It has only one song pre-loaded, and does amplify without being attached to a device. my daughter loves it, only wish it'd expand to fit a tablet instead of just a phone.

We couldn’t get it to work. Holding the button down didn’t even let us record. We were able to take pictures but only if my iPhone was connected.
