great game! haven't had a single bug which in my experience in this type of massive game is rare. The open world is huge! It is very challenging but that keeps you coming back for more. I really appreciate not having to have online connection to play as well. Very impressed and happy with this purchase

This is simply one of the best games I've ever played. However, for any prospecting buyer, I have to warn that this is not a game that everyone is able to complete. The difficulty is incredibly hard and you absolutely have to be very good at video games if you want any chance of beating it. However, it's still entirely possible for anyone to learn the combat system even if you haven't played a Souls-like or other similar games like Monster Hunter. As long as you have the patience to learn from your mistakes and adapt to your enemies, Elden Ring will be one of the best games you'll ever play!

10/10 would recommend. Elden Ring has given me hours of playing time with continued content coming, PvP additions and changes as well as potential CDLs. The game is expansive, challenging, and just good plain old exciting/fun.

Maybe not my type of game because of the difficulty and steep learning curve. But I can definitely appreciate the amount of effort and beauty that this game has. Absolutely gorgeous.

Its a epic game to venture toward challenging quest and talking to NPC. Batle great boss battles and claim great taliman and weapons. Beautiful scenes and various lands to explore. A great replay to prepare for the DLC. I finish the game with many achievements and completed all the boss battles.

Though it has a single player mode, the bosses are extremely hard to get past. It was also a little confusing on how to level up your character causing me to search youtube for advice. Other than that, the game play is pretty darn good and I enjoy the expansive environment there is to explore. I would also like to see an off line version of the game so it could be played without internet accesss.

This game may not be for everybody but it is a phenomenal game.
Pros - Large, open world game that focuses on self-guided exploration and allows you to explore and progress anywhere, anytime.
The graphics, music, sound effects, etc. are all fantastic and really add to the experience.
Any character class that you start with can morph or change into whatever your playstyle desires with a focus on melee or magic or both.
Possible Cons for some but I think is also a pro - The game isn't going to guide you, it offers a tutorial but is not forgiving my any means. Some players have complained that it is too hard, and at first I started to agree. However, after playing and getting used to the mechanics and how the enemies interact, the game becomes quite fulfilling and satisfying.
I like the partnering capability to ask for help from other players on some of the boss fights but also like the option of using NPCs to help (Ashes of War).

This is quite possibly the best game I have ever played. The open world, the challenging combat, and the incredible boss fights. I highly recommend to those who want to face an incredibly challenging but magical experience.

I love it. Challenging but fair. A complete game with no micro transactions. Everything is out in the massive and highly populated world for you to get. Can be extremely frustrating at times but all in all is a really fun game

Very nice departure from the brutally hard Bloodborne / ____ Souls games, now simply transitioning into the "ultra-hard realm". Loving the open world setting, storylines, and side quests. An absolute, "gotta have" gem!!!

While I bought this copy for my dad (and I wonder how he'll do with it given it will be his first FromSoft game), I have it as well. Some bosses are difficult, but not unfairly so. It's the easiest Souls game in my opinion, so a great entry point for anyone wanting a more challenging action RPG experience. As for length, I clocked just under 60 hours having explored almost every zone and beating every major boss; I also am fairly experienced and moved quickly, so I'm sure 80+ could be expected for a first-timer, even more if you dig in every nook and cranny before moving on.

I died like 50 times during the first hour and almost gave up but I kept on trying. Now I'm 24 hours in and it has become really enjoyable. Im still dying all the time tho.

If you’re a veteran of the Dark Souls/Bloodborne universe created by Miyazaki, you know what to expect. Those newcomers who think this will be drastically different…are wrong.
The game is open world this time, so it definitely gives you more freedom to explore on your own schedule. That helps a lot but the combat is still painfully difficult and likely will put off a lot of first timers. I’m used to this unique genre but I still find myself looking for info via online guides and videos. I think that’s what Miyazaki wants…players to create a shared community where they discuss tips and share ideas about how to tackle certain areas. I admire that but it can feel a little exhausting at times, to constantly head to the internet in the middle of a session.
This world is so richly detailed and intricate though, that you can easily spend hours on just one small area. The sense of discovery is great here. More patient gamers will be rewarded. Those who wish to rush through won’t get the full experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this game but it’s certainly not for everyone!

Phenomenal. Challenging, brutal and beautiful, Elden Ring’s expansive open world provides an opportunity for even the most experienced gamers to get lost in the magic of exploration and combat.

The combat in this game feels better than other Souls games, as does the difficulty curve. It feels like there are more save points as well. The world here is great. This part feels modern and I wish more game world designers would design like this where side paths and structures feel natural in there placement and some can take you on branching paths elsewhere vs in most open world games where most things feel like the developer was obligated to put the thing where it was and the logic on why it was there is flimsy. Now, onto the not so good things. The graphics and performance is just OK at best. Really, by now, FromSoftware should have learned how to make a solid 30fps game, with character models and textures that don't look like they were upres'd from a PS2 game. Some animation is a bit janky as is the norm in Souls games. There's certainly a lot to like here, so the negatives feel less impactful to me as they do in like Dark Souls 1.
