Elaine Stritch was a great entertainer - her stories are both funny and touching. The problem with this DVD is that it is has been shortened considerably for broadcast on television. The original-length DVD runs for 2 hrs and 26 minutes; this version is about an hour and a half. I would still recommend, though, because her stories and songs are delivered in a way no one else could do. You will want to watch this again and again.

Broadway's Elaine Stritch takes the stage in a 2 hour show of songs, dance and stories. Sharp-tongued and smart, Stritch is a straight-shooter, a broad in the best sense of the word. Definitely the kind of dame you don't run into much of nowadays - what a shame. Enjoy!
