in a drunken rage. Finally, the town mob chases Edward back to his hilltop mansion where Kim's boyfriend is killed in self defense by Edward. Kim lies and tells everyone Edward was killed by the boyfriend so everyone returns home. Tim Burton is the genius director behind it all. Don't miss this.

    Delightful Burton film

Very typical Tim Burton film attempting to be as off-the-wall hilarious as the rest of his bizarre concoctions. This features a strange little fellow, the creation of Vincent Price, a semi-mad scientist, who lived in a dilapidated castle on the far end of a pastel-colored neighborhood. He put Edward together, but died before the project was finished . Incomplete, and saddled with gigantic scissors for hands, this odd, hopelessly ill-equipped innocent is introduced into a bland, completely homogenized characterless neighborhood by a ridiculously over-enthusiastic Avon lady. Wildly satiric film takes on all sorts of Americana topics, very successfully.

A tremendous fairytale of a film featuring all the hallmarks of a Tim Burton movie. Truly a heartwarming tragedy from its Gothic mansion to the pastel suburbia. Simply beautiful.

I saw this movie a long time ago when I was a kid and never really understood it. Seeing it now that I’m older I thought it was great. I see why there’s a reason T. Burton is highly regarded in the movie industry. The price for this was great and I love how it is also offered in digital. I def recommend!

Love this movie from top to bottom. Johnny Depp once again going all out with characterization costuming and overall arc of character. The neighborhood supporting cast is lovely for this Tim Burton flick. Wacky, zany and overall wonderful. If you’re a Burton fan this should be in your collection.

No Jack Skellington but Johnny Depp plays Edwards innocent ackward sheltered existence all to well. Similar themes as most Tim Burton projects -- but this is no PEE WEE movie. Playing a much more somber tone! Still fantastic and always worth a rewatch or give to a friend having a bad week!

Young Johnny Depp doing one of his wonderfully weird portrayals. Considered a comedy, but for me, I see a much deeper and moving picture. The ice dancing scene is one that I always am waiting for. The final scene of the old woman and her words are so touching and endearing.
